social animals – Design and Sharing” with the participation of Meet My Project by Francesco
Pirrello.

How can design gather people, stimulate discussions and change our behavior?
“Man is by nature a social animal” once said Aristoteles. Let’s show it!
STRAF for this occasion, has selected various international designers to showcase their new
projects in the common areas of the hotel (hall, event room and restaurant). These decorative
items will also be available for our clients to enjoy.
MEET MY PROJECT is an international design fair founded in 2009 by Francesco Pirrello. Its
mission is to promote contemporary design and creativity connecting professionals within the field
of: designers, producers, distributors and architects. During this year’s Fuori Salone an exhibition
of 35 international designers will be presented focusing on the concept of sharing and the social
role that design plays. The exhibition will be held at Palazzo Gorani, 6, along the itinerary of the
5 paths.

Established in 2003, the design hotel&bar STRAF, conceived by Vincenzo De Cotiis, is a non-conventional space in
the heart of Milan with a distinctive intellectual trait. It stands near the Duomo, in the center of the city, holding true
to the idea of hospitality through personalized and careful service, yet informal.
Its exceptional, yet minimalist, hi-tech functionality, the warmth and intimacy of its sourroundings, created with
unusual materials influenced by industrial furniture and Arte Povera, as well as its concepts of recycling and
experimentation, are what make it a special place.
The street bar STRAF provides live music and dj sets during its happy hour. The numerous artistic initiatives tied to
music, dance, fashion and design, which have been held here throughout the years, make the STRAFhotel&bar a
unique place in Italy as well as worldwide.
