Damon Kyle Wayans, Jr. (born November 18, 1982) is an American actor, writer and stand-up comedian. He is the
oldest son of actor-comedian Damon Wayans.[2] Wayans currently stars as Brad Williams on the ABC comedy series
Happy Endings.
Early life
Wayans is the son of Lisa Thorner and actor Damon Wayans. He is the eldest of four children: Michael Wayans,
[3]
Cara Mia Wayans and Kyla Wayans.
Career
Wayans made his film debut when he was cast in his father's 1994 feature film Blankman playing Young Kevin. He
later appeared on his father's sitcom My Wife and Kids as John, one of Junior's friends. He later worked as a staff
writer on the series. In fact, the character of Junior was loosely based on Wayans Jr. himself. He appeared in and
served as a writer on The Underground. Wayans, Jr. also surprised audiences when he garnered a standing ovation
during his debut appearance on Def Comedy Jam. He starred in the Wayans comedy Dance Flick as the film's main
character, Thomas.
Wayans currently stars alongside Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Casey Wilson, Adam Pally and Eliza Coupe in
the ABC comedy series Happy Endings. The show is currently in its second season, which began airing on
September 28, 2011.
On May 16th 2011, the Fox Network announced that it had picked up the Zooey Deschanel anchored comedy New
Girl, which featured Wayans in the supporting role of Coach. However, Happy Endings had already been picked up
[4]
for a second season on rival network ABC. The producers of New Girl initially planned to recast Wayans' role, but
later decided not to recast nor reshoot the pilot episode in which he appeared. Instead, starting with the second
episode and possibly for the remainder of the series, Wayans' character will be substituted with Lamorne Morris[5] ,
playing the role of Winston, a former roommate who had been pursuing a career out of the country.

Blankman is a 1994 superhero parody film starring Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier, who are both of In Living
Color fame. The film was directed by Mike Binder and written by Damon Wayans and J. F. Lawton, whose biggest
success was writing Pretty Woman.
Plot
Darryl Walker (Damon Wayans) is a clumsy nerdy appliance repairman, who is gifted and a genius. Blessed with a
pure heart, Darryl has an optimstic Pollyannish personality. He is childishly naive to the realities of living in an inner
city neighborhood that is gradually decaying. The area suffers from political corruption and the police are on strike. It
takes the murder of his grandmother, an avid supporter of Alderman Marvin Harris' anti corruption campaign for
Mayor, by members of mobster Michael Minelli to awaken him to the realities of his city's urban decay.
He expresses his frustrations by intervening in a situation and boldly saving an elderly transit passenger from being
mugged, and by ranting about the general corruptible state that the city has become. Darryl was so pure and shielded
from reality presumably because of his interest in inventing, that he does not even realize that there is a "crackhouse
in front of our flat". He tries to storm into it unarmed and rebuke the gang members, oblivious to the hazardous
stupidity of doing so.
Awareness to the city's issues inspires Darryl to become Blankman. He uses his technical expertise to create
weapons and gadgets. His brother Kevin, a tabloid news cameraman, goes along with this fantasy believing that it's
