Quando nello sport il fattore rischio cresce al crescere della velocità si rende assolutamente necessario l’uso di un accessorio: il casco. Briko si è preoccupata fin da subito di studiare i
problemi connessi alla pratica degli sport che richiedono l’uso del casco, elaborando con i propri atleti e ricercatori un programma globale di sicurezza: il Safety Program.
Numerosi studi hanno dimostrato come l’uso del casco sia in grado di ridurre drasticamente la gravità dei traumi che la testa può subire a causa di sport come il ciclismo o la MTB. Chi va
in bicicletta senza casco in caso di caduta rischia maggiormente di ferirsi in modo grave il capo rispetto a quanti, invece, ne indossano regolarmente uno.
Il compito di un casco da ciclo è:
• ridurre il carico dell’urto trasmesso alla testa
• rimanere in posizione, evitando così di essere scalzato
• garantire una situazione di comfort: leggerezza, areazione e aerodinamicità

The helmet was made with “In-moulding” technology: this technology makes it possible to cast the external polycarbonate
cap directly during the injection stage of the expandable polystyrene (EPS) into a perfectly monolithic structure. Since it is much
more highly resistant to impacts, it is much safer for you.
The rigid external cap provides the helmet with greater impact resistance while the internal EPS structure has the function of absorbing
the energy developed by the knock while the rigid external cap provides the helmet with greater impact resistance.
I caschi briko sono stati realizzati grazie alla tecnologia
“In-moulding” che permette di fondere la calotta esterna in policarbonato direttamente durante la fase di iniezione del polistirolo EPS craendo una una struttura perfettamente monolitica. Molto resistente agli urti e molto sicura.
La calotta esterna rigida conferisce al casco una maggior resistenza
all’impatto mentre la struttura interna in EPS ha la funzione di assorbire
l’energia sviluppata dall’urto.

BRIKO has studied three protection systems applied directly to the helmet in order to increase the safety: the CAGE PROTEK FULL SYSTEM, the CAGE PROTEK SYSTEM and the PROTEK HIGH SIDE
SYSTEM.
- FULL CAGE PROTEK SYSTEM: a semi-rigid structure made of a plastic material which is inserted inside the EPS structure, during the In-mold molding technology stage and which helps to reinforce
the helmet and make it resistant and flexible at the same time.
- CAGE PROTEK SYSTEM: two semi-rigid structure made of a plastic material which are inserted in the front side and the back side of the EPS structure, during the In-mold molding technology stage
and which helps to reinforce the helmet and make it resistant and flexible at the same time.
- HIGH SIDE PROTEK SYSTEM: extra protection designed to protect the occipital lobe of the head, where you process visual information, often involved in sports injuries. The design of the helmet
follows the anatomy of the head wrapping and protecting the rider during the performance.
Per aumentare la sicurezza dei caschi BRIKO ha studiato tre sistemi di protezione direttamente applicati al casco: il FULL CAGE PROTEK SYSTEM, il CAGE PROTEK SYSTEM e l’HIGH SIDE PROTEK
SYSTEM.
- FULL CAGE PROTEK SYSTEM: si tratta di una struttura “a gabbia” semi-rigida in materiale plastico che viene inserita all’interno della struttura in EPS durante la fase di stampaggio In-mold per
rinforzare il casco e per renderlo , contemporaneamente, resistente ed elastico.
- CAGE PROTEK SYSTEM: si tratta di una struttura “a gabbia” ,divisa in due parti semi-rigide in materiale plastico che vengono inserite, frontalmente e posteriormente, all’interno della struttura in

- HIGH SIDE PROTEK SYSTEM: si tratta di una protezione ulteriore studiata per proteggere il lobo occipitale della testa, sede dell’elaborazione delle informazioni visive e coinvolta spesso nei traumi
sportivi. Il design del casco segue l’anatomia del capo avvolgendo e proteggendo il ciclista durante la performance.

The cyclist spends a lot of time on the bike and he
faces all kinds of weather conditions, from the cold
days to very hot and muggy days. During the hot seasons it is very important to keep your head cool
and dry.
For this reason all BRIKO helmets includes several very
ventilation holes and air channels inside the cap in
contact with the head. These air vents have been
designed in order to permit maximum heat dispersion and an excellent evaporation of sweat.

Per questo motivo tutti I modelli di caschi BRIKO sono
dotati di molti fori di areazione e ampi canali nell’intercapedine a contatto con la testa. Queste prese
d’aria sono state posizionate in modo da consentire
la massima dispersione del calore e un ottima evaporazione del sudore.

The mustang is a helmet that flexs
all muscles when you talk about
safety and fit customization.
Safety is guaranteed by the FULL
CAGE PROTEK SYSTEM, a semi-rigid structure made of a plastic
material which is inserted inside
the EPS structure, during the Inmold molding technology stage
and which helps to reinforce the
helmet and make it resistant and
flexible at the same time. Fit customization is ensured by the 2-ways
adjustment system (vertical and
horizontal). These mechanisms
allow you to adapt the height of
the retention system to your individual morphology and fit the helmet to your head securely.
