The UK officially booked its place at the Milan Expo 2015
Universal Exposition on February 14, 2014, signing a participation
agreement and committing to build a Pavilion which will showcase
the best of UK research, innovation and entrepreneurship. It plans
to deliver a high-impact participation in Milan under the theme:
Grown in Britain: Shared Globally
We are
confident
that Italy will
deliver an
exceptional
Universal
Expo...
Feeding the planet is a global
challenge. The UK comes to Milan
with a powerful story to tell about
how it is innovating in science
and technologies needed to
address that challenge. The UK
will demonstrate two things. That
modern Britain is uniquely open,
creative, diverse and collaborative.
And that this unique outlook
is
generating
world-leading
breakthroughs in agri-tech, plant
science, animal health, food safety,
and the food and drink sectors.
UK representation will transcend bricks and mortar, and deliver
a truly novel experience, whether to visitors coming to Milan next
year, or to virtual visitors from around the globe. We look forward
to forging long-lasting partnerships as a legacy of this global event.
UK Trade Minister Lord Livingston said: “Through the UK Pavilion
we will reach millions of people around the globe and build on the
positive perception established by the UK Pavilion at Shanghai
Expo 2010 and the London 2012 Olympic Games.”

in the Universal Exposition – said Giuseppe Sala, Commissioner of the
Italian Government for Expo Milano 2015. “UK has interpreted the Theme
in a way perfectly mirrors the history of the Country that in 1851 hosted in
London the first edition of this extraordinary event. Innovation, research
and technology to improve the world and the quality of people’s life are
the key words of this event, the real baton that countries that have had
the honour of hosting it have then passed. A mission that Expo Milano
2015 wants to respect and value, inviting all participant countries to share

The Irish are among the most well

March 17 th, St. Patrick’s Day, it is
said, everyone is Irish for the day,
regardless of his or her heritage.
We see this holiday celebrated

This year, I’d like to highlight the
second edition of the St. Patrick’s
Festival, San Patrizio, taking place
on March 14 th, 15 th and 16 th at
Fiera Milano City. Easy Milano is
proud to endorse this event. We
recommend our readers to not
miss the great fun or as the Irish
say 'great craic' and enjoy pints
of the Black with traditional Irish
music, dance and culture.
