In questa prospettiva crea una "mitologia individuale" nella quale tutti possono riconoscersi. r o m i n a b a s s u born in 1982 in Rome, she lives and works between Rome and Seville. She studied between the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome and the Faculty of Fine Arts of Seville. In 2004 she started a collaboration as assistant for Alberto di Fabio and Cristiano Pintaldi. Some years later Romina Bassu moves to London where she began the series "I'm stressed out" which ends in Berlin with a personal show. She moved to Spain and she begins the project "Anonymous Archive", which involves the collection of photographs from the past. Through her works, the artist tries to evoke the sense of time passing on humans being deleting them and turning them into nostalgic figures. He descends from a family of Master Craftsmen with a bicentennial history in ceramic production, Nove being one of the most important centres of ceramic manufacture in Italy. After he specialised in Decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice, contemporary ceramics became his main area of research. Through the study and manipulation of moulds from the historical manufactories of his birthplace, the artist creates sculptures and conceptual installations in which tradition mixes with present and generates new scenarios. In May 2012, he was invited in Vallauris, well-known for its pottery tradition, to hold a workshop and for an artist-in-residence program where he created some works using the traditional local moulds. selected solo shows | mostre personali selezionate 2013 Metamorfose, Galerie Geneviève Godar, Lille, France Des-formes à forma, Le Fil Rouge, Roubaix, France Paolo Polloniato & Noemi Nederhauser, Puls Gallery, Bruxelles 2012 Jeux de corps, Galerie A.Gombert, Paris Made in Vallauris, Spazio Riunione Cittadina, Faenza La metamorfose de la tradition, Galleria CK'OMSA, Vallauris selected group shows | mostre collettive selezionate forthcoming 53th Castellamonte exhibition, Turin E siate candidti come colombe ed astuti come serpenti, Treviso, (cur.
