IT started
HAPPEN
A
pril 2008. When it all started. We both had an idea:
we wanted to create something of our own, something new and unusual
within the ceramic district
scenario, something built on concepts
and ideas able to generate a rupture
with the past.
Within the crisis of the ceramic tile business, filled with mediocre and speculative attitudes, we’ve always thought that
aiming for clear and direct concepts
could be the solution:
Create a motivated team, made up of
young people who are fighting for their
future.
Have a real specific communicative
identity.
Few and valid manufacturing partners.
The pressure ain’t on the sales, but to
structure long term markets.
Work more than the others, always.
Nothing new: back to basics.
The humbleness of simple concepts
alongside of great professionals: this is
Terratinta Ceramiche, and this is what
we believe is the future of our industry.

Entrepreneur, thinker and
doer. Experienced, professional, ambitious, and serious. In his previous life he
was used to win trophies
in sports (football, tennis,
chess). Not joking, he really
was. When not in the office
(?) he can be found purchasing the latest novelties on
Apple Store.
Formally: guitarist in a really
great band. Actually: entrepreneur, experienced, professional, dedicated and (almost) always positive. When
he’s not working somewhere around Europe or in his
cool office, you can find him
on the stage playing some
good stuff.
Far East countries, US and
Oceania
area manager.
Easy going, experienced and
calm, accurate and reliable.
Beside this, he loves Japanese food and he’s a frequent
wearer of ties (we tricked him
when shooting this pic!). He
hates being stuck in traffic.
French countries-area manager. Problem solver, tireless team player often on
his own in his trips to/from
France and around. Serious,
patient and organized, he’s
crazy about football (like
mostly all Italian men) and
his beautiful wife.

Executive Assistant: it’s her job
to keep things running smoothly as butter cream. And
things run pretty damn good
around here. Maybe because
she’s also a cake designer. You
can’t go wrong when you can
bake perfect cupcakes and
decorate unbelievably complex cakes. And she can.
Our prompt, dedicated,
skilled customer care trio.
Except for their accurate and
caring attitude, these three
gorgeous are pretty much
different: one is a gym addicted and bags serial collector, the other one is a bubbling and enthusiastic world
traveller, the other one is the
embodiment of precision,
speed and methodical. Together, they rock!
As the creative designer, she
doesn’t just think outside
the box, she lives there. Crazy
about all things creative,
she’s always busy designing
something new. Professional
food lover, smile practitioner,
TV series aficionada.
She makes things happen.
Logistics, suppliers and details are their friends. They
eat accuracy, promptness
and seriousness for breakfast. One of them two has
more experience than us all,
and talks aloud. The other
one looks like he’s done this
job from ages and wears
glasses.

Every office needs a crazy
cat lady: lucky us, we have
two. And our ones have impeccable organizational skills, a wide knowledge of all
things concerning administration, suppliers, datas and
office management and a
great sense of humour. One
is also a mum!
These two run the warehouse.
Problem solvers, passionate,
always full of positives vibes.
She knows how to get the
best out of people and how
to deal with everyone and
everything, he knows how to
manage the stuff and the pallet in Via Montebianco. She’s a
mum, he’s a dad. End of things in common.
In their spare time, one can
be found drinking good
beer with his wife and wrestling with his boys, another
one playing football and
the last one with a drink
on a dance floor. Daily,
working their a** off in the
warehouse. Always smiling,
always on time.
This is Pedro, for some reason known as ‘the office
cat’. Pedro doesn’t really
work at Terratinta Ceramiche, and doesn’t live here
either. Mostly he just hangs around, looking for head
and cheek rubs and undisturbed naps on some spare chairs.

eroded by the action of water. The tile edges
are rounded and uneven, as if worn by the
passage of time. This deliberately irregular
surface finish is filled with grout in order to
increase this distressed and time-worn effect . Tum-
bled surfaces are ideal for rustic look areas.

PORCELAIN by Terratinta, produced using
an advanced technology that allows to
achieve special decorative effects without
the use of any glazes but only by distributing the mix of porcelain raw materials throughout the
body of the tile; the distribution of these raw materials is
controlled and processed in order to achieve the design
we have previously selected for a specific range that in
case of Stoneantique is a timeless rustic stone design, in
contemporary colours.

T
he Four Shades Concept is
a project designed starting
from four colours of Betontech collection: WHITE, GREY,
CLAY AND MUD. We worked
on these fours shades and created a
unique, fresh and unusual concept,
starting from
where the porcelain tiles meet glass
mosaics and listels, where a re-interpretation of graphic decoration meets the latest ceramic technologies.

LE DÉBUT

vril 2008. Tout a commencé là. Nous
avions tous les deux une idée : créer
quelque chose à nous, quelque chose
de nouveau et étonnant dans le milieu
de la céramique. Un défi conçu pour
produire une rupture avec le passé.
La crise des affaires dans le secteur de la céramique,
caractérisée par attitudes spéculatives et médiocres,
nous a poussés à compter sur des concepts directs
et clairs:
Créer une équipe motivée, constituée par de gens
jeunes qui se battent pour leur futur.
Avoir une identité propre à communiquer.
Développer des produits étudiés pour un marché
spécifique, celui de l’Europe du Nord.
Réaliser une structure simple pour offrir au marché
des prix cohérents.
Peu de partenaires fabricants sélectionnés.
Pas de pression sur les ventes, il vaut mieux structurer
les marchés à long terme.
Travailler toujours plus que les autres.
Rien de nouveau: un retour aux origines.

LUCA
Entrepreneur. Penseur. Personne d’action avec
expérience. Professionnel, ambitieux et sérieux. Il
avait l’habitude, dans sa vie antérieure, de gagner
beaucoup de trophées en jouant à football, tennis
et échecs. On ne rigole pas, c’est vrai. Quand il ne
se rend pas au bureau (?) on peut le trouver en
train d’acheter quelques dernières nouveautés sur
Apple Store.
DAVIDE
Officiellement: le guitariste dans un grand groupe. Actuellement : entrepreneur avec expérience,
professionnel, dévoué et surtout toujours optimiste. Quand il ne travaille pas dans quelque pays
en Europe ou dans son joli bureau, il est certainement en train de jouer quelque pièce sur la scène.

Responsable des marchés du Extrême-Orient,
Etats-Unis et Océanie, facile à vivre, personne calme

Responsable du marché français. C’est pas mal à
résoudre les problèmes, infatigable joueur d’équipe
pourtant qu’il voyage souvent seul. Sérieux, patient et
bien organisé, il aime le football (comme la plupart
des hommes italiens) et sa jolie femme.

Cadre supérieur, tout doit se déroulent lisse et
sans problème comme la crème au beurre. Elle
fait de son mieux afin que tout puisse fonctionner
à la perfection. Peut-être parce qu’elle est aussi
bien une cake designer. Ne vous trompez pas au
moment de la préparation d’un petit gâteau, ou
quand vous décorez une incroyable pièce montée
comme elle peut faire.

ARIANNA - GIULIA - ERIKA
Notre trio service clients professionnel. Ce trio est
formidable. Précises et très responsables, elles sont
tout à fait différentes. Arianna est gym dépendante et aime collectionner les sacs en série, Giulia
est toujours bouillante et enthousiaste à l’idée de
voyager, Erika est l’incarnation de la précision, de
la vitesse et de la méthodique. Elles sont simplement géniales!
FEDERICA - RINO
Les deux font fonctionner le dépôt. Spécialistes en
résolution de problèmes, passionnés, débordants
d’énergie et d’ondes positives. Elle connaît bien
comment ménager les choses et obtenir le mieux
de tous. Il connaît comment gérer les trucs et les
palettes qui se trouvent en rue Montebianco. Elle
est mère, il est père. C’est tout ce qu’ils ont en commun.
CHIARA
Comme un designer créatif elle pense d’une façon
tout à fait originale. Géniale et véritable puissance
créatrice elle est toujours en train de dessiner de
nouveaux trucs. Experte gourmande, son sourire
est charmant. Passionnée de séries télévisées. Vous
verrez tout va se réaliser avec elle.
GIUSEPPE - ANDREA - NICOLA
Dans leur temps libre Andrea aime boire un verre de bière avec son épouse et jouer au bras de
fer avec ses enfants, Nicola s’amuse en jouant au
football et Giuseppe profite d’un cocktail pas loin
d’une piste de danse. Chaque jour ils travaillent fort
afin d’expédier toutes les commande leur assignés,
toujours souriants et ponctuels.
ERMANNO - LUCA
La logistique, les fournisseurs et les détails sont leurs
amis. Précision, célérité et sérieux sont les ingrédients
de leurs petits déjeuners. Un entre le deux à beaucoup
plus d’expérience que notre équipe toute entière
et parle à haute voix. L’autre semble avoir travaillé
depuis longtemps et il porte de lunettes.
PEDRO
Est voilà Pedro, connu comme «la mascotte du
bureau». Il ne travaille pas chez Terratinta Ceramiche et il n’habite ici non plus. Tout simplement il
veut attirer notre attention afin de se frotter contre
quelqu’un en faisant une petite sieste dans un coin
tranquille ou sur un fauteuil libre.

Le origini
A
prile 2008, tutto parte da qui. Entrambi avevamo un’idea: creare qualcosa
di nuovo ed insolito all’interno del distretto ceramico, una sfida incentrata
su idee e principi che rompessero con
il passato.
In un periodo di crisi del settore ceramico, dove atteggiamenti mediocri e speculativi erano all’ordine
del giorno, abbiamo puntato su concetti chiari e
diretti per generare una svolta.
E’ cosi nato un team motivato, composto da giovani disposti a lottare per il proprio futuro, guidati da
una identità comunicativa ben definita, con l’obiettivo di:
Studiare prodotti progettati per un mercato specifico, quello del Nord Europa.
Offrire prodotti e servizi la cui qualità tende alla perfezione.
Realizzare una struttura semplice per offrire al mercato prezzi corretti.
Affidarsi a pochi e selezionati partner produttivi.
Spostare la pressione non più sulle vendite, ma
sulla strutturazione strategica a lungo termine dei
mercati.
Lavorare più degli altri, sempre.
Niente di nuovo, semplicemente un ritorno alle origini.

Area Manager per Francia e Svizzera. Instancabile
nel lavoro di gruppo, specializzato nella risoluzione
dei problemi, è spesso solo durante i suoi viaggi
verso Francia e dintorni. Serio, paziente e organizzato, va pazzo per il calcio (come la maggior parte
degli italiani) e per la sua bellissima moglie.

Executive Assistant: il suo compito è bilanciare gli
ingredienti dell’ufficio, come in un’ottima ricetta, e
far andare le cose lisce come l’olio. E in effetti qui
le cose vanno proprio bene. D’altra parte lei è una
cake designer, imbattibile nella preparazione di
deliziosi cupcakes e incredibili torte decorate.
Il nostro trio dedicato al servizio clienti: un team
esperto, professionale ed attento. Fatto salvo per
la loro attitudine nei confronti della precisione
e della puntualità, sono tre magnifiche ragazze

Wie alles anfing

pril 2008, Alles fing hier an. Wir beide
hatten eine Idee: etwas zu schaffen, das
nur uns gehörte, etwas Neues und Ungewöhnliches innerhalb des Keramikbezirks. Ein auf neuartige Vorstellungen
und Ideen basiertes Konzept, das einen
wahrhaften Bruch mit der Vergangenheit darstellen
könnte.
Während der Krise der Keramik-Branche, die von
mäßigen und spekulativen Maßnahmen kennengezeichnet wurde, haben wir immer als einzige wirksame Lösung auf klare und direkte Konzepte unseren
Fokus gerichtet.

LUCA
Ein fachkundiger, professioneller, ehrgeiziger und
anständiger Unternehmer sowie ein Denker und
der Mann auf dem Feld. In seinem früheren Leben pflegte er sportliche Trophäen zu gewinnen
(im Fußball, Tennis und Schachspiel): tatsächlich,
das ist kein Witz! Was macht er wenn er nicht arbeitet? Man kann ihn beim Einkaufen der neusten
Produkte von Apple Store erwischen.
DAVIDE
Inoffiziell ist er Gitarrenspieler in einer großen
Band. Förmlich ist er ein fachkundiger, professioneller, begeisterter Unternehmer sowie ein (fast)
immer positiv denkender Mensch. Wenn er nicht
irgendwo beruflich unterwegs in Europa ist oder
nicht in seinem schönen Büro sitzt, kann man
ihn auf einer Bühne finden, wo er ziemlich gutes
Zeug spielt.
ENRICO
Verkaufsleiter für Fernost, USA und Ozeanien.
Ruhig, fachkundig, gelassen und zuverlässig. Er

liebt japanisches Essen und ist ein leidenschaftlicher Krawattenträger (er wurde reingelegt als wir
dieses Foto gemacht haben!). Er hasst es, wenn er
im Verkehr stecken bleibt.
ANDREA
Verkaufsleiter für Frankreich und die französische
Schweiz. Er löst Probleme, ist unermüdlich bei
der Teamarbeit und ist oft allein auf seinen Reisen nach und aus Frankreich und Umgebung.
Anständig, geduldig, gut organisiert und verrückt
nach Fußball (wie mehr oder wenig alle italienischen Männer) sowie nach seiner wunderschönen
Frau.

CATIA
Executive Assistant: ihre Aufgabe besteht darin, sicher zu gehen, dass alles im Büro reibungslos, ja,
wie geschmiert, läuft. Und es klappt (meistens)
wunderbar. Vielleicht liegt es darin, dass sie auch
eine Cake Designerin ist. Man kann nichts falsch
machen, wenn man solche einwandfrei und unglaublich toll dekorierten Kuchen backen kann:
und das tut sie in der Tat!
Unser Trio von fachkundigen, hingebungsvollen
und sorgfältigen Sachbearbeiterinnen. Gemeinsam haben sie nur die Gründlichkeit und die Sorgfalt. Sonst sind diese drei schöne Frauen ziemlich gut voneinander zu unterscheiden. Eine ist
„Fitnessstudio-süchtig“ und eine passionierte Taschen-Sammler, die zweite ist eine temperamentvolle und leidenschaftliche Weltreiserin, die Dritte
verkörpert Genauigkeit, Schnelligkeit und Akribie
bei der Arbeit. Die drei zusammen sind der Hammer!
CHIARA
Wie bei jedem echten Creative Designer denkt sie
nicht einfach „außerhalb der Schachtel“: sie lebt darin. Ganz verrückt nach allem was schöpferisch ist
und ständig damit beschäftigt, etwas Neues zu entwerfen. Sie liebt Essen, ist Fernsehserien-Abhängig
und Lächeln-Spezialist. Sie verwirklicht die Ideen.
ERMANNO - LUCA
Logistik und Lieferanten sind ihre besten Freunde.
Zum Frühstück essen sie unter anderen Gründlichkeit, Seriosität und Schnelligkeit. Einer der beiden
hat mehr Erfahrung als wir alle zusammen und
spricht laut. Der andere scheint, diese Arbeit seit
Jahrhunderten zu machen und trägt die Brille

ELENA - FULVIA
Jedes Büro braucht einen Katzenliebhaber: wir
sind glücklich und haben sogar zwei davon. Nicht
nur das, sie besitzen auch perfekte und organisatorische Fähigkeiten, wissen alles über Verwaltung,
Lieferanten, Daten und Büromanagement. Sinn für
Humor haben sie auch. Eine ist sogar eine Mutter!
FEDERICA - RINO
Die beiden führen das Lager und lösen Probleme.
Sie sind fachlich, sehr kompetent, leidenschaftlich
und immer positiv denkende Menschen. Die eine
versteht es mit Menschen umzugehen und von Ihnen das Beste heraus zu holen. Der andere weiß
alles von Lagerhaltung. Sie ist eine Mutter; er ist ein
Vater. Das ist alles, was die beiden gemeinsam haben.
Den einen kann man beim Biertrinken mit seiner
Frau oder beim Wrestlingsspielen mit seinen Kindern erwischen. Den anderen beim Fußballspielen
und den Dritten in einem Bar mit einem Drink in
seiner Hand. Das tun sie in ihrer Freizeit. Jeden Tag
arbeiten sie hart im Lager, immer pünktlich und
immer lächelnd.
PEDRO
Das ist Pedro, offenbar auch als „ Bürokatze“ bekannt. Pedro arbeitet eigentlich nicht für Terratinta Ceramiche und lebt auch nicht hier. Er trippelt meist
herum immer auf der Suche nach Liebkosungen
und ungestörten Nickerchen.
