April 15, 2013 – Moody's Investors Service affirmed China's government's bond rating of Aa3 but cut the outlook to stable from positive after Fitch Ratings cut China's long-term local currency credit rating to A+ from AA- last
week.
April 16, 2013 – The PBOC sold 58 billion of 28-day repo agreements at 2.75%. There are 87 billion RMB of repos matured this week.
April 16, 2013 – LDK Solar said that it missed a 23.8 million USD bond payment because of a "temporary cash-flow shortage". This is the second Chinese solar company which has defaulted on a debt payment to investors.
April 18, 2013 – The PBOC offered 43 billion RMB of 28-day repo agreements, the rate kept unchanged at 2.75%. The PBOC drained a net 14 billion RMB from the money market this week. This is the ninth week the PBOC has
drained liquidity from the banking system.
