Our formative objective develops through three typologies of didactic modules: highly specialized guest speakers; famous designers with great didactic experience working with students in a workshop style setting; and professors with a strong humanistic culture in the technical labs. Immagini dei laboratori tecnici. 8 Images of technical labs. 9 JOINING DESIGN The recycling process in the formation and re-use of products: de-composing and assembling products, to give them a different and unexpected purpose. In the extraction of parts, details, materials and technological solutions, useful for a new and innovative project design aiming to create new functions for these products. DESIGN & PATENT Aiming to replace a void in the commercial market with a product of true innovation; applying existing technologies with the purpose of formulating new publications sector and design interfaces. INDUSTRIAL DESIGN & ORDER All the obliged steps to consider the design as a real service to a specific productive demand made of limitations and resources. From the idea to the execution: a process that cannot consider the figure of the designer separated from the figures in the company roles. DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE Here the design is the detail generated by the architecture which can even generate architecture itself. “Piece by piece”, where architecture is the development of a generating idea and leaves the architectural composition free to articulate itself also in virtual proposals. “Lightness” against any oppression and gravity of the manufacture, respecting the changes of a new multi-ethnic society that favours the culture of the weaving and plans the knot that generates the carpet. INTERIOR DESIGN The design of an interior in an anthropological sense where people live or work. A place to defend. An intimate geography in the space that presents itself as a second nature where people recognise themselves. The identity is a narrative space meant as a place of relation with the world . ARTISAN DESIGN The genuine craft production of a finished prototype or work item. The appliation sectors: from computer science to interior design, from a constructive detail to an alternative implan solution, from the daily objects to the jewel. 10 FASHION COORDINATION: The definition of this professional figure, necessary in the whole creative process of a fashion design company. The briefing, the concept, the permanent codes and the timing in all the operating phases dedicated to the realisation of a fashion collection. PRODUCT MANAGEMENT: The relations with the textile producers, the pattern-making, the cutting, the fitting, the defects correction, the costs evaluation, the details, the finishing, the final costs up to the launch of the collection, distribution and press. FASHION DESIGN: From the techniques of the “self” communication to the communication of “the other” through the necessary tools. The new fashion designers are known today as the “anthropologists of the present”, able to foresee the contemporary mindstyles and behaviours, to be always “in the heart of one’s own time”. TEXTILE DESIGN: Development and realisation of a textile collection in relation to the international megatrends; the choice of the pattern and the support type, colouring and printing techniques, sampling and production. The analysis of the printing possibilities according to the fabrics chosen, up to the variation techniques per typology, the destination and the distributive finality. ACCESSORIES DESIGN: From the terminology and analysis of the components of the different accessory types to the analysis of the materials, their performances and evoking features. Drawing skills, the choice of a mission and the concepts for the design through the operating steps: from the sketch to the detailed drawing and the representation techniques necessary for the communication of the project. In the specialty frame, completely new projects in the world of accessories are valued. From the historic route of the concept of displaying up to the concepts of showing, equipping and exposing in the contemporary world. Signalling elements: the graphic and the choice of the materials in conceptual displays and linguistic games. VISUAL MERCHANDISING: The store intended as a theatre of the product to communicate to its own taget the policies, the brand vision and its reference world. The distributive aspect becomes the real “sign” of the concept availing itself of the “relational sale” where all the displaying elements are aimed at it. CREATIVE COMMUNICATION & STYLING: Theories of the senses, of colour, photography, dance, fashion, the way to learn how “to read” an object and the meaning of “designing”. Theoretical and practical elements needed by a stylist as an image consultant. EDITORIAL COMMUNICATION:Starting from the analysis of the different identities of the design and fashion magazines up to the representation of the symbolic and narrative communication of new and different languages , a necessary experience to become able to define the identity of an image, a photoshooting or a text. CUT PASTE COMMUNICATION:To evoke imagination through the “cut & paste” methods presented by art and media. The analysis of the objects influencing the communication of “oneself” according to mindstyles detected and chosen, creats the experience of syntax and styling of a system of rules. The experience of the “do-it-yourself” method occurs through the representation of a symbolic and narrative communication, transformed into a story board dedicated to a project. INTEGRATED COMMUNICATION & PR DESIGN: The communication of a brand: the internal communication, namely the interaction between different people, cultures, points of view and the choice of the typology of the work place, the management Communication & marketing labs la gestione dei meeting, l’uso delle tecnologie, le news. 12 of the meetings, the use of the technologies and news. The external communication: techniques and instruments in the activation of the consulting such as the public relations, the press office, the advertising, the catalogues, the fashion shows, the events, the trade fairs, the media, the point of sale, the sponsoring, the company magazines, internet and co-marketing effects. CREATIVE & STRATEGIC MARKETING: The marketing of the “service” products with a high know-how component. General rules of the marketing divide the products into convenience goods, shopping goods, specialty goods, the brand component, the contacts network, the ideas for new businesses; the instruments of the communication to acquire new clients and to sell. The strategic and creative marketing dedicated to the project for the creation of new brands through the integrated process applied to its components in the search for the three identities: brand, product, distribution. Creative thought and logical thought go through the whole process of the fashion/design pipeline. The manager as an integrator and a director, to connect art and discipline. Vector of development in the style, management, production, licensing and distribution. BUYING & SELLING TECHNIQUES: The buyer and the sales agent, interpreters of the consumer’s demand, develop the techniques to select those products and compose a specific imaginary respecting the identity and the briefing of a company or of a shop in the evaluation of the resources, of information and of the strategies. Present in all the events showing a novelty, the buyer is entrepreneur in the analysis of costs and budgets, in deciding quantities and delivery terms, in defining the purchases, preparing the offer plan and planning a correct assortment. The definitive plan passes onto the merchandising techniques, the controls and the relations with the point of sale.
