1. The swan.What
you need:

* the body: 6 pieces of toilet paper
* the neck: 2 pieces rolled up together and
twisted around themselves
* the wings: 1 piece folded and shaped
Il cigno. Cosa ti serve:
* il corpo: 6 pezzi (strappi) di carta igienica
* il collo: 2 pezzi arrotolati e attorcigliati su
se stessi
* le ali:
1 pezzo ripiegato e modellato

How to make balls to shape animals:
Pull the pieces of toilet paper from the roll.
Dip the first piece into a bowl of water and
squeeze it lightly.
Wrap another one round this one by rolling the
ball between your two hands, dip it all in the
water and squeeze it, again by rolling it between
your two hands.
Go on until you reach the size you need.
Then shape the ball as needed for your
project and put it into a plastic tub to dry on a
radiator.

Come creare le palline per modellare gli animali:
Strappa i pezzi di carta igienica dal rotolo.
Bagna il primo in una tazza d’acqua e strizzalo
leggermente.
Su questo avvolgi un altro pezzo roteando la
palla tra le due mani, immergi il tutto nell’acqua
e strizzala sempre roteando la pallina tra le mani.
Ripeti la stessa cosa sino ad ottenere la
dimensione della tua pallina.
Poi modella la pallina secondo il tuo progetto e
mettila ad asciugare in una vaschetta di plastica
su un calorifero.
Come dipingere il cigno:
con i pennarelli indelebili.

2. The Cat –
Il gatto
What you need:
4 pieces of toilet paper for the muzzle
(see above how to make these balls)
9 pieces for the body
2 pieces for each paw
1/6 of piece for each ear
* ink remover and indelible felt tin pens to paint
the muzzles
* The most suitable glue is Vinavil
Che cosa ti serve:
4 strappi di carta per il muso (vedi come creare le
palline sopra)
9 strappi per il corpo
2 strappi per ogni zampa
1/6 per le orecchie
* scolorina e pennarelli indelebili per il muso
* La colla più adatta è il Vinavil.

Painting the cat and Hippopotamus:
with watercolours before sticking the parts
together.
Eyes and mouth: make the eyes and the mouth
first with the ink remover and then paint them
with a suitable indelible colour
Pittura del gatto e dell’ippopotano: con i colori
acquarello prima di assemblarne il corpo.
Gli occhi e la bocca: crea gli occhi e la bocca con
la scolorina e solo dopo dipingili con dei pennarelli
indelebili.
3. Hippopotamus
What you need:
2 pieces of toilet paper for each paw
23 pieces for the body
7 pieces for the head
¼ piece of toilet paper for each ear
Quello che ti serve:
2 strappi di carta igienica per ogni zampa
23 strappi di carta per il corpo
7 strappi per la testa
¼ di carta per ogni orecchio

See the hippopotamus’ small tail on the right
side of the picture.
On the picture above there are the small pieces
of toilet paper used to make one of the ears.
On the bottom of the picture there is the
crochet hook to make the holes on the nuzzle.
Vedi la piccolo coda dell’ippopotamo sulla destra
della foto.
Sulla foto sopra, c’è il piccolo pezzo di carta
igienica con il quale è stato creata una delle
orecchie.
Alla base della foto c’è un uncinetto per fare i
fori sul muso.
