Facts
MAST – maritime and sail training
for young people
In 2013 around 300 youngsters aging
15-25 from Denmark, Germany, Poland,
Sweeden and Lithaunia will be sailing
upon classic sailing ships between the
countries of the project partners.
The project is part of the european
South Baltic Sea Programme.
Circa 300 giovani dai 15 ai 25 anni dalla

Svezia pronti a navigare su imbarcazioni

Around the islands Møn, Bogø and Nyord
the most inviting coasts and beaches
appeal to most youngsters not alone for
bathing, but also for spending time on
water generally.
Intorno alle isole di Møn, Bogø e Nyord le
coste, le spiagge e il mare invitano i più giovani ad approfittarne per una nuotata o per
attività acquatiche.
Lots of youth feel the school holidays are
long and sometimes boring, but the youth of
Vordingborg municipality is actually invited to
join the international EU-project MAST,
Maritime Education and Sail Training for
Young People. As participant the youngsters
will meet and work together with young ones
from Germany, Poland, Lithuania or Sweden
and experience all the challenges connected
to sailing upon classic sailing ships. These
include navigation, steering, keeping the ship
tidy, making food and learning to thinking
about safety – and the display of the cosy
crew life, even at a campfire!
During the school holidays there are several
options, both for sailing a week on a tall ship
from Poland, Sweden or Lithuania on the
open Baltic Sea, or for joining a sailing camp
with the historical postship Røret of Nyord
together with a german galliot. The sailor
camps are organised in local water areas
(Stege or Bogø) and in Wismar, Germany,
with skilled instructors from sailing schools,
Staysail at Møn and Seglerjugend of Wismar.

Per vivere al meglio le vacanze, la gioventù di
Vordingborg è invitata a partecipare al progetto internzaionale dell'Unione Europea MAST,
Maritime Education and Sail Training for Young
People. I giovani partecipanti incontreranno
colleghi da Germania, Polonia, Lituania e
Svezia e lavoreranno insieme per affrontare le
sfide della vela. Tra i compiti e le attività: navigazione, manutenzione della barca, attività in
cucina e corsi sicurezza - oltre alla possibilità
di provare l'allegra vita di un equipaggio e la
possibilità di fare un falò!
Durante le vacanze si presentano molte
opportunità: navigare una settimana su una
nave di alto bordo sulle acque del Baltico
oppure partecipare a un sailing camp sullo
storico battello postale Røret di Nyord o navigare su una goletta tedesca. Queste attività
sono organizzate nelle acque della zona (a
Stege o Bogø) e nel mare tedesco intorno a
Wismar - sotto la supervisione degli istruttori
delle scuole di vela Staysail di Møn e
Seglerjugend di Wismar.

cyclists and hikers. Sails Saturdays and
Sundays during the summer - read more at

Market Tuesdays in July and August.
Charters available - DKK 1500 per hour,
minimum 2 hours.
Stege - Kalvehave e ritorno
La più bella traversata in traghetto della
Danimarca per ciclisti ed escursionisti. Naviga i
sabato e le domeniche estive - trovi le informazioni sul sito. Il traghetto, a luglio e agosto,
raggiunge anche Stege per il mercato del martedì. Imbarcazioni a noleggio sono disponibili
per un minimo di 2 ore a partire da DKK 1500
/ €200 all'ora
