ALL SAINTS' EVE - ALL HALLOW'S EVE
Hallowe’en
Children and young at heart are welcome to come and receive
your sweet treats and religious medals on Sunday, October 31,
between 6 p.m. & 8 p.m. Fr. Carlos will be handing out goodies
at the doors of St. Clare's rectory; Fr. Vito will be handing out
goodies at the doors of St. Nicholas' Church.

On Monday, November 1 , we
celebrate the Feast of All Saints.
Masses are at 9 a.m. and then at
7:30 p.m. with refreshments to
follow in the Hall. We invite you to bring some sweets.
All Souls Day
Tuesday, November 2nd is All Souls Day. We have Masses
at 9 a.m and at 7:30 p.m. Please join us for one of these
Masses as we pray for all our faithful departed.
OPEN HOUSE AT LORETTO COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL

Archbishop Romero Open House
Grades 7 and 8 students and their parents are cordially invited to
attend the Archbishop Romero Open House on Wednesday,
November 3, at 7:00 p.m. Come and learn more about the
valuable educational opportunities that Archbishop Romero offers
its students including, academics, athletics, enrichment,
leadership, and arts.
55+ Group
The 55+ group will be getting together in the Parish Hall
this Thursday, November 4th at 9:30 a.m. for some Pizza
and a game of Bingo. All the young at heart are invited!
Holy Hour for Vocations
Holy Hour takes place in the church from 6 – 7 p.m. this 1st
Friday, November 5th following the 5:30 p.m. Mass. We
will have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Meditation,
Confessions and ending with Benediction. This is to pray
for an increase in Vocations to the priesthood and religious
life. Please come pray with us.

Scriptural Reflection
Our Scriptural Reflection Group meets on
Tuesday, November 9th at 7:30 p.m.

TAIZÉ PRAYER
Join us on Friday, November 12th at 7:30 p.m., when our
parish will gather in prayer and meditative reflection in the
style of Taizé.
ST. CLARE'S BAZAAR
November 12-13-14
It is almost time for the BAZAAR. Come and invite family and
friends to visit our church hall. Come and see. Come and
shop. Come and eat. Yes, you will be able to have a meal at
the bazaar, or take food home with you. If you have any
items you wish to donate for the bazaar (in good condition),
please bring it to the office anytime beginning Thursday,
November 4th (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). On
Thursday and Friday, November 11 and 12, we will also be
accepting baked goods to sell. With everyone's involvement,
this will be a great event. For further information, please call

Advent Twilight Retreat
On Monday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. we continue our Adult
Faith Formation series, with this Advent twilight
retreat, Advent Waiting. Mary Marocco, lecturer, writer and
director of St. Mary of Egypt Refugee Centre will guide us as
we anticipate Advent, a time of hope-filled waiting
and preparing ourselves for the coming of Christ and for the
surprises of Christmas.
INSURANCE COLLECTION
As expected, our bill for this year’s Insurance has just
come in at $17,795.75! Unfortunately, every year we
continue to experience a great struggle as we strive to pay
this hefty but necessary bill. Last year, even with our
special Insurance collection, we were about $1,000 short
and so we did our best to make up the difference. This
year, we will take up a special collection on the first
weekend of Advent (November 27/28). If each family
could contribute $50, we’d be able to cover this bill, so we
ask that you please do your best as we start raising funds
for this year’s Insurance! Thank you.
Advent/Christmas Tour to Frankenmuth, Michigan
Thank you to all those who will be joining us on the November
27/28 excursion to Frankenmuth in Michigan! Our bus is now
full, but if you’d like to leave your name on a waiting list in
case there’s a cancellation, please call the office.

ORA SANTA PER LE VOCAZIONI
Il 5 novembre è primo Venerdì. Ci saranno le Messe alle 9 a.m. e alle
5:30 p.m. Dalle 6 alle 7 p.m., ci sarà un’ora di esposizione del SS.
Sacramento, con meditazione, confessioni e preghiere in silenzio a
favore delle Vocazioni sacerdotali e religiose. Si concluderà con la
benedizione eucaristica.
Cambiamento D’Orario
Domenica mattina, 7 novembre, non dimentichiamo di mettere le
nostre sveglie indietro un’ora.
Preghiera Di Taizé
Siete invitati a partecipare venerdì sera, 12 novembre, alle ore 7:30
p.m. ad un incontro di preghiera, meditazione e canto, sullo stile di
Taizé. Non mancate.
BAZAAR – SANTA CHIARA
Novembre 12-13-14
È quasi ora. Prepariamoci per un bellissimo evento. Venite, invitate
parenti e amici, osservate, comprate, mangiate (ci sara' la possibilita'
di consumare pasti in sali, o portare cibo a casa). Abbiamo bisogno
anche della vostra collaborazione. Portate in chiesa oggetti che non
usate piu' a casa (in buone condizioni). Iniziamo a raccogliere gli
oggetti da GIOVEDI 4 NOVEMBRE (dal lunedi al venerdi, dalle 9 del
mattino fino alle 5 del pomeriggio). Portate cio' che avete in ufficio
parrocchiale. Inoltre, il giovedi o venerdi, 11 e 12 novembre,
accoglieremo anche torte e biscotti fatti in casa da vendere durante le
giornate del bazaar. PARTECIPIAMO INSIEME. DIVERTIAMOCI. E
AIUTIAMO LA PARROCCHIA CON IL RICAVATO.

COLLETTA PER L’ASSICURAZIONE
Come previsto, la bolletta per l’assicurazione di quest’anno è arrivata
a $17,795.75! Purtroppo, l’anno scorso abbiamo avuto un pò di
difficoltà con questa bolletta pesante ma necessaria. Anche con la
colletta speciale che facciamo, non siamo risusciti a raccogliere il
necessario e abbiamo dovuto rimetterci diversamente. Quest’anno,
avremo una colletta speciale il primo weekend d’Avvento (27/28
novembre). Se ogni famiglia potrebbe contribuire $50, riuscireremo
ad affrontare questa spesa. Vi preghiamo di fare il vostro meglio.
