28ª BIKER FEST INTERNATIONAL METZELER
(Lignano Sabbiadoro - Udine/Italy, May 15/18, 2014)
The 28th edition of the Biker Fest International Metzeler at last could greet with four wonderful sunny days it’s several guests coming from
Italy, from different European Countries (Moldavia, Russia, Ukraine, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Czech Rep., Greece, Hungary, Poland included
those nearer) and Extra-European included USA and Libia. Since Friday the parking in front of the Luna Park Area, headquarter of the event
and location of the majority of shows and exhibitions, was full of every kind of motorcycles and the wonderful american cars that Sunday in the
morning gave life to the 19th US Car Reunion an event inseparable from Biker Fest and the oldest US Car Meeting in Italy.
During the 4 days all live concerts and shows happened as planned, starting with the incredible motocross freestyle of the Daboot Team, captained by Vanni Oddera and Super Dan on motorbikes and quad. Mr Oddera is one of the few Italians who can make a back flip (a loop the loop
jumping from a ramp of 22 metres) and represent Italy during international competitions.
Then there has been the Full Team stunt-men show, enduro, mini-bikes and the Scrambler Challenge in the Off-Road Area with the presence
of foreign pilots, an initiative that will grow in the next years. Saturday in the night took place the Saturday Light Fever: a parade through the
streets of Lignano with hundreds of bikes. But another time it was the biggest Bike Show in Italia, as well as the final of the Italian Motorcycle
Championship and the only italian data of the world AMD Championship, which took place in Terrazza a Mare, to call the attention of the public. The best three bikes received each one a flight to Daytona (offered by Altrimenti Viaggi Tour Operator) and three refund expenses of 1000
euros to take parte at the AMD Final Contest; many other prizes was offered by the other Sponsors.
The third area was the square in front of the Public Stadium with the Demo Ride of the Official Companies (Honda, Triumph, Victory-Indian,
Yamaha, Kawasaki, Husqvarna, Boss Hoss and Harley-Davidson in the Luna Park Area) which make available the last models of theirs brand to
try for free (more than 600 motorcycles were tried during four days).
