THE GOLDEN SMP SADDLES AT PAN-AMERICAN OF MOUNTAIN BIKE
The SMP Saddles have added to their collection the title of Pan-American and
have symbolically rewarded with the medals of esteemed metal, the title that
arrived from the Games disputed at Santiago del Cile where the SouthAmerican bikers of Info Tre-Lee Cougan team from Brescia were engaged. The
golden medal has been conquered by Argentinean Catriel Soto among Under
23 as well as the bronze in the dispatch rider. The work has been completed by
the silver medal of Holman Villaraga for the dispatch rider and the bronze one
of Abril during the debut among the Under 23.
Soto has been the surprise of the day, such as the last year. Argentina pointed
for Dario Gasco, then it happened only the bronze medal and at least Soto
revealed himself a fabulous biker with great hope for the European season and
the World Cup as well. It was also a good time for Villaraga that hung back due
to his fall when fighting for the medals and finally he got the sixth place.
There was also the bronze medal for the championess Laura Abril among the
Under 23. The Columbian biker that hasn’t regained her top conditions yet, she
showed all her class anyway and also in Chile left her mark gaining the
podium place.
Two medals have arrived from the dispatch ride. Viallaraga have conquered
the silver one in Columbia and Soto has guided Argentina towards the bronze
one.
THE ROAD – The SMP Saddles turn out to be successful also among the
professionals. After too many occasions wasted, there arrived the great day
also for l’Amore&Vita McDonald’s. Moreover, it happened during one of the
most experienced by the Fanini family races since ever. The Ukrainian Yury Metlushenko has managed to trigger al his
power at the goal of Finale Ligure, winning the last but one stage of the Settimana Coppi&Bartali. The sprinter from East
has arrived before Danilo Napolitano and the ex champion of Under 23, Francesco Chicchi
SELLE SMP D’ORO AI PANAMERICANI DI MOUNTAIN BIKE
Nella sua prestigiosa bacheca Selle SMP ha aggiunto un titolo Panamericano
ed ha simbolicamente messo al collo altre tre medaglie di metallo pregiato
arrivata dai Giochi disputati a Santiago del Cile dov’erano impegnati i biker
sudamericani dl team bresciano InfoTre-Lee Cougan. L’oro lo ha conquistato
tra gli Under 23 l’argentino Catriel Soto, anche bronzo nella staffetta. Hanno
completano l'

argento di Holman Villaraga nella staffetta e il bronzo della
Abril all'
esordio tra le Under 23.
Soto, quarto lo scorso anno, è stato la sorpresa di giornata. L’Argentina
puntava su Dario Gasco, poi solo bronzo ed alla distanza è uscito un Soto
favoloso che fa ben sperare per la stagione europea e la World Cup. Bene
anche Villaraga, attardato da una caduta quando era in lotta per le medaglie e
poi finito 6° posto.
Medaglia di bronzo per l’iridata Laura Abril all’esordio tra le Under 23. La
colombiana non ancora al top della condizione ha comunque messo in campo
tutta la sua classe e anche in Cile ha lasciato il segno salendo sul podio.
Due medaglie sono arrivate della staffetta. Villaraga ha conquistato l’argento
con la Colombia, mentre Soto ha guidato l’Argentina al bronzo.
STRADA - Anche tra i professionisti Selle SMP è risultata vincente. Dopo
qualche occasione di troppo sprecata, è arrivato il grande giorno anche per
l’Amore&Vita McDonald’s. Per lo più in una delle gare da sempre più sentite
dalla famiglia Fanini. L'
ucraino Yury Metlushenko è riuscito ad innescare tutta
la sua potenza sul traguardo di Finale Ligure aggiudicandosi la penultima tappa
della Settimana Coppi& Bartali. Lo sprinter dell’Est si è imposto su Danilo
Napolitano e l’ex iridato Under 23 Francesco Chicchi.
