Bonastre is a Parisian contemporary brand of sumptuous vegetable leather bags and accessories for Women and Men. This environmental-friendly collection has been exclusively handcrafted with the most natural and non-treated cattle hides according to ancient vegetable process based on oak bark and olive oil finishing (versus the commonly used but highly contaminating chromium tanning). The wonder of the handmade and know-how of a Spanish manufacture, the creative contemporary reinterpretation of traditions, the uniqueness of each item and a desire for things that will last – these are the brand’s main inspiration, not to forget the aesthetics of the object. Therefore Bonastre’s bag is radical in its purity, voluptuous in its effects and nonchalant in its looks to finally go straight to its essential role. [email protected] www.filippocatarzi.com Point Mp De Bernardis & Co Maurizio Catarzi Filippo Catarzi Srl began in 1910 when Olderigo Catarzi opened a small artisan’s workshop inside his home with the intention of working with the straw found in the hills surrounding Signa to make bags from weaved vegetable fibers that would then be put together with hats of straw, felt, and wool. The entirely artisanal production, the guarantee of uniqueness, the constant research into style and materials, the importance of the production process, which respects traditional techniques, are the fundamental and successful guidelines of Catarzi’s professionalism, which characterizes all of its products. Thanks to these elements, to celebrate the one-hundredth anniversary of the company, the brand Catarzi 1910 was created and is geared toward a demanding target audience that can appreciate the special alchemy resulting from sartorial know-how and creative forces, which together form fashion creations with incredible style and craftsmanship. Cristina Miraldi Francesca Liberatore email website tel mail website [email protected] www.cristinamiraldi.com +39029231915 Cristina Miraldi was born in Milan in 1983 and her approach to fashion was definitely natural. In fact she grew up in an embroidery workshop, where - as a child - she used to play with sequins and hide under the machinery. Then she devoted to other interests, enriching her cultural and above all artistic background, which allowed her to develop over time a personal taste of her own. She loves to travel as well as to get in touch with and appreciate other cultures, while remaining firmly attached to her roots and directing her studies and knowledge towards them. She also succeeded in conceiving fashion as art. That is why she threw herself into it by getting a diploma in Fashion Design. While continuing her studies, she started a project almost for fun which would only take shape afterwards, when she found herself in contact with the world of work. Once she got her diploma, she started cooperating with internationally renowned companies, where she had the opportunity to investigate and specialize in what she had already believed in. 48 Laureata al Fashion Womanswear al Central Saint Martins di Londra, Francesca, classe '83, nel 2009 vince il concorso Next Generation promosso dalla CNMI con la sua prima collezione individuale. Her dream came true! [email protected] www.leit-motiv.com +390516447254 Leitmotiv develops from the partnership of two creative minds: Juan Caro and Fabio Sasso. Juan comes from Bogotá (Colombia) and moved to Europe to study arts, first in Paris and then in Bologna, Italy; Fabio was born in Milan and graduated in Arts from DAMS at Bologna University. Fabio’s hobby for the tailor profession rooted in his childhood and family labs. Leitmotiv is an artistic project speaking a new and unusual language and evoking reality and theatre pièce; it’s a project inspired by (remote and) far places and by the most elegant outfits and life styles captured in every century and time. Their mission is to create something always original and up to date; their style is made of references to the world of art and fashion, to the tailor skills and craftsmanship. The idea is to design artistic clothing combining art and fashion, future and past, tailor skills and ‘haute couture’, masculinity and femininity 51 SMARTEEZ è una collezione prodotta da Plissé, azienda di rilievo nel panorama industriale contemporaneo del settore moda. Marta Forghieri Mauro Gasperi email website email website tel [email protected] www.martaforghieri.com SMARTEEZ is a collection by Plisse', a prominent company in the modern world of fashion industry. From the encounter between Morena, head designer and founder of Plisse', and Marta, a young designer whose education ranges from art to literature but with a strong passion for handicrafts, who loves experimenting with concepts and paradoxes, a new concept is born, merging the idea and the will to come up with a new proposal able to combine innovation with market needs. This combination generates an interest for prestigious clothes that can be nevertheless easily industrialised and for fabrics which are innovative and refined. The love of opposites results in the idea of a glamorous and romantic look which aligns elements of casual wear and chic wear in transversal harmonic combinations. Studia all'istituto internazionale della moda "Polimoda". [email protected] www.maurogasperi.com +390303582999 The graphical and architectural mark is part of Mauro Gasperi’s style and mood of his women collections. Born in Brescia, since as a child he is influenced by the contemporary architecture, such as of Fuksas. He specializes in fashion design and knitwear in Florence at the International Fashion "Polimoda". In 2008, together with the opening of the first flagship store in Brescia, he decides to open his own clothing line because of his desire to communicate through his geometrical details his woman and his concept of femininity: a renewed, cosmopolitan and urban one, with a casual, free and contemporary spirit. Made In Italy in production and in the tissues the collection Mauro Gasperi, in particular for the fluid part of knitwear, is appreciated by Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana which in 2009 selects him, between other winners, for the competition Fashion Incubator. In a scene of clean cuts and essential, immediate constructions and intentional contrast both in materials and colors, today the brand is well known as a high quality total look distributed in several stores in Italy and abroad. He confirms his ability to "sculpt" and create shapes and silhouettes on new materials and a easy-to-wear collection for a fashionable woman who takes attention on details of style.
