rplast, uno dei principali operatori del settore
packaging a livello europeo, è un’azienda italiana
integrata verticalmente (dalla produzione di film in
polipropilene biorientato, alla stampa delle etichette
e dei nastri adesivi) da anni fornitore di fiducia dello
storico marchio Tassoni.
Per l’ultima nata in casa Tassoni, la Tonica Superfine - che
si contraddistingue nel packaging per la caratteristica
bottiglia in vetro ad effetto “corrugato” - Irplast ha
previsto l’applicazione delle etichette Label Tape Shrink,
termoretraibili preadesivizzate in bobina, senza supporto
siliconato. Grazie all’elevata termoretrazione l’etichetta
(l’etichettatrice Adhesleeve è di PE Labellers, partner di
Irplast in numerosi progetti) aderisce perfettamente alla
bottiglia: in questo modo rimane evidente la caratteristica
lavorazione della bottiglia che altrimenti andrebbe persa
con l’applicazione di una etichetta tradizionale. Infatti
la retrazione è talmente perfetta che la bottiglia della
tonica Tassoni mantiene al tatto la “rugosità” anche
nella zona di applicazione dell’etichetta. La particolare
trasparenza della label, inoltre, aiuta ad avere un effetto
“no-label look” di forte appeal. La facilità di rimozione
dell’etichetta, e l’assenza di residui di colla sulla bottiglia
facilitano un’ottima riciclabilità dei materiali.
Le Label Tape Shrink di Irplast sono ideali per sistemi e
soluzioni di imballaggio per bevande, liquidi alimentari
e detergenti, per applicazioni wrap-around (etichette
rollfed). Economicità di gestione, alta produttività
di applicazione, rispetto ambientale e sostenibilità,
aspetti questi ultimi determinati dall’eliminazione della
stazione colla a caldo nel processo di etichettatura (che
consente un importante risparmio di colla ed energia)
e dalla riduzione dei fumi e dei fermi per pulizia. Inoltre,
tutte le miscele di adesivi vengono sviluppate secondo

rigidi criteri di eco-sostenibilità. La tecnologia di
etichettatura preadesivizzata “linerless” si pone anche
come valida alternativa all’impiego di shrink sleeve sui
contenitori la cui forma richiede un grado medio-basso
di termo retrazione. Infatti gli adesivi sono pienamente
compatibili con il processo di termo retrazione dei film
plastici e garantiscono la giusta tenacia.
In fase di produzione delle etichette Label Tape Shrink
l’adesivo è personalizzato e specifico per ogni necessità
applicativa, per bottiglie standard in PET, per quelle in
HDPE con superficie ruvida e per bottiglie in vetro (liscio
e lavorato, come nel caso della Tonica Tassoni). La
superficie adesiva è settoriale a registro. L’applicazione
dell’adesivo in fase di produzione dell’etichetta si traduce
nella possibilità di ottimizzare le quantità dello stesso in
funzione dello specifico processo produttivo. Irplast sarà

rplast, one of the major players in the European
packaging sector, is a vertically integrated Italian
company (from bi-oriented polypropylene film
production, to label and adhesive tape printing), and
for some years it has been a trusted partner of the
historic soft-drink brand Tassoni.
Irplast has agreed to apply pre-glued, heat- shrinkable
& roll fed Label Tape Shrink labels without silicon
backing liner, for Tassoni’s latest product, Tonica
Superfine, whose packaging stands out for its classic
corrugated glass bottle.

Thanks to the high shrink capability, the label (applied
on the Adhesleeve labeler of PE Labellers, a longtime
industrial partner of Irplast), perfectly adheres to the
bottle: this way, the traditional bottle glass can be fully
seen without any label to hide it. In fact, the shrinkage
achieved is so flawless that even the bottle area
of Tassoni tonic water where the label is applied is
“rough” to the touch.
The particular transparency offered by the label also
gives a sort of “no-label look” of strong appeal to
consumers. The materials can also be easily recycled
thanks to easy removal of the label and zero glue
residue on the bottle.
Irplast Label Tape Shrink is ideal for packaging
systems and solutions for beverages, edible liquids
and detergents, and as an alternative for wraparound applications (roll-fed labels). Cost- efficiency,
high speed application, respect for the environment
and sustainability, are the features deriving from the
elimination of the hot- glue station from the labelling
process (which enables significant glue and energy
savings), not to speak of the reductions in factoryfumes and stoppages for cleaning. In addition to this,
adhesive mixes are also developed according to strict
eco-sustainable criteria. “Linerless” pre-glued labelling
technology is also a sound alternative to the use of
shrink sleeves on containers whose shapes require
low to medium shrinkage. In fact, the adhesives used
are fully compatible with the heat shrink process of
plastic films and help to achieve the perfect firm feel
on the bottle.
Label Tape Shrink labels have adhesives which are
customized to application requirements, for PET
standard bottles, HDPE bottles of rough surface and
glass bottles (smooth and elaborated, as it is the
case of Tonica Tassoni). The adhesives are applied to
register during the label production process, with the
unique possibility to optimize the quantity of glue used
for the specific final product.
