THE RANGE

CB, the British maker of
high-performance agricultural and construction equipment, has always liked its tractors
to show a good turn of speed and
full front and rear suspension to
give a smoother ride. The new
Fastrac 7000 tractors launched at
Hanover’s Agritechnica 2007 industrial fair are no exception to the rule,
which the company has followed
since the debut of its first Fastrac
models in 1991.
The latest addition has been fully redesigned to take account of the
needs of large-scale farmers and
sub-contractors for whom high productivity is a must. The Fastrac
7170, 7200 and 7230 are powered
by a Cummins 6,700 cc 6-cylinder
engine producing from 173 to 220
HP. The climatised cab, billed as the
largest and most comfortable for this
segment of the tractor market, is situated further back than usual so the
driver can keep a closer eye on the
implement being used. The two recently designed gear boxes from
JCB Transmissions give a 24-speed
powershift with CVT or continuous
variation as an option, while the selflevelling suspensions on all four
wheels improve ease of manoeuvre
when lifting and lowering frontmounted tools.
The design of the chassis is also
new, to allow the tightest possible
steering radius for the front axle,
while also giving a configuration
compatible with the suspension.
The back tool attachment can carry
up to 9,100 kg and the optional
front hitch up to 3,500 kg. Another
important characteristic is the highcapacity hydraulic plant with a
choice between 100 and 140 litres
of maximum flow per minute for
each valve. According to the market, ABS is available for all four
wheels. The front differential has a
softly blocking mechanism while
there are touch screen commands
in the cab consolle and a fuel tank
holding 450 litres.

Jcb ha lanciato la

trattori Fastrac 7000 che, pur
conservando l’alta velocità e
le sospensioni sull’assale posteriore e su quello anteriore, caratteristiche distintive
del prodotto il cui primo lancio risale al 1990, è stata appositamente riprogettata tenendo conto delle esigenze
di quegli agricoltori e contoterzisti che ricercano altissimi livelli di produttività.
I tre nuovi modelli, Fastrac

Da segnalare anche l’impianto idraulico ad alta capacità con possibilità di scegliere tra portate massime
di 100 o 140 litri/min per
valvola, il sistema Abs sulle
quattro ruote (a seconda
del mercato), il completo
blocco dolce del differenziale anteriore di serie, i comandi “touch screen” e il
serbatoio del carburante di
450 litri.

Sempre all’Agritechnica il
Fastrac 8250, modello di riferimento della gamma di
trattori Jcb, ha messo una
marcia in più grazie all’introduzione di una nuovissima lussuosa cabina che of-
fre maggiore spazio e migliore visibilità. Il design a
quattro, anziché sei montanti, con l’eliminazione dei
montanti laterali, le porte
più profonde ed i finestrini
più ampi garantiscono una
vista indisturbata a 360 gradi su attrezzi, terreno e potenziali ostacoli. La visibilità è ottimizzata dal posizionamento del tubo di scarico lungo il montante destro della cabina, mentre il
fissaggio del tubo di scarico
al solo telaio, senza l’uso di
staffe o altri sostegni, contribuisce a ridurre la rumorosità e le vibrazioni. L’operatore dispone di un sedile
di guida ammortizzato, con
accanto l’esclusivo sedile
full-size per il passeggero, e
di un pannello di controllo
e monitor touch-screen
montato sul sedile.
Sul palcoscenico del salone
di Hannover hanno debuttato anche la pala gommata
compatta 403 Agri e il movimentatore telescopico 52656 Agri Loadall. Quest’ultimo presenta lo stesso layout
degli attuali modelli ad alte
prestazioni della gamma di
Loadall Agri, con motore
Jcb Dieselmax turbo con aftercooler da 100 CV, 4,4 litri,
a sedici valvole, conforme alle prescrizioni Tier III sulle
emissioni dei gas di scarico,
installato lateralmente anziché sul retro del telaio, con
l’evidente vantaggio di una
maggiore visibilità. I clienti
possono anche scegliere tra
un cambio manuale a 4 velocità, con velocità massima di
33 km/h o un cambio Powershift con comando a manopola e velocità massima di 33
km/h o 40 km/h, in entrambi i
casi con power shuttle ad innesto progressivo. Altre caratteristiche chiave della
nuova macchina, la cui manovrabilità è rimasta invariata grazie alle diverse modalità di sterzatura selezionabili (su due ruote, a granchio e
su quattro ruote), comprendono l’impianto idraulico da
80 l/min con pompa ad ingranaggi e il comando braccio/attrezzo a più leve.
La Jcb 403 Agri, alimentata
da un motore da 36 CV,monta una benna con una capacità di 0,3 m3 e dispone di un
innovativo sistema di trasmissione, dove un’unica pompa
idraulica a portata variabile
aziona quattro motori montati sulle singole ruote.Il sedile dell’operatore è ubicato sul
telaio posteriore, a garanzia
di una migliore visibilità anteriore. I bracci pala sono disponibili nelle versioni standard e high-lift, rispettivamente per altezze di scarico
di 2.180 e 2.428 mm.

more spacious and provides
greater legroom. With a four-post
instead of six-post design that eliminates side pillars, deeper doors
and larger windows, the driver has a
clear all-round view of implements,
terrain and potential obstructions.
Visibility is also helped by positioning the exhaust stack alongside the
right-hand cab pillar. Mounting the
stack only on the tractor chassis
with no brackets or other supports
helps reduce noise and vibration to
exceptionally low levels. Inside, the
driver, provided with an air suspension seat and a full-size passenger
seat alongside, has a seat-mounted
control panel and touch-screen
monitor to keep everything conveniently close to hand.
Handling, moving novelties
Also pulling in the crowds at the
JCB stand was the new compact
403 Agri wheeled loader and the
526-56 Agri Loadall, a modern,
lightweight and highly manoeuvrable handler enjoying the same
layout as the other high-performance handlers in the Loadall series. The engine, a 4,400 cc, 16valve, 100 HP Dieselmax turbo with
aftercooler, is installed sideways
and to one side rather than at the
back, with obvious advantages for
visibility and ease of maintenance.
Customers can also choose between a four-speed 33 km/h manual, or twist-grip powershift gearbox with 33 or 40 km/h gearing, in
all cases with a smooth-shift power
shuttle.
The handler is also just as manoeuvrable as its forebears thanks
to selective two-wheel, crab and
four-wheel, and it remains faithful
to the ‘simple solutions’ philosophy of the machines it replaces.
The simple 80-litre/min gear pump
hydraulics are operated by multilever controls and lift performance
is similar to that of the superseded
machines at 2.6 tonnes to 5.6 meters on 24-inch tyres; a little less
with the 20-inch tyre option.
Powered by a 36 HP engine, the
403 Agri has a 0.3 m3 bucket. Compared to its predecessors, there is
a new transmission with a single
42-litre amin gear pump hydraulics
system. Four individual wheel motors not only ensure effective traction over smooth and rough surfaces alike but also eliminate the
drive shafts that are otherwise
prone to wrapping with baler twine
or loose materials such as hay and
straw. The rear-placed cab improves visibility, and the bucket
arms are available in standard or
high-lift versions for heights of up to
2,180 or 2,428 mm.
