In 2004, the Politecnico di Milano and the Politecnico di Torino
founded the Alta Scuola Politecnica (ASP), a school focusing on
multidisciplinarity and innovation.
Since then, twelve cycles of ASP studies have been activated.

The Graduation Ceremony of the students of the 10th cycle
- class 2013 - is an opportunity not only to celebrate those who
have successfully completed a demanding and intense path, but
also to reflect about the unique features of the ASP programme,
that joins the robustness of deep vertical education - provided in
the Laurea Magistrale courses of Politecnico di Milano and
Politecnico di Torino - with the richness and openness of a
horizontal interdisciplinary program - offered by ASP.
ALTA SCUOLA POLITECNICA
Alta Scuola Politecnica (ASP) is a school for young and exceptionally talented students, with a passion for innovation, who wish
to develop their potential in a multidisciplinary community. ASP
selects 150 students per year, among the top 5% applicants to
the Laurea Magistrale courses in Engineering, Architecture and
Design at Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi) and Politecnico di Torino
(PoliTo).
The ASP programme runs parallel to the Laurea Magistrale
courses of the two institutions. ASP students attend additional
courses that allow them to achieve interdisciplinary expertise and
create links among different disciplinary backgrounds.
They work on multidisciplinary projects, developed in small teams
of students with academic tutors and in collaboration with companies or public institutions. ASP official language is English.
Students obtain full financial support for their participation in the
ASP activities and in the Laurea Magistrale courses. Students
who successfully complete the ASP programme receive the ASP
Diploma and a double Laurea Magistrale Degree from both
PoliMi and PoliTo.
