PROFESSIONAL PROFILE ‐ Architect and urban planner, head of the office ENRICO GARBIN_2architetti since 2001, with more than 15 realized projects including the Belvedere on the top floor of the Pirelli Skyscraper in Milan, a multifunctional space for events, exhibitions, conferences [exhibited at Shanghai EXPO in 2010]; the Borgo Sostenibile in Milano Figino, a social housing complex with 102 apartments for young families, elderly people, home office, day mothers, solidary families; a Living Pavilion for the Linear Park in Figino; the masterplan Cesalpinia in Bergamo, with social housing, offices, commercial spaces and a supermarket; the Auditorium of the Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo; the refurbishment of a silo parking garage for 230 vehicles in Milan; the Headquarter of RoundGroup in Vicenza; the Casa Galante in Valdagno. ‐ Expert in design competitions with the partecipation in 54 international contests, receiving 25 awards. As a collaborator he contributed to the success in the competition for the Ecumenian Art Chapel in Turku, Finland, and for the Concert Hall in Dortmund, Germany. As a project leader he has been winner in the competition for the Social Housing Masterplan in Milano Figino; runner up in the Europan competition in Kemi, Finland, and Bergamo, Italy; third prize for a Residential Unit in Tokio, Japan; finalist in the competition for the Architecture University Building in Venice, and for an Info‐space for the VIII Architecture Biennale in Venice. As a team member he collaborated to the first prize in the competition for the Belvedere of the Pirelli Skyscraper in Milan and the Kindergarden in Grezzago Milan; the second prize for the Porta di Milano at the Malpensa Airport; the third prize for the Social Housing masterplan in Settimo Torinese with Mecanoo architects. ‐ Freelance architect in several architecture offices in Finland, Germany and the Nederlands, collaborating in the design and realization of Housing complex, Office and Industrial buildings, Educational and Cultural facilities. ‐ Teaching assistant and exam committee member in the field of architecture and urban planning at the IUAV Architecture University in Venice in the years 2001‐2003. ‐ Lecturer on architecture projects at the IUAV Architecture University in Venice, at the Master in Social Housing at the Architecture Department of the University Roma 3, and at the UrbanPromo cultural event on urban regeneration through sustainable urban development. ‐ Co‐Curator for the architecture, urban planning and lanscape exhibition “Infrastrutture e Paesaggi Contemporanei” for the 75th anniversary of the IUAV Architecture University in Venice, and the exhibition “Architetture Contemporanee Vicentine” in the first edition of the Architecture Week in Vicenza ‐ Author of articles and projects published on architecture books and magazines such as Casabella, Progettare, Quaderni di Urbanistica 3, Concept, ARKkitehti, Puu. ‐ Interested in the field of Art, Design and Landscape architecture. ‐ Competent in EU funding and related EU Instruments.
