A note from Fr. Wayne . . .
The Deacon’s Desk . . .
Simple prayers to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
This weekend, the Church
returns to the season of Ordinary Time. All of the festivities surrounding Easter
and the feasts that followed
that great celebration are now completed. Even
though we call this season Ordinary Time, it does
not mean that this season is humdrum or boring.
Just the opposite is true. It is a time of great excitement and enthusiasm as we seek to find God in the
ordinary moments of the day. Saint Josemaria encouraged all people to seek and find God in the
ordinary. He further called people to do ordinary
things with extraordinary joy. Pope Saint John Paul
II called Saint Josemaria the patron saint of ordinary
What are the promises given to
those who honor Our Lord’s
Sacred Heart?
12 PROMISES OF THE
SACRED HEART OF JESUS
TO ST. MARGARET MARY
1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their
state in life.
2. I will establish peace in their families.
3. I will comfort them in their trials.
4. I will be their secure refuge during life, and, above
all, in death.
5. I will shed abundant blessings on all their undertakings
6. Sinners will find in My Heart an infinite ocean of
mercy.
7. Lukewarm souls will become fervent.
8. Fervent souls will rapidly grow in holiness and
perfection.
9. I will bless every place where an image of My
Heart shall be exposed and honored.
10. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most
hardened hearts.
11. The names of those who promote this devotion
will be written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.
12. I promise thee, in the excessive mercy of My
Heart, that My all-powerful love will grant to all
those who receive Holy Communion on the First
Friday of nine consecutive months, the grace of final
penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor
without receiving their Sacraments; My Divine Heart
shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.
life.
The pope said: “St Josemaria was chosen by God to
proclaim the universal call to holiness and to show
that everyday life and ordinary activities are a way of
sanctification. He could be called the patron saint of
ordinary life. The reason is his conviction that, for
those who start from the viewpoint of faith, everything offers an opportunity for an encounter with
God, everything becomes a stimulus for prayer. Seen
in this way, daily life reveals unsuspected greatness.
Holiness really is within everyone’s reach.” You can
clearly see from the words of Saint John Paul II ordinary time can truly be something that is extraordinary. Saint Josemaria would often remind people to
do the little things and do them well.

ELEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY
JUNE 14, 2015
Fathers are Wonderful People
Fathers are wonderful people
Too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
As often as we should...
Please join us every Saturday
morning after the Mass at 8:00 a.m.
for a time of Eucharistic Adoration.
During the Adoration, we pray the
Rosary for vocations, have time for
confessions, and spend some quiet moments with the
Lord. Join us for a few minutes or for the whole half
hour.
For, somehow, Father seems to be
The man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up little hurts
And nurses all our ills...
The Rosary is prayed every Monday,
Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday after
the 8:00 a.m. daily Mass. Also the Rosary is prayed on Saturday afternoon at
3:30 p.m. and on again on Tuesday
evening in the Chapel at 6:45 p.m.
And Father struggles daily
To live up to "HIS IMAGE"
As protector and provider
And "hero of
the scrimmage"...
And perhaps that is the reason
We sometimes get the notion,
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion,
The role of the Extraordinary
Minister of Holy Communion is
to assist in the distribution of
Holy Communion during Holy
Mass. Anybody wishing to help out during the Holy
Mass in this capacity is asked to see Fr. Wayne over
the weekend.
But if you look inside Dad's heart,
Where no one else can see
You'll find he's sentimental
And as "soft" as he can be...
But he's so busy every day
In the grueling race of life,
He leaves the sentimental stuff
To his partner and his wife...
Lectors
The role of the Lector is to read the Scripture passages for the celebration of the Holy
Mass. Anybody wishing to help out during
the Holy Mass in this capacity is asked to see
Fr. Wayne over the weekend.
But Fathers are just WONDERFUL
In a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments
And accolade of praise,
Altar Servers
The role of the Altar Server is to help out at
the Altar during Holy Mass.
If you would like to help out during Mass,
please see Fr. Wayne over the weekend. Altar Servers must have already received their First
Holy Communion.
For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness...
And like OUR HEAVENLY FATHER,
He's a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
To be ALWAYS ON OUR SIDE.
A SUMMER APPEAL
If you will be travelling during the
summer months, then please
remember your parish family while
you are gone. Perhaps you can
make a donation to help us with
summer expenses. It would be greatly appreciated if
that were possible. For those travelling, have a safe
and restful time. We will pray for your safe return to
us. For those who have returned, welcome home.
Thank You!

SALMO RESPONSORIALE
L’INGRESSO
Rit. Al tuo santo altar
Mi appresso, O Signor,
Mia gioia e mio amor.
I1 giusto fiorirà come palma,
crescerà come cedro del Libano;
piantati nella casa del Signore,
fioriranno negli atri del nostro Dio.
O Signore che scruti il mio cuore,
Dal maligno mi salvi il tuo amore.
Rit. Al tuo santo altar
Mi appresso, O Signor,
Mia gioia e mio amor.
Nella vecchiaia daranno ancora
frutti, saranno verdi e rigogliosi,
per annunciare quanto è retto il
Signore, mia roccia: in lui non
c’è malvagità.
Tu sei forza, sei vita immortal
Perche’ triste cammino tra il mal?
Rit. Al tuo santo altar
Mi appresso, O Signor,
Mia gioia e mio amor.
SECONDA LETTURA
GLORIA
Gloria a Dio nell'alto dei cieli e pace in terra agli
uomini di buona volontà. Noi ti lodiamo, ti
benediciamo, ti adoriamo, ti glorifichiamo, ti
Signore,
Figlio unigenito, Gesù Cristo, Signore Dio, Agnello
volatile all’ombra dei suoi rami riposerà.
basso, faccio seccare l’albero verde e germogliare
l’albero secco.

suoi discepoli spiegava ogni cosa
