Job Description:
Manage the development and implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs,
acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and
quality.
Give proposals for project strategies, planning, definition of tasks and deliverables, review of project
deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management, status reports, problem reporting and
management systems, follow up and organisation.
Guide the team in charge of project activities and review their deliverables.
Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings.
Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed
terms of reference.
Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and track activities against the plan, provide regular and

Monitor costs, timescales and resources used, and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
Ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria.
Manage the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project sponsors.

department, we require a: Customer Solutions Engineer (1,0 FTE) POSITION DESCRIPTION: You are responsible for
the mechanical design of propulsors based on customer specifications, within lead time and cost estimation. The
product portfolio mainly consists of Steerable Thrusters, Transverse Thrusters, Controllable Pitch Propellers, Fixed
Pitch Propellers and Water Jets. Mechanical engineering can be conducted for modifications, conversions, repairs,
maintenance, studies or consultancy on both Wartsila and other OEM equipment. The working environment is very
internationally orientated. Engineering departments, production locations, Wärtsilä offices and suppliers can be found
all over the world. Many different nationalities, languages and cultures are involved. Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES: Designing customer solutions. Providing technical customer documentation, commissioning
documentation, protocol for factory acceptance test (FAT), etc. Performing Finit Element Calculations required to
evaluate strength, natural frequencies and fatigue analysis of propeller hubs, propeller blades and nozzles. Performing
lateral whirling and alignment calculations. Arrange classification approval of the design. Support other departments;
for instance Project Management, Purchasing, Workshop, Sales Support, Technical Support and Field Service. Inform
Project Management on progress of projects and any potential design problems. Contribute to improvement of design
methodologies, processes, products and in some cases perform R&D tasks. Requirements: Bachelor degree in Naval
Architecture or Mechanical Engineering. Affinity with or knowledge of Ship Building and/or Propulsion is preferred.
Experience with the MS Office, Siemens NX and Ansys Knowledge and experience of hydraulic systems is an

engineer in strength with a passion for structural mechanics and finite elements. In the group Dynamics & Strength
Analysis of bus chassis development, we are working with the numerical analysis of vehicle dynamic characteristics
and strength of complete buses and bus chassis. The Job As simulation engineer in strength on bus chassis
development, you will be faced with questions like: Will this hold? Which load cases will be the design? How should I
model this? How should I evaluate the results? Can you make this design easier while reducing the risk of fractures?
To answer these questions, you will do strength assessments in consultation with designers and you will perform the
calculations for strength and longevity. We use software such as Hyper Mesh, Abaqus and Femfat. An important part
of the job is to work with other departments in Scania and externally with suppliers. Your profile We are looking for
someone who has a keen interest in strength calculation and product development. You have an MSc / PhD in
Engineering and have like a few years of experience in simulation, preferably in the automotive industry. You like that
in an educational way explain why a structure behaves as it does and you like to cooperate others to create a better

Description of Company: E-18 Truckcenter is Norway`s largest multibrand Truck-centre. We have recently finished
building our new Centre, and our large new-truck sales-dept. Cater for qualitybrands as DAF, MAN, IVECO and Fiat
commercials. We also sell trailers and builds/build-ups. In our workshop we offer everything from regular
maintenance, service and more on heavy vehicles and comm. vans. We are able to offer the drivers on-site coffee,
exercise, shower, rest, access to Wi-fi, or a nice meal and a bed while the truck get repaired. We are situated at
Heistad, Porsgrunn in Telemark County. Heistad is a small community outside Porsgrunn city with a few shops, school
and short distance to the sea and nice areas for leisure. Heistad is situated right in middle between Osl and
Kristiansand with short ditance to Torp Airport, Sandefjord (40.min by car) and ferry-connections Larvik-Hirtshals DK
(25 min by car) and Sanderfjord-Strømstad S (40 min in car) and Olso an Kristiansand.We have large focus on our
employees and offer good salaries, cantine, excersise room and a social profile. We can assist in search for places to
live for employees and we are self-catered for temporary accomodations for shorter periods.
