Aim of the symposium.Intheverylastfew
years Maternal fetal medicine has
demostrated the key role of the maternal
cardiovascular system, both in the normal
evolution of pregnancy and the abnormal
development of hypertensive disorders.
Important areas of knowledge are still
beyond our grasp. Yet this new look at
hypertensive disorders of pregnancy could
allow us all to move beyond the present
standstill in prevention, prediction and
therapy.Intriguingargumentsarestillatthe
centre of debate on how to disentangle the
possible components of this syndrome.
Lectures and discussions will focus on
maternal
cardiovascular
physiology,
structuredevidencesofnewdiagnostictools,
possible new approach and therapies, open
controversies.
This new vision will be delivered and
discussed with the audience by European
experts
Obiettivo del simposio. Negli ultimi anni,
la medicina fetale materna ha prodotto
importanti risultati sul ruolo chiave del
sistema cardiovascolare materno sia nella
normale evoluzione della gravidanza sia
nello sviluppo anormale dei disordini
ipertensivi. Importanti aree di conoscenza
sono ancora là della nostra portata, ma
questo nuovo sguardo su malattie
ipertensive della gravidanza potrebbe
consentire di andare oltre l'attuale
situazione di stallo nella predizione,
prevenzione e terapia. Molti argomenti sono
ancora al centro del dibattito su come
identificare le possibili diverse componenti
fisiopatologiche di questa sindrome. Le
lezioni e le discussioni si concentreranno
sulla fisiologia cardiovascolare materna, i
nuovi strumenti diagnostici, possibili nuovi
approccieterapie,suiproblemicontroversi.
Questa nuova visione sarà presentata e
discussa con il pubblico da parte di esperti
europei

Lectures will be delivered in Italian or in
English. Slides, designed in order to be
sequential frames of the lecture, will be in
English. At the end of each session, data and
interpretations will be opened for discussion by
chairing discussants and by the audience. The
number of lectures is in fact limited in order to
allow for long and complete discussions.
Presentations will be posted on the web-site of
the Symposium.
