Michel Montecrossa started the Spirit of Woodstock Festival at Mirapuri in August 1993.
Since then every year a new spirit of music of courage and hope, sweetness of soul and
strength of joy reaches out for the future. The Spirit of Woodstock Festivals are creative with the
mighty dream of Unity, Love and Freedom. Guest musicians from all over the world come together
to play and sing along with Michel Montecrossa and The Chosen Few and an enthusiastic
audience for three days and nights every year in the first week of August. Since its inception in
1993 the Spirit of Woodstock Festivals at Mirapuri have developed into a great cultural event with
international flair and an inimitable atmosphere of Love and Joy.
Join three days of Live-Rock, Fun, Miss and Mister Rock ‘n’ Roll Election, Grill, Beerfest,
Dance, Festival-Dinner, Festival-Wines, Adventure-Camping, Picnic, Market, Games, Outfit…
Join as Dance-Visitor or come along with your Band or as a One Man Show or as an Exhibitor.
For active musician-participants boarding, lodging, a video of their performance and
six month internet presentation are free.
Boarding and lodging for all other visitors are priced at special festival-rates in Mirapuri
and at the adventure-camping place (for prices and exchange rates see page 21).

Michel Montecrossa gründete das Spirit of Woodstock Festival in MIrapuri im August 1993.

Our music for me is life: it is like a fire, burnin'
strong and hot. The dream that touches deep
in the heart and the Energy, that turns you on and
makes you happy and feel good. It's great to play
wild Rock 'n' Roll and to dive into Atmospheres of
romantic- or space-Rock Songs.
As a singer I try to express the dream of Love and
moments of experiences of life. Music is for me like a
key, it brings in new ideas, awakens hidden feelings
or pushes you simply higher.
Unsere Musik ist für mich Leben. Sie ist wie
ein Feuer, brennend stark und heiß. Der

It was always my great dream to become a
musician. I started early playing guitar and
soon began to develop my own musical ideas.
Continuing like this I fortunately had the chance to
join Michel Montecrossa's band 'The Chosen Few'
as a guitar-player. Here the speed of musical
development began to increase. I took up singing
and writing songs, which I perform together with
the band on our concerts. For me music is original
when it springs direct from life and I refuse to limit
myself to any musical category. What I sing and
play are my thoughts, feelings and dreams. Thus
making music connects me to the people and lifeenvironments that are the theme of my songs.
Music is to pass on a great dream and my songs
are the way how I want to pass it on.
Es war schon immer mein großer Traum
Musiker zu werden. Ich hatte früh
angefangen, Gitarre zu spielen und entwickelte
nach einiger Zeit eigene musikalische Ideen. Dies
ging so weiter bis ich eines Tages als Gitarrist bei
Michel Montecrossas Band ‘The Chosen Few’
einsteigen konnte. Hier beschleunigte sich meine
Entwicklung und ich begann Lieder mit englischen
Texten zu schreiben, die ich bei unseren Auftritten
mit der Band zusammen spielte. Da für mich Musik,
wenn sie echt ist, immer direkt aus dem Leben
entspringt, gibt es keine Musikrichtung, in die ich
mich einordnen lassen möchte. Was ich singe und
spiele sind meine Gedanken, Gefühle und Träume;
und Musik machen heißt für mich, in Verbindung
mit den Menschen und Geschehnissen zu sein,
über die ich singe. Darüber hinaus sehe ich Musik
als die Weitergabe eines Traumes an alle, und
meine Lieder sind die Art, wie ich ihn weitergebe.

diventare musicista. Ho cominciato presto a
suonare la chitarra e ho iniziato, dopo un po' di
tempo, a sviluppare proprie idee musicali. Andando
avanti così fino a quando ho potuto fare il chitarrista
nel gruppo di Michel Montecrossa ‘The Chosen
Few’. Qui si è accelerato il mio sviluppo e ho
cominciato a scrivere canzoni con testi in inglese,
che oggi suono durante le nostre esibizioni con il
gruppo. Siccome per me la musica, se è vera, salta
sempre direttamente fuori dalla propria vita, non
c'è nessun genere di musica al quale voglio essere
attribuito. Quello che canto e suono sono i miei
pensieri, sentimenti e sogni; e fare musica vuol
dire, per me, essere in collegamento con gli uomini
e gli avvenimenti dei quale canto. Inoltre vedo la
musica come trasmissione di sogni e le mie
canzoni è il modo con il quale li voglio trasmettere.

'Bez Bileta' (English translation is
'Ticketless') is a Belorussian folk-hardrock group. It was founded 1998 in Minsk. 'Bez
Bileta' is one of the representatives of new wave
groups of Belorus. The band members are:
Vitaliy Gerasimchik - lead-guitar, vocal (21 years old),
Oleg Rusak - bass-guitar (22),
Sergey Bakavez - solo-guitar (28),
Eugenie Voitkevich - drums (21),
Oleg Orlov - sound engineer, manager (29)
The history of the band is not long ‘cause we
started playing 1998. But in spite of the short
history the band had some successful performances
(in Belarus yet). While making music we try to mix
traditional ancient Belorussian tunes and modern
sound. In future the band is planning to use
different musical instruments in its activities, such
as pipes, violins, trumpets and so on. 'Bez Bileta's'
songs are in Belorussian language. During
Belorussian history our language and culture were
often destroyed by other nations. And now we
believe that in modern democratic society our
band will make its contribution in restoration of
Belorussian music, culture and language. At the
same time we have songs in Russian and English
language.
Remarkable notice: no one of the band
members uses to smoke!
Hobbies: football, painting, fishing.
'Bez Bileta' ('Ohne Ticket') ist eine
belorussische Folk-Hard-Rock Band.
Sie wurde 1998 in Minsk gegründet.. 'Bez Bileta'
repräsentiert eine der New Wave Gruppen aus
Belorus.

Die Band-Geschichte ist nicht lang, da wir erst seit
1998 zusammen spielen. Dennoch machte die
Band bereits einige erfolgreiche Konzerte in
Belorussland. Unsere Musik ist die Verschmelzung
von traditionell-ursprünglicher belorussischer Lied art und modernen Sounds. In Zukunft möchte die
Band auch Instrumente wie Flöte, Geige, Trompete
etc. verwenden. ‘Bez Bileta’s’ Lieder sind in belorussischer Sprache. Während der belorussischen
Geschichte wurde unsere Sprache und Kultur oft von
anderen Nationen zerstört. Wir glauben, dass in der
heutigen demokratischen Gesellschaft unsere Band
einen Beitrag zur Wiederbelebung der belorussischen
Musik, Kultur und Sprache leisten kann. Wir spielen
auch Lieder mit russischen und englischen Texten.
Besonderheit: Alle Bandmitglieder sind Nichtraucher
Hobbys: Fußball, Malen, Fischen.
Radio Vudù sehen sich als Zombies des
Punk-Rock, die 1993 wieder auferstanden
sind, um die Bühne mit den knalligsten Tönen der
‘70er und wilden Live Auftritten zu entflammen.
1994 haben sie ihr erstes Demo veröffentlicht.
Letztes Jahr haben sie die Mini-LP ‘L’inferno può
attendere’, mit 4 italienischen Liedern, realisiert
(positiv in der Fach-Presse besprochen). Beim
‘Spirit of Woodstock Festival 1999’ werden sie ihre
neue Mini-CD ‘Tutti fatti; fotti tutti’, die im Mai 1999
erschienen ist, vorstellen.
I Radio Vudù sono gli zombie del punk-rock
resuscitati nel 1993 per rilanciare le sonorità
più violente dei tardi anni settanta e per infuocare i
palcoscenici con animalesche esibizioni live. Nel 1994
hanno pubblicato il primo demo e l'anno scorso
hanno realizzato il mini-lp 'L'inferno può attendere'
contenente quattro brani cantati in italiano (recensito
entusiasticamente da tutta la stampa specializzata).
Allo 'Spirit of Woodstock Festival 1999' presenteranno
il nuovo mini-cd pubblicato a maggio 1999 ed intitolato
'Tutti fatti; fotti tutti'.
‘Bez Bileta’ (‘Senza biglietto’) è un gruppo
folk-hard-rock bielorusso. Fu fondato nel 1998
a Minsk. ‘Bez Bileta’ rappresentano uno dei New
Wave Groups della Bielorussia.
I membri del gruppo sono:

La storia del gruppo non è lunga, perché abbiamo
cominciato a suonare nel 1998. Nonostate ciò la band
ha fatto concerti di successo in Bielorussia. La nostra
musica è l’unione delle tradizioni musicali bielorusse
e musica moderna. In futuro la band vuole usare
anche strumenti come flauti, violini, trombe ecc. Le
canzoni dei ‘Bez Bileta’ sono in bielorusso. Durante
la storia bielorussa la nostra lingua e la nostra
cultura fu spesso distrutta da altre nazioni. Crediamo
che ora, in una società democratica, la nostra band
può dare un contributo per la rianimazione della
musica, cultura e lingua bielorussa. Suoniamo anche
canzoni con testo russo ed inglese.

Radio Vudù see themselves to be zombies of
punk-rock, resuscitated in 1993 to bring to the

The Changing Men came into being in 1995. Their music is
inspired by Garage Punk. 1996 sees the 7“ vinyl release ‘My
Life’, which is sold out in few month. 1997 brings ‘Wild
Wine’. In 1998 a coproduction with STP, produced by Tim
Keer, is released. In addition 2 songs are released on a
compilation of Kill Yourself Records from Modena.
