AIR SAFE is a device that allows breathing under snow in the case
of a burial avalanche.
AIR SAFE protects the airway from possible obstructions.
AIR SAFE exploits the air present in the snow (up to 60% of the volume),
taking it at the front of the body and expelling it in the dorsal part,
thus avoiding the saturation of CO2, and increasing the survival time.
Arising out of the collaboration with the Mountain Medicine Clinic of Aosta
Hospital and the SNATE (Italian School of Alpine Rescue Technicians).
AIR SAFE has the following advantages,
compared with exsisting models on the market:

AIR SAFE agisce nell'immediato preservando le vie aeree da possibili
ostruzioni nel corso del travolgimento da valanga e, successivamente,
evitando che l'utente possa respirare aria satura di anidride carbonica
con conseguente asfissia.
Attraverso il boccaglio anatomico l'aria inspirata dalla parte anteriore del
corpo viene poi espulsa nella parte dorsale.
Proprio grazie a questa gestione intelligente dell'aria presente nella neve
(fino al 60% del volume della neve è aria), AIR SAFE permette al travolto
di poter continuare a respirare in attesa di soccorso, aumentando le
probabilità di sopravvivenza.
AIR SAFE acts immediately to preserve the airways from possible
blockage during the avalache and then it prevents the user from
breathing in air that is saturated with carbon dioxide and suffocating
as a result.
Through the anatomical mouthpiece, the air breathed in from the front of
the body is then expellend to the back.
And it is thanks to this intelligent management of the air present in the
snow, AIR SAFE allows a person to continue to breathe while awaiting
rescue, increasing the probability of survival.

L'estrema leggerezza e precisione delle sfere garantiscono una commutazione
rapida ed efficace che rende agevole e naturale la respirazione.
Grazie al movimento dell'utente nel corso dell'attività alpinistica, le sfere
delle valvole rimangono in movimento anche quando AIR SAFE non è
utilizzato e questo aspetto, appositamente studiato insieme al contatto
ridotto con le pareti del corpo sfere, evita il congelamento fino a
temperature testate di -40°C.

ANTI-FREEZE BALL VALVE
The valves are made using low-density plastic balls weighing about 1 gram.
The extreme light weight and precision of the balls guarantee fast, effective
switchovers and make breathing easy and natural.
Thanks to the user's movement, the balls in the valves keep moving, even
when the AIR SAFE is not in use and this feature, which has been especially
developed together with reduced ball body contact with the sides, prevents
freezing up to the tested temperatures of -40°C.

ANATOMICAL MOUTHPIECE
The anatomical mouthpiece in silicone makes it possible to use the AIR SAFE
device safely: thanks to its special shape, it can be gripped tightly between
the teeth, drastically cutting the risk that it can slip out during an avalanche.
The soft silicone used allows the teeth to grip the mouthpiece without damage.

FAST ADJUST
Nuovo sistema di bloccaggio per bastoni telescopici, con meccanismo esterno a leva. Si differenzia da quelli già presenti sul mercato per il
semplicissimo sistema di regolazione che può essere azionato manualmente, senza ausilio di cacciavite o altri attrezzi. Il cuore del sistema è
una rotella a stella che sporge leggermente dal corpo del meccanismo e permette di regolare l’ottimale serraggio della leva. Grazie a questo
semplicissimo accorgimento, il sistema è estremamente facile da utilizzare: in qualsiasi momento ed in ogni condizione (anche con i guanti
indossati) è possibile intervenire sulla forza di serraggio. Il sistema è stato sottoposto a severi test nel laboratorio di controllo qualità aziendale ed
ha superato abbondantemente i valori di tenuta richiesti dal TÜV.
The new locking system for telescopic poles, with external lever mechanism. This device differs from those already on the market for the simple
regulation system that can be operated manually, without screwdriver or other tools. The heart of the system is a star shaped wheel1which sicks
slightly out of the mechanism body and allows to adjust the optimum fastening of the lever. Through this simple expedient, the system is extremely
easy to use: at any time in any condition (even with gloves on) you can set the clamping force. The system was subjected to severe tests in the
laboratory of company quality control dept. and has far exceeded the required values held by TÜV.
