Note:
(1) Il sistema ALTE comprende per l'inglese i test dell'UCLES qui indicati e gli esami WOLE (Work Oriented Language Examinations), i quali testano tutte le 4 abilità in rapporto al CEF.
(2) UCLES include oltre ai sopraindicati esami del sitema ALTE (v. nota 1) anche gli esami CELS che valutano e certificano i livelli CEF nelle 4 abilità separatamente (per es. solo lettura, ecc.)
(3) Il Weiterbildung Textsysteme (WBT) rilascia "The European Language Certificates" (TELC) per 10 lingue: inglese, tedesco, francese, spagnolo, italiano, portoghese, russo, olandese,
danese, turco. Gli esami del WBT valutano le 4 abilità.
(4) Gli esami ESOL del Pitman sono solo scritti, mentre gli esami SESOL sono soltanto orali, per cui dovrebbero essere certificati ambedue per potere avere una completa corrispondenza con
il Quadro del Consiglio d'Europa.
(5) Fornisce una valutazione delle competenze di comprensione e produzione scritte ed orali con esclusivo riferimento alla lingua commerciale.
(6) I test EFB dell'LCCIEB sono solo scritti. Per i livelli 2°, 3°, 4° è possibile un'integrazione con un test orale facoltativo. Il test si concentra sul linguaggio commerciale.
(7) I test SEFIC del LCCIEB sono soltanto orali e sono attualmente disponibili solo in un numero limitato di paesi.
(8) Gli esami ESOL valutano solo le abilità orali. Gli esami ISE (disponibili da settembre 2001) invece, sono completi di tutte le 4 abilità.
(9) Nei London Tests of English dell'Edexcel International London la prova orale non è prevista, ma è facoltativa.
(10) Gli esami dell'ESB valutano solo le abilità di ascolto e produzione orale.
(11) Gli esami IELTS valutano tutte le 4 abilità linguistiche e hanno validità di due anni. Non esiste però alcun riferimento esplicito ai livelli del Consiglio d'Europa, per cui proponiamo un'ipotesi di
pseudo equivalenza, indicata in corsivo, da verificare in futuro.
(12) Per poter ipotizzare una corrispondenza con il Framework del Consiglio d'Europa è necessario integrare più test: chi ha il test in forma cartacea dovrebbe avere anche il TWE e il TSE; chi,
invece, ha il test in forma informatica dovrebbe avere anche il TSE. La validità degli esami TOEFL è di due anni.
