HISTORY
Tutto ha inizio dall’entusiasmo e dall’intraprendenza di un giovane
artigiano, Angelo Schiavon. Nel 1944, all’età di tredici anni, inizia
l’apprendistato presso battitori di rame e argentieri, e si appassiona
talmente all’argento e alla sua lavorazione da decidere di dedicarsi
interamente alla manifattura di questo straordinario metallo.
Personalità eclettica e creativa, pieno di volontà e determinazione - come
sapevano bene i suoi colleghi di lavoro, che non riuscivano mai a finire
un lavoro prima e meglio di lui - Angelo Schiavon decide così, nel 1957,
di avviare la propria attività di argentiere in un piccolo garage nel centro
di Treviso, vicino a Venezia. Nel 1975 Schiavon opera la svolta decisiva,
decidendo di riservare da quel momento tutta la sua produzione
unicamente al dettaglio qualificato e garantendo una distribuzione
attenta e selezionata nei migliori negozi d’Italia e all’estero.
Lo stabilimento ha raggiunto ora la dimensione di 10.000 metri quadri,
ed è edificato su un terreno di 20.000 metri quadri. Al suo interno viene
realizzata l’intera produzione Schiavon, grazie alle numerose maestranze
specializzate che continuano a garantire quel saper fare tipicamente
artigiano, vera forza del marchio.
Angelo Schiavon è affiancato dai suoi due figli nella gestione dell’azienda,
orgoglioso del proprio passato e sempre proiettato verso nuovi stimoli e
ambiziosi traguardi futuri.

Each individual object created by Schiavon
exemplifies beauty, fine taste and
authenticity resulting from precision
workmanship, of which a major part is
carried out by hand.
It all started with the initiative and enthusiasm of a young artisan by the
name of Angelo Schiavon who, in 1944 at the age of thirteen, began his
apprenticeship with silversmiths and artisans specialized in copper
hammering. Such was his passion for silversmithing as to decide to
dedicate himself totally to the creation of objects made of silver.
In 1957 he set up his own silversmith’s workshop in a small storeroom
located in the town of Treviso, not far from Venice; in 1975, Schiavon
took a decisive step and decided to reserve, from then onwards, all its
production exclusively to qualified retailers, guaranteeing a strictly
selective distribution of its products to upscale shops in Italy and abroad.
At present, the plant covers an area of 10.000 square metres over a land
measuring 20.000 square metres. The entire Schiavon production is
created inside the plant thanks to the great number of highly specialized
employees who continue to guarantee a typically artisan approach and
expertise, which is in fact the authentic strength behind the Schiavon
brand name. Angelo Schiavon’s son and daughter now work alongside
him in the company management, justly proud of the achievements of
the past and increasingly focused on new challenges for the future.

steel, are joined to the silver handle solely with

CUTLERY
The Décor Plated cutlery sets are proposed in a
great variety of styles with a complete catalogue
that provides the ultimate in quality. All the
pieces are harmoniously designed, and therefore
feel comfortable in your hand and are easy to
use. The blades of the knives are made from
stainless steel and are joined to the handles with
certified eco-friendly food industry resins.
Every individual piece is created with a superior,
highly-resistant silver plating which makes it
suitable for frequent use; average thickness of
silver: 30 microns.

Design Mix is a collection of objects that combines the artistic flair of the designer Giulio
Cappellini and the production fineness of Argenteria Schiavon. In this collection Giulio
Cappellini translates his design capability into innovative, refined forms resulting in silverplated bowls, cantle-holders, stemmed dishes, glasses and mini items. Schiavon creates these
items with inventive artisan techniques consolidated by the company over the years. The
highly prized wood and lacquer finishes greatly highlight the brilliance of the silver plated.

L’argento allo stato puro è un materiale di colore
bianco e lucente, e grazie alle sue straordinarie
proprietà di atossicità e antibattericità, è il metallo
più adatto ad entrare in contatto con cibo e
bevande, anche perché non ne altera minimamente sapore ed odore.
I titoli legali vigenti in Italia per l’argenteria sono:
800 - 800 parti di argento e 200 parti di rame
925 - 925 parti di argento e 75 parti di rame
Ogni oggetto d’argento, oltre al titolo, deve
presentare un marchio recante una stella a cinque
punte, il numero di matricola del fabbricante e la
sigla della provincia di appartenenza.
Ogni singolo pezzo, dopo essere stato verificato da
personale responsabile della qualità totale, viene
punzonato con i seguenti marchi depositati:

CONFEZIONAMENTO
Ogni oggetto è corredato dalla garanzia Schiavon ed inserito nel packaging
Schiavon, che comprende, per gli accessori di posateria, un panno
antiossidante contenente l’accessorio ed un’elegante scatolina, mentre gli
articoli di argenteria sono confezionati con velina bianca, in un elegante
sacchetto protettivo all’interno di una resistente scatola. Schiavon offre ai suoi
clienti la possibilità di avere per ciascun oggetto la “confezione-regalo”, nella
quale vengono utilizzati la carta da regalo, il nastro e l’etichetta Schiavon.
Sono inoltre disponibili shopping bag in tre diverse misure.
I morbidi e raffinati panni antiossidanti marchiati Schiavon, disponibili a
contenere set di posateria per 6 e 12 persone, sono una garanzia di
antiossidazione e perfetta conservazione.
Per numerosi articoli di posateria sono inoltre previste delle raffinate
confezioni-regalo.
Schiavon propone delle eleganti e funzionali scatole in legno, rivestite di
morbida ecopelle color beige e adatte a preservare, grazie al rivestimento
interno in tessuto speciale, la normale ossidazione dell’argento; sono disponibili
nelle misure standard per servizi da 6 persone (30 pz) e da 12 persone (89
pz), ma a richiesta si realizzano scatole per qualsiasi composizione.
PACKAGING
Each item comes with the Schiavon guarantee and wrapped with Schiavon
packaging. Every cutlery accessory is wrapped with an anti-oxidizing cloth
and placed inside a stylish box. Silver objects instead are first wrapped in
white tissue paper then placed in an elegant bag and lastly inside a box.
Moreover, each item can be gift packed with Schiavon’s gift paper, ribbon
and label. Shopping bags in three different sizes are available.
Soft, elegant and anti-oxidizing cloth rolls for cutlery sets with 6 and 12
place settings, which are specially treated to prevent the silver from
tarnishing (normal oxidation).
Many gift items in elegant boxes are available.
Elegant and functional wooden chests upholstered in soft, beige coloured
eco-leather and lined inside with a special fabric that prevents the silver
from tarnishing (normal oxidation). The chests come in two sizes - for 6
