ancient art form, and are simply
words written in such a way that
they read the same rightsideup and upside-down. Angels
& Demons features a number
of ambigrams woven into the
plot, leading Robert Langdon on
the Path to Illumination. They
were designed by typographer
John Langdon, who was part
of Dan Brown’s inspiration for
the protagonist in both The Da
