Ci siamo, la primavera avanza a grandi passi e annuncia l’arrivo
dell’estate, la stagione magica delle vacanze e del relax. Dopo
un anno di lavoro, per altro difficile per tutti, finalmente ci si
può concedere un periodo di stacco dagli impegni. Blue Panorama è orgogliosa di poterVi offrire soluzioni di ogni tipo,
dalle destinazioni più animate e vivaci alle capitali europee – la
grande novità di quest’anno è il volo per Mosca – dalle spiagge nelle isole europee più belle al mare incantato dei Caraibi.
Proprio delle prospettive di questa estate e delle ultime novità
turistiche parliamo in questo numero del magazine con Nardo
Filippetti, presidente di Astoi, l’associazione dei tour operator che aderiscono a Confindustria. Filippetti sottolinea come
sia importante, per la scelta di un soggiorno, scegliere agenzie
di viaggio affidabili che possano garantire la riuscita migliore
del "sogno di una bella vacanza".
E poi facciamo anche noi le nostre segnalazioni. Roma, innanzitutto, splendida in tutta le stagioni, ma prima dell’estate resa
magica dall’atmosfera, dai colori, dai profumi, dall’allegria che
ne invade strade e piazza. Ogni centimetro della città è testimonianza di una storia millenaria e straordinaria che si può
cogliere anche semplicemente con una passeggiata. E poi la
Sicilia orientale, quella collana di meraviglie che si rincorrono
lungo una costa unica dove Taormina splende di incomparabile
bellezza.

Here we are, the spring is making great strides and
announces the arrival of summer, the magical season of
holidays and relaxing times. After a year of work, more
difficult for everyone, finally we can find a break from the
obligations. Blue Panorama is proud to offer you every kind
of solutions, from the liveliest cities to the main European
capitals – the big news of this year is the flight to Moscow –
from the beaches in most beautiful European islands to the
enchanted Caribbean Sea. In this issue of the magazine we
talk about the outlooks for this summer and the latest tourist
destinations with Nardo Filippetti, President of Astoi, the
association of tour operators that adhere to Confindustria
(Italian employers' federation). Filippetti stresses how it is
important, for the choice of a holiday, to select reputable
travel agencies that can ensure the success of the best
"dream of a beautiful holiday".
And then we also do our highlighting. First of all, Rome, always beautiful especially in the summer; magic with the atmosphere, colours, scents and the happiness that invades
streets and squares. Every centimetre of the city is the proof

lampioni diventano ecologici. Le strade della città di Prato e di Mantova si popolano
di centraline multitasking, di una luminosità
intelligente che garantisce servizi e risparmio. Sotto la loro luce sarà infatti possibile
navigare in internet, consultare pannelli digitali per avere informazioni sulla viabilità,
ricaricare la batteria della propria bicicletta
elettrica o della propria auto. Inoltre i nuovi
lampioni dimezzano i costi energetici e di
manutenzione. Si tratta di un vero e proprio sistema integrato
capace di dosare la luce in base dell’orario e alla presenza di
auto e di segnalare in tempo reale eventuali guasti.

LONDRA: la nuova amsterdam
Una vera e propria rivoluzione a due ruote quella che vede Londra come protagonista.
A breve un miliardo di sterline verranno investite nella trasformazione della capitale
inglese in una nuova Amsterdam. Il progetto prevede infatti la creazione di un’ampia
corsia riservata ai ciclisti, una pista lunga quasi 25 chilometri che attraverserà l’intera
metropoli. Ci vorranno dieci anni per trasformare Londra in una città a misura di bicicletta, eppure si può già immaginare quale sarà l’aspetto del nuovo panorama urbano.
Enormi benefici per l’ambiente e la salute sono previsti con la realizzazione di quello
che alcuni definiscono come “il più ambizioso piano di sviluppo del ciclo trasporto
nella storia della Gran Bretagna”.

of straw. This is the latest initiative of the Canadian
non-profit organization Canopy that, along with Random House and other publishing houses of Canada, is
conducting an awareness program to save the trees.
The idea is to exploit the huge amount of straw that
every year the agricultural industries produced in
North America, thus showing to publishing companies that a more economical and environmental
friendly way to make books exists. McClelland & Stewart and Knopf Canada confirm this idea; they were the
first two publishing houses to print texts on this innovative support.

against depression, are back together in a winning combination. But this time in a completely new and unexpected way. The
trend that rocks in the most exclusive gyms of the Big Apple
seems to be the live show. In many American fitness club the
ipod have given way to bands and deejays, with stage and consoles. Live music accompanies zumba, aerobics and step classes, and everyone has the opportunity to choose the sport also
according to the musical tastes. Keep fit while attending a real
concert, a great novelty that could soon arrive in Italy.

’è sempre una porta nella storia di Roma. Quella
del Tempio di Giano segnalava la guerra quando
era aperta e la pace quando era chiusa, quella Santa
di San Pietro si schiude insieme al Giubileo. Evento sempre
atteso e temuto per la folla di pellegrini che porta con sé: il
prossimo sarà nel 2025, non manca moltissimo. Città della
fede e dell’arte, Roma ha custodito con qualche trascuratezza nella chiesa di Sant’Agostino, un quadro bellissimo e
doloroso: la Madonna dei pellegrini di Caravaggio, poi scelto
a simbolo dell’Anno Santo del Duemila.

anche alle bugie. Come nel caso di un semplice mascherone

L’Appia Antica, oltre a essere testimonianza della storia, è anche custode
di piccoli tesori naturali che hanno
incoraggiato il Comune a creare un
vero e proprio Parco. La circolazione
delle auto è vietata e la passeggiata in
bicicletta – se ne affittano anche nel
parco, alcune dotate pure di caschetto
e seggiolini – diventa un modo straor-
dinario per immergersi nella storia. La
Fonte Egeria, la valle della Caffarella,
la tomba dei Quintili, l’acquedotto
Claudio, consegnato anche all’effimera
celebrità moderna perché è stato set
del serial televisivo Incantesimo che per
dieci stagioni ha imperversato in tv.
Roma è così, capace di stupire. Magari
proponendo ancora bottigliette con
l’acqua della Fontana di Trevi, spacciata per magico toccasana della malinconia, una specie di acqua di Lourdes
del turista che vuole tornare sui sette
colli. Roma è magica, generosa e gaudente, protagonista di finzioni assolute e di meravigliose realtà, tesori che
tutti conoscono e altri che molti ignorano. Come Palazzo Spada, a un passo
da Campo de’ Fiori, accanto a Piazza
Farnese, in un’incantevole piazzetta
chiamata Capo di ferro: è un gioiello
del Cinquecento con una straordinaria

Roma. E offre scorci che nessun altro angolo di mondo è in grado di offrire. Punto di osservazione vicino al Palazzo della FAO,
dove finisce il lato sud del Circo Massimo e svettava l’Obelisco di
Axum, 24 metri d’altezza e 160 tonnellate di peso strappate all’Etiopia nel ’35 e poi riconsegnate, in giganteschi blocchi, nel 2008.
Ma da lì, basta stare fermi e muovere gli occhi, per veder scorrere
i secoli della storia e delle civiltà. Le bighe si sfidavano qui sotto,
di fronte alle maestose costruzioni del Palatino, sulla destra si vedono il Colosseo e l’Arco di Tito e sullo sfondo svetta la cupola di
San Pietro mentre si intravede la Sinagoga. Il Tevere scorre lento
e silenzioso. Da millenni.
Trastevere
illustri. Oggi ospita la sede del Consiglio di Stato e
all’interno custodisce la galleria prospettica del Borromini, capace di stupire come un miraggio: è lunga
appena nove metri, ma il genio architettonico la fa
sembrare molto più grande grazie al pavimento in
salita, le pareti convergenti e la volta in discesa. Visita da non perdere.
Grandi meraviglie e piccoli tesori. Che fanno di
Roma una scommessa, lo è sempre stata. Per la bonomia un po’ cinica dei suoi abitanti, per le cose
che a volte funzionano e spesso no. Ma Roma resta

back in giant blocks, in 2008. But from there, you just need to keep still
and move your eyes, to see scroll through the centuries of history and
civilization. The chariot contests took place here, facing the majestic
buildings of the Palatine, on the right side you can see the Colosseum
and the Arch of Titus and on the background the dome of the St. Peter
Basilica rises while you can glimpse the Synagogue. The Tiber flows
slowly and quietly. For thousands of years.

hi l’avrebbe mai detto che un viso candido e dolce come quello dell’attrice Jessica
Chastain poteva prestarsi a dare il volto alla killer di Osama Bin Laden? Stiamo
parlando del film Zero Dark Thirty, firmato dalla regista premio Oscar Kathryn Bigelow, pellicola che racconta di Maya, giovane ufficiale della CIA, che dedica 10
anni della sua vita alla ricerca di Bin Laden. Maya, interpretata dalla bella Jessica Chastain,
è una donna tutta intuito e forza, con un’inesauribile voglia di vendicare la catastrofe dell’11
settembre. Un killer inarrestabile. Scoprirà il rifugio dell’uomo più odiato di tutti i tempi per
ucciderlo. Uno dei ruoli più complessi interpretati fino ad oggi dalla Chastain che le è valso la
nomination all’Oscar come miglior attrice protagonista. Un’interpretazione piena di sfaccettature perché Maya è contemporaneamente delicata e sensibile, ma all’occorrenza anche feroce
nel suo intento di vendicare la morte di tanti innocenti. La Chastain non ha vinto l’Oscar ma
di certo ha raggiunto un punto di svolta nella carriera di attrice.
Recentemente è apparsa con un capello nero corvino nell’horror Mama (in Italia La Madre), mostrando
di essere assolutamente a suo agio anche con questo
genere di interpretazione.
L’attrice recita anche assieme a Colin Farrell nel film
di Ned Benson The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby:
Hers nel ruolo di Miss Julie ed è in trattative per il
Tarzan di David Yates. Il segreto di tanti successi
lo ha confessato lei stessa: quando legge la sceneggiatura di un film evita i personaggi simili a quelli
già interpretati. E, a dispetto della sua giovinezza,
ha lavorato con grandi autori, tra i quali Al Pacino,
Terrence Malick e Ralph Fiennes. Nel 2012 riceve numerosi riconoscimenti internazionali per
le sue interpretazioni in The Help e in The Tree of Life, ottenendo la sua prima candidatura all'Oscar come miglior attrice non protagonista. Successo replicato anche con Zero Dark Thirty, per
cui ha ricevuto una seconda nomination nell'edizione 2013.
Oltre ai consensi raccolti nel mondo del cinema si parla spesso di lei per il suo stile e la sua
eleganza: ha ammaliato tutti sul red carpet degli oscar in un abito Armani "che l'ha fatta sentire come Rita Hayworth", facendosi accompagnare dall'amata nonna Marylin che l'ha sempre
sostenuta e che ha avuto un ruolo centrale nella sua carriera di attrice. «A 7 anni mi ha portata
a vedere David Cassidy in Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, il musical di Andrew
Lloyd Webber. Quando si è alzato il sipario e ho visto una ragazza
della mia età che faceva la narratrice, ho capito quello che volevo
fare. Mia nonna Marilyn guarda tutti i film che faccio e tiene la foto
di me e Al Pacino sul comodino del suo letto, una di quelle che ci hanno
scattato alla prima di Wilde Salomé. E non solo: ha sempre un consiglio e un commento “su misura” per come mi vesto, fa anche battute
in merito...»

Gaia Trussardi, un membro della famiglia. Parlando degli
inizi in azienda, Gaia si racconta così: «Ho iniziato in Ufficio
Stile a 24 anni: lavoravo nella ricerca, pian piano rafforzando il
mio ruolo e scoprendomi talent scout». Ma spesso, soprattutto
quando guarda alle sue spalle, il pensiero di Gaia va al padre Nicola. «Il sabato o la domenica mi portava spesso ad Almè:

«Vesto Trussardi, Ludicious, ma anche designer indipendenti scovati a Londra – rivela –. Con una passione per il vintage:
quando sono a Bergamo apro gli armadi di mia madre,
alla riscoperta dei nostri montoni anni '80 e mocassini in
nappa».

seconda. Stiamo parlando di Sara Errani e Roberta Vinci, stelle del tennis
italiano che in coppia hanno raggiunto
la vetta dei campioni di questa disciplina battendo atlete del calibro delle

Tra i recenti successi conquistati dalle
due campionesse, Monterrey, Acapulco, Barcellona, Madrid, Roma, Parigi,

Il tennis non è solo uno sport, ma una

amore osteggiato però sin dagli albori
della sua carriera. Per via della statura
minuta la giocatrice non era considerata come una papabile promessa del
tennis in Italia, motivo che l’ha spinta
a proseguire gli allenamenti in Spagna,
dove è riuscita a crescere professionalmente. Nonostante la sua patria non
abbia creduto da subito in lei, la Errani
non porta rancore e subito dopo aver
portato a casa il secondo titolo nel circuito maggiore a Portorose nel 2008
ha gridato a gran voce: «Dedico questa
vittoria agli italiani che non credevano in
me e dicevano che non sarei mai andata da

È invece immediato l’incontro con la

the California 1400, that perfectly embodies simplicity and class of Italian two-wheel. The new California
is a turning point in the universe of the Italian house for
its ability to combine the most advanced technology to
its historical features, comfort and performance of this
unique jewel.
"The details make a motorcycle" they say from the headquarters: the new California 1400 on one hand breaks the
traditional mould, but on the other hand, at the same
time is capable of transmitting the unmistakable heritage thanks to Moto Guzzi logo carved on the aluminum
valve that covers the new V-Twin engine, without forgetting the dual
and spectacular LED rear light.
The California's lines seem to be shaped by the wind. The front light
cluster with RDL LED has a daytime lighting and is the heir of generations who wrote the story, while the brand new double-cradle frame,

l mare rappresenta da sempre per l’uomo un vero e proprio mondo a
parte, un universo oscuro, con la sua flora e la sua fauna. Le diverse
specie animali che lo popolano e le numerose piante marine che lo arricchiscono lasciano spazio a qualcosa di ancor più misterioso: i blue holes.
Letteralmente “buchi blu”, i blue holes sono cavità sommerse formatesi per
via di quel fenomeno carsico che, con la sua attività, modella il terreno generando particolari e interessanti depressioni del suolo.
Poche persone sono a conoscenza di questi luoghi. Due sono quelli più noti:
il Blue Hole e il Great Blue Hole. La prima cavità si trova sulla costa della
Penisola del Sinai e viene custodita come un prezioso gioiello dalle acque del
Mar Rosso. Un posto leggendario, di grande interesse per la subacquea, risultato di un recente terremoto: circa cinquanta metri di ampiezza per cento
metri di profondità, una depressione del terreno che suscita la curiosità dei
sommozzatori più coraggiosi.
Posto a sessanta metri dal livello del mare, il “Buco” si ricongiunge all’oceano
attraverso un tunnel che si snoda lungo la barriera corallina. Questa galleria,
nota come l’“Arco”, è molto lunga e difficile da trovare. Se da un lato tutto
ciò accresce l’interesse di molti appassionati, dall’altro rende il Blue Hole
uno dei siti di immersione più pericolosi. È infatti soprannominato “Driver’s
Cemetery” (il cimitero dei sub) in memoria di coloro che, sfidando i propri
limiti, hanno perso la vita nel tentativo di inoltrarsi nel tunnel.
La “Grande Voragine Blu” – Great Blue Hole –, invece, si trova a est delle
coste del Belize, nel Mar dei Caraibi. Questa cavità è perfettamente circolare
e con i suoi trecento metri di larghezza e circa centoventi di profondità,
è considerata una delle più interessanti. Le sue pareti sono infatti particolarmente intriganti: caratterizzate da un gran numero di stalattiti – alcune
lunghe anche dodici centimetri –, sono loro la vera attrazione di questo sito.

Literally in their meaning, the blue holes are submerged cavities formed because of the karst phenomenon that, with its
activity, shape the ground by creating special and interesting
depressions in the soil.
Few people are aware of these places. Two are the most famous: the Blue Hole and the Great Blue Hole.
The first cavity is on the coast of the Sinai Peninsula and is
guarded as a precious jewel from the waters of the Red Sea.
A legendary place, of great interest for diving, the cavity is the
result of a recent earthquake: about fifty meters wide and one
hundred meters deep, a depression in the ground that arouses
the curiosity of brave divers.
Located sixty meters from the sea level, the Hole rejoins the
ocean through a tunnel that runs along the reef. This tunnel,
known as the '"Arch", is very long and hard to find. If, on one
hand, these characteristics increase the charm of the Blue Hole
and the interest of many fans, on the other hand make it one
of the most dangerous dive sites. It is in fact known as "Diver's
Cemetery" in memory of those who, beyond their physical limits, died in the attempt to venture into the tunnel.

While the Great Blue Hole is located on the east coast of Belize
in the Caribbean Sea. This cavity is perfectly circular, with its
three hundred meters wide and about one hundred and twenty
deep, is considered one of the most interesting. Its walls are
particularly intriguing: characterized by a large number of stalactites – some of them reach even twelve centimeters long they are the real attraction of this site.

attività. Ciascuno di noi è convinto di saperlo fare meglio di
chiunque altro (ma forse non tutti abbiamo ragione). Molte
delle nostre foto restano impresse nella memoria e diventano
veri classici». Queste le parole di John Loengard, uno
dei 100 fotografi più apprezzati nel mondo, per spiegare l’idea di studio e lavoro che sta dietro Life. Non
solo un magazine, ma una finestra su ciò che accade
intorno a noi.
In mostra fino al 4 agosto presso il nuovo spazio AuditoriumExpo dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma, la mostra Life. I
grandi fotografi rende omaggio alle immagini che hanno cambiato il
modo di vedere il mondo. In collaborazione con Life e Contrasto,
la Fondazione Musica per Roma e la Fondazione FORMA per la
Fotografia propongono 150 scatti, i più belli e suggestivi pubblicati
dalla rivista negli anni e oggi raccolti in un volume realizzato dalla
casa editrice Contrasto.
Creata nel 1936 da Henry Luce, Life riceve in poco tempo un consenso unanime, tanto da passare da una pubblicazione bimestrale
a un magazine settimanale, mantenendo questo ritmo di uscita per
tutti gli anni ’70. Il successo della rivista? Si cela sicuramente dietro
il motto “Vedere la vita, vedere il mondo”, una linea di pensiero che
ha spalancato le porte del giornalismo alla fotografia. L’obiettivo di
Luce era proprio questo: dare una visione completa e tangibile dei
fatti attraverso le immagini. Il settimanale – l'ultimo numero risale al 20 aprile 2007 – ha raccontato attraverso scatti suggestivi la
storia agli americani:

world around them and pay a special attention to the people who live in it and their activities. Each of us is convinced that can do
better than anyone else (but perhaps not all
are right). Most of our photos make an impression on memory and become true classics». These are the words of John Loengard,
one of the 100 photographers most appreciated in the world, to explain the idea of
study and work behind Life. Not just a magazine, but a window on what is happening
around us.
On display until August 3rd at the new space Auditorium Expo in the Auditorium Parco
della Musica in Rome, the exhibit Life. I grandi fotografi (Life. The great photographers) pays tribute to the images that have changed the way we see the world. In
collaboration with Life and Contrasto, Musica per Roma Foundation and the Foundation FORMA for Photography, propose 150 photos, the most beautiful and evocative
proposed by the magazine over the years and now collected in a book published by
Contrasto.
Created in 1936 by Henry Luce, Life gets in a short time a great consensus, so as
to move from a bimonthly to a weekly magazine, maintaining
this rate of release for the '70s. Which is the success of the
magazine? Surely it lurks behind the motto "To see life; see the
world", a way of thinking that opened the doors of journalism
to photography. The aim of Life was just that: give a complete
and tangible view of the facts through images. The magazine
– that published its last issue on 20th april 2007 – told us the history of the Americans through striking pictures, the Great De-
pression of the 30s, the 40s, the Second
World War, the postwar period and the
Vietnam War.
Among the photographers who have
contributed to the prestige of Life Eisenstaedt, Bourke-White, Mydans, Parks, W.
Eugene Smith, Robert Capa, Morse and
McNally. Artists that "maintain the ability
to surprise. The written word quickly becomes obsolete: an old news is an oxymoron. While, the old photos continue to
draw our attention".

Quasimodo, nato a Modica, racconta
la sua Sicilia. Il poeta ci parla di una
storia che affonda le sue radici in un
mito lontano, i cui echi assumono lo
stesso ritmo, pacato e carezzevole,
delle onde che lambiscono le spiagge
di questo luogo.
Il nostro viaggio ci porta alla scoperta
dei gioielli della Sicilia Orientale, terra dai mille volti e dalle infinite sfumature,
che si affaccia sul Mar Ionio. Le città si incastonano come tante pietre preziose
lungo il territorio. I loro tesori monumentali e paesaggistici, le tradizioni, i miti,
le leggende, il folklore e la cucina spettacolare, ci parlano di un susseguirsi di
civiltà e di influenze, di una straordinaria ricchezza capace di offrire sempre
qualcosa di nuovo, emozioni uniche.
Ognuno può trovare riflessa la propria anima in questi posti che offrono innumerevoli itinerari diversi. La ricerca di un passato lontano, di una storia epica
che non smette di ammaliare, muove chi s’indirizzerà verso Taormina e i Giardini di Naxos, veri gioielli conservati nel tempo. Una forte influenza greca ha plasmato le città della Sicilia Orientale. La memoria ha lasciato tracce incancellabili
nelle superbe aree archeologiche che costellano questi luoghi.

Gli appassionati d’arte saranno rapiti dalla bellezza monumentale di Catania, Siracusa, Modica, Noto, Ragusa e
Scicli. Lo spirito fiero che aleggia in questa terra si è più
volte confrontato con i duri colpi di una natura sublime e
inclemente. Era il 1693 quando un violento terremoto devastò gran parte di questo territorio, radendo al suolo i suoi
principali centri abitati. Alla distruzione è seguita un’intensa opera di ricostruzione urbanistica, che ha fatto dello
stile tardo barocco il tratto distintivo di questa zona. Dalla
Chiesa di San Domenico – a Noto – fino ad arrivare a quelle
dedicate a San Giorgio – che si ergono a Modica e a Ragusa
Ibla –, imponenti monumenti celebrano gli antichi fasti del
clero e della nobiltà in un seducente gioco di forme concave
e convesse. La ricchezza degli scenari realizzati ha reso que-
sti luoghi dei veri e propri tesori, che hanno fatto sì che nel
2005 la parte meridionale della Sicilia Orientale – la Val di
Noto – fosse eletta dall’UNESCO patrimonio dell’umanità.
Alla magnificenza dell’arte si associa la straordinaria bellezza naturalistica che non manca di sorprendere e di affascinare. La Sicilia Orientale è infatti il luogo in cui si staglia
il rilievo più alto della regione, l’Etna, e dove si estende la
sua pianura più vasta, la Piana di Catania, un luogo in cui
le asperità sono attutite dalla dolcezza del mare. Chi ama
la natura sarà rapito dagli imponenti e maestosi paesaggi di
quest’area e dalle sue suggestive spiagge.
Ciascuno porterà nel cuore un aspetto di questa magica terra che promette a chiunque la visiti un’esperienza unica e
indimenticabile.

y land is on the rivers close to the sea, no other place has a voice so
slow, where my feet wander among heavy reeds of snails», in this way
Salvatore Quasimodo, born in Modica, describes his Sicily. The poet
tells us a story that has its roots in a distant myth, whose echoes assume the same
rhythm, quiet and gentle, of the waves brushing the beaches of this place.
Our journey takes us to discover the jewels of the Eastern Sicily, land of a thousand
faces and infinite shades, overlooking the Ionian Sea. The cities are nestled like so
many gems along the territory. Their treasures of monuments and landscapes, traditions, myths, legends, folklore and spectacular cuisine, tell us of a succession of civilizations and influences, an extraordinary prosperity that can always offer something
new, unique emotions.
Everyone can find his own soul reflected in these places that offer many different
routes. The search for a distant past, for an epic story that never ceases to enchant
those who move towards Taormina and the Naxos gardens, real gems preserved during years. A strong Greek influence
has shaped the cities of Eastern Sicily. The memory has left indelible traces in the superb archaeological sites that fill
these places.
Art lovers will be captivated by the monumental beauty of Catania, Syracuse, Modica, Noto, Ragusa and Scili. The
proud spirit that pervades this land has repeatedly competed with the hard hits of a sublime and inclement nature.
In 1693 a violent earthquake devastated a great part of this territory, razing its main populated areas. The destruction
was followed by an intense work of urban reconstruction, which has made the late Baroque style the hallmark of this
area. From the Church of St. Dominic - in Noto - until those dedicated to St. George – that rise in Modica and Ragusa
Ibla –, wonderful monuments celebrate the ancient glories of the clergy and nobility in an attractive play of concave

Visitare la Sicilia Orientale significa anche lasciarsi rapire dall’incanto dei suoi
profumi e dei suoi sapori. Da non farsi sfuggire il celebre cioccolato di Modica,

di sogni, l’amuleto indiano che teneva lontani gli incubi
dalle notti dei bambini. «Già, – continua Filippetti – ma
servono persone giuste, con la professionalità adeguata, con una
cultura fondata su esperienza, conoscenza e passione». Questa è
la storia di ogni estate: un consiglio sbagliato, un’agenzia
che chiude e il titolare che scappa con l’incasso. «La scelta – aggiunge Filippetti – è fondamentale». Forse in Italia
le agenzie sono troppe, circa 11 mila. «In Francia – spiega
Filippetti – con il nostro stesso numero di abitanti sono 4.500».
La crisi non ha risparmiato il mondo di chi vende viaggi e
vacanze: molte agenzie hanno chiuso, i tour operator faticano. A tal proposito il Presidente di Astoi ha aggiunto:
«Abbiamo avuto mesi difficili e gli italiani tardano sempre di più
con le prenotazioni». Filippetti prevede per la prossima estate un grande ritorno del Mar Rosso, con Sharm e Marsa
Alam, crescita delle Baleari, da Ibizia e Formentera e Maiorca e Minorca, ripresa della Tunisia, un po’ di flessione
in Grecia e crisi in Italia. «Sono gli italiani che non restano nel
loro Paese – afferma – e come dar loro torto se andando all’estero
risparmiano. Prendi Sharm, si va in resort con grandi buffet a
pranzo, cena e colazione già inclusi nel prezzo, se vai sulle coste
italiane devi stare attento a quanto spendi per un panino, roba
da anni ‘50».

rom its city, Pesaro, he rules the world of travelling and
holidays with the watchful eye of one who knows the world
and the human attitude. «Do you know why our profession
is difficult? Because we sell dreams and if we betray those who
trust us, we have failed our task. But for the same reasons it is also
beautiful: because we know how to make people happy». Nardo
Filippetti holds the Eden Travel and is the Astoi president, the

A real research path is presented this summer by the Center for Contemporary Culture Strozzina. Eight international artists – Vanessa

Mylayne, Isabel Rocamora, Anri Sala e Wilhelm Sasnal – interact with
the public on the concept of beauty, which rethinking shows its modernity at a time when the inner contradictions revealed by the reality
lead to the decline of the classical concept of harmony. The authors
go beyond the formal aspect to deal with the function and the value
of beauty, with the power of transformation that is capable of exercise.
The works point to the subjective view of the public, aiming to bring
out the idea that everyone has of beauty.

The Pavilion of Contemporary Art in Milan offers a first major retrospective of Canadian photographer Jeff Wall with the
exhibit Actuality, which runs until June
9th. Listed as one of the most influential
authors of the contemporary art scene,
guest of international museums, from the
MoMA in New York to the Tate Modern
in London, Jeff Wall lives and works in
Vancouver. His productions are the result
of a long studio building and he uses a
massive digital post-production, without
sacrificing the naturalness of the pictures,
many of which are inspired by key scenes
taken from great works of literature. The

classica passando per la mitologia greca, la mela può vantare
una storia di tutto rispetto. Le più famose mele sono certamente tre: la mela del peccato di Adamo ed Eva, la metà della mela di Platone e il pomo d’oro di Paride.

Una mela al giorno toglie il medico di torno? Male certo non fa, quindi
perché non affidarsi al credo popolare. È un frutto indicato per le diete
dimagranti, una mela di circa due etti contiene infatti circa 100 calorie.
Ma non solo. Che sia rossa, verde o gialla, la mela è anche consigliata
a chi ha problemi di colesterolo, pressione alta, diabete e disturbi intestinali. Non tutti sanno inoltre che la mela ha proprietà sbiancanti
e masticata a lungo al termine di un pasto pulisce i denti. Insomma le

Si preannuncia un maggio all'insegna dell'horror nei cinema italiani. Il
9 maggio esce il remake del capolavoro cult La Casa - Evil Dead di Sam
Raimi, ovviamente vietato ai minori, tanto che perfino il trailer porta il
bollino rosso. Impossibile resistere alla tentazione di andare al cinema per chi ha visto la pellicola degli anni '80 e i suoi fortunati sequel.
Questa volta Sam Raimi indossa i panni di produttore, mentre la regia
porta la firma dell'uruguaiano Fede Alvarez. La trama è avvincente: un
gruppo di amici si ritrova in una casa in mezzo ai boschi per aiutare Mia,
distrutta dalla perdita della madre e con problemi di alcolismo e droga.
Ma il male si annida in quella casa e nei boschi circostanti. Senza sapere della leggenda legata a Necronomicon, il libro dei morti, i ragazzi
lo aprono sprigionandone tutta l’energia negativa. Mia sarà posseduta
e, da quel momento, una spirale di dolore, morte e male prenderà il

In the Italian cinemas it seems to be a May marked by the horror genre.
It’s the remake of the cult masterpiece The Evil Dead of Sam Raimi,
of course suitable only for adults, so that even the trailer has the red
mark. It is impossible to resist to the temptation to watch this movie for
those who have seen the original one in the 80s and its lucky sequels.
This time Sam Raimi is the producer, while the direction is signed by
the Uruguayan Fede Alvarez. The plot is compelling: a group of friends
is in a house among the woods to help Mia, destroyed by the loss of
his mother and with alcoholism and drug abuse problems. But the evil
lurks in that house and in the surrounding woods. Without knowing the

legend associated with Necronomicon, the book of the
dead, the youth will open the book spreading the negative energy. Mia will be possessed and, from that moment, a spiral of pain, death and evil will take over. Only
one of them will survive (in the original movie was Bruce
Campbell, now working as a producer). Film designed
for true connoisseurs of the horror genre; definitely Evil
Dead is not suitable for everyone.
Out in cinemas the long-awaited film by M. Night Shyamalan's
After Earth. A thousand years after the mankind abandoned
the planet earth to live on Nova Prime, the legendary General
Cypher Raige (Will Smith) and his son Kitai, thirteen years old,
(Jaden Smith, Will's true son) crash with their spaceship on
a Class 1 planet in quarantine (Earth), where everything has
evolved to extinguish human beings.
The only way to save themselves will be to get back a light signal remained on the tail of the spaceship, located hundred kilometers from them. The wounded father will guide the child
in the difficult search of the signal. Every decision will decree
the survival or the death and fear itself will be a choice, while
the threats are real: the whole fauna of the planet will be a real
danger with which Kitai will have to deal.

Esce il 21 maggio Love Lust Faith + Dreams, il nuovo album dei
Thirty Seconds To Mars. Scritto e registrato in giro per il mondo,
il disco è molto più che un’evoluzione, è un nuovo inizio che ha
esplorato uno spazio tutto nuovo, “eccitante, inaspettato, e incredibilmente stimolante”. Non solo virtualmente. In collaborazione con la NASA, infatti, i Thirty Seconds To Mars hanno lanciato il primo singolo del nuovo album nello spazio. Letteralmente.
Lo scorso 1 marzo, la prima copia di Up In The Air è stata spedita nello spazio a bordo della missione cargo SpaceX ed è stata
trasmessa sulla Stazione Spaziale Internazionale a 230 miglia di
distanza dalla Terra. Il gruppo
ha assistito al primo passaggio del
singolo dal Centro di Controllo Missione Houston.
Altra chicca? La copertina del disco è stata creata dell’artista di
fama internazionale Damien Hirst.
Dopo 22 anni di carriera, una famiglia e moltissimi singoli di
successo, è arrivato per Nek il momento di dedicare un album a
se stesso. Un tributo alla sua carriera. è da poco uscito il nuovo
disco Filippo Neviani. Il lavoro è una raccolta di inediti che riporta sulle scene musicali il suo impegno, a distanza di quattro
anni dall'ultimo Un'altra direzione. Ci sono voluti anni di lavoro
ma, come lui stesso riporta sul suo sito ufficiale, questo album è
"il più personale che abbia mai fatto nel corso della mia carriera". Il disco è stato preceduto dal singolo Congiunzione astrale
e il videoclip del brano, diretto da Marco Salom, è stato girato
a San Francisco. Congiunzione astrale è una canzone ricca di
sentimenti e non-coincidenze che portano i due protagonisti,
per uno strano scherzo del destino, a non incrociarsi mai, se non
alla fine, per una casualità voluta dalla forza dell'amore.
L'attesissimo lavoro dei Daft Punk nei negozi dal 21 maggio, è
stato anticipato da una serie di preziosissime dichiarazioni. A
inaugurare la serie di contributi è stato Giorgio Moroder, colosso della disco e fautore dei maggiori successi di Donna Summer. Il compositore e produttore altoatesino, da anni trasferitosi a Los Angeles, offre al pubblico uno sguardo sui retroscena
della realizzazione di Random access memories, non facendo
mancare la sua opinione sull'importanza dell'ensemble electro
transalpino nella storia recente della musica dance. «Hanno
voluto fare qualcosa non limitandosi a premere i tasti dei sintetizzatori – dichiara Moroder – per produrre suoni e accordi».
Si tratta di un disco “compatto” studiato a fondo e con suoni
molto caldi di basso e batteria. Un lavoro che segna un passo
avanti nella storia della musica elettronica.
Per l’uscita del nuovo disco, il chitarrista degli Alice in Chains,
Jerry Cantrell, ha dichiarato a RollingStone.com: «The Devil Put
Dinosaurs Here è un disco completamente differente rispetto
a quanto da noi fatto in precedenza. Come ogni nostro altro
album, incapsula uno specifico lasso di tempo. Si nota una crescita e il fatto che la band si sta spostando verso nuovi territori,

Per proteggervi contro la nuova minaccia derivante dagli esplosivi liquidi, l’Unione Europea ha adottato nuove regole di sicurezza che limitano le quantità di liquidi che possono essere
introdotti nelle aree sterili. Tali regole si applicano nei confronti
tutti i passeggeri in partenza dagli aeroporti dell’Unione Europea verso qualsiasi destinazione.
Ciò significa che ai controlli di sicurezza, il passeggero e il relativo
bagaglio a mano devono essere controllati per verificare la presenza di liquidi.
Comunque, le nuove regole non limitano la quantità di liquidi che possono essere
acquistati presso gli esercizi commerciali situati oltre il punto di controllo del titolo di viaggio od a bordo di un aeromobile di compagnia appartenente all’Unione

Le nuove regole si applicano a partire da lunedì 6 novembre 2006, in tutti gli aeroporti dell’Unione Europea, in Norvegia, Islanda e Svizzera a meno di eventuali

To help you feel better when you fly with us, just follow these
tips and suggestions designed to enhance your well being on
board
Stare a lungo seduti in una stessa posizione può farvi sentire a
disagio sull’aereo. Sgranchitevi gambe e braccia ogni due ore
circa. Alzatevi di tanto in tanto e camminate su e giù per il corridoio oppure fate i semplici esercizi* di stretching illustrati per
prevenire problemi circolatori.
Prolonged sitting in a fixed position can make you feel uncomfortable in the plane. Every few hours, stretch your arms and legs
or carry out some easy exercises* suggested below.
Consumate pasti leggeri, mangiate con moderazione e limitare
bevande gassate, tè e caffè.
Eat a light meal and moderate you intake of fizzy drinks, tea and
coffee.
Bevete molta acqua naturale, meglio se in piccole quantità e
spesso.
Drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated.
Moderate il consumo di bevande alcoliche, poiché queste sono
assorbite più facilmente dal corpo ad alta quota a causa della
bassa pressione dell’aria all’interno della cabina.
Moderate your intake of alcohol.
In caso di permanenza prolungata a bordo è consigliato sostituire le lenti a contatto con degli occhiali per evitare irritazioni
oculari. Togliete sempre le lenti a contatto prima di dormire.
In case of a long flight it is recommended to wear eyeglasses
rather than contact lenses. Remove contact lenses before sleeping.

Start the exercise by sitting in comfortably in your seat in an upright position.

Corri incontro all’Estate!
Poggiate entrambi i piedi sul pavimento. Flettete i piedi puntando i talloni in su e poi in giù. Ripetete per cinque volte.
Rest both feet on the floor. Flex both feet with toes pointing
upward, then point your toes downward Perform this exercise
five times.

Sollevate dolcemente il ginocchio verso il busto per alcuni secondi, poi lasciatelo andare, poggiando nuovamente il piede
sul pavimento. Fate lo stesso con l’altra gamba. Ripetete cinque
volte per gamba.
Raise you knee gently towards the chest for a few seconds and
then release, placing your feet back on the floor. Continue with
the other leg. Repeat five times for each leg.
4.
Mettete le mani sotto una coscia e sollevatele dolcemente verso il busto. Ruotate la caviglia in modo circolare per 5 secondi.
Ripetete con l’altra gamba. Ripetete questo esercizio cinque
volte per gamba.
Place your hands under one thigh, and gently lift toward your
chest. Rotate your ankle in a circular motion for 5 seconds. Repeat with the other leg. Perform this exercise five times with
both legs.
