un appuntamento
con i corti di giovani autori

dedicated to short movies
by young film makers
Da Brigitte Bardot a Claudia Cardinale, da Capucine
a Sofia Loren, e poi Clark Gable, Henry Fonda, Gina
Lollobrigida, Vittorio Gassman, Christian De Sica, fino
ad arrivare al grande Alberto Sordi che girò Il conte Max.
Film di guerra e storie d’amore, commedie all’italiana
e thriller. Il grande Vittorio De Sica ci girò Gli amanti
con Marcello Mastroianni e Faye Dunaway. Ma come non
ricordare The Pink Panther con Peter Sellers, Roger Moore
nell’inseguimento mozzafiato come 007 ne For your eyes
only e le tanto amate serie di Vacanze di Natale dei fratelli
Vanzina, che hanno raccontato gli indimenticabili anni
’80. E ancora Silvester Stallone che nei panni di una
guida alpina ha girato Cliffhanger. Ma questi sono solo
alcuni dei tanti fra attori e film accolti dalla Perla delle
Dolomiti. Oggi vivere il cinema a Cortina è una realtà. Da
quattro anni infatti Cortinametraggio chiude la stagione
delle manifestazioni invernali. “Vorrei creare un punto
di incontro per la gente del posto e per il turista, vedere
tornare interesse per il cinema a Cortina e vorrei che le
persone venissero a Cortina per conoscere professionisti
di questo settore, per creare commistioni …insomma
vorrei vedere questo mio figlio crescere forte e in salute”.
Con queste parole Maddalena Mayneri, organizzatrice
del festival Cortinametraggio, ci esprime quella passione
e quella tenacia necessarie per raggiungere un obiettivo.
La scorsa edizione a marzo è stata una kermesse tra
cinema e commedia, con proiezioni, incontri, mostre
e qualche curiosità vintage. “Stiamo cercando di far
nascere una collaborazione con Cinecittà Luce, ovvero
una prova di montaggio per giovani cineasti con le
immagini di Cortina d’Ampezzo negli anni d’oro, una
specie di Dolce Vita ampezzana che diventi una serie di
cortometraggi. Vogliamo inoltre riuscire a dare spazio
al cinema in simbiosi con la letteratura, due forme di

place for lovers by the great Vittorio De Sica was shot there,

eyes only, and the very loved Italian comedy film Vacanze
di Natale by the Vanzina brothers about the unforgettable
80’s. And then Cliffhanger, starring Sylvester Stallone as an
alpine guide. But these are just some examples of the many
actors and movies that have animated the “Pearl of the
Dolomites”. Today, Cortina offers an immersive experience
in cinema. Since four year, indeed, Cortinametraggio
concludes the Winter events program in Cortina. “I wish
it would become a gathering point both for Cortina’s
inhabitants and tourists, and I wish that people here would
show interest in cinema once more and that people would
come to Cortina to get to know professionals in this sector,
to invest in amalgamation projects here..I have gliven life to
it, and I would like to see it grow safe and sound”. With these
words Maddalena Mayneri, responsible for the organization
of the Cortinametraggio festival, expresses that passion and
resolution needed to reach a specific goal. The last March
edition saw many events related to cinema and comedies:
movie showing, meetings, exhibitions and some unique
vintage films. “We are trying to give life to a collaboration
with Cinecittà Luce, a sort of cutting project dedicated to
young film makers with images from the Golden Times of
Cortina, the ‘sweet life’ of Cortina d’Ampezzo turned in
a series of short films. We also want to leave room for a
symbiotic relationship between cinema and literature, two
