JOHN, PAUL, RINGO E GEORGE: 1962/2012
Quest’anno ricorre il cinquantenario del primo disco dei Beatles. Per celebrare lo storico
avvenimento, oltre a dedicare uno “speciale” ai quattro musicisti inglesi all’interno della Gazzetta
della scuola, il Collegio Docenti della scuola primaria ha approvato un progetto interdisciplinare
che ha coinvolto tutte cinque le classi: durante le ore d’inglese gli alunni hanno studiato e tradotto
sette testi di canzoni dei Beatles - Love Me Do (1962), She Loves You (1963), A Hard Days Night
(1964), Yellow Submarine (1966), Hello Goodbye (1967), Obladì Obladà (1968), Here Comes The
Sun (1969) -; nel laboratorio di musica le canzoni sono state arrangiate per coro e orchestra, questa
per l’occasione è stata chiamata The Beatles’ Cover Club Band ispirandosi alla Sgt. Pepper’s
Lonely Hearts Club Band; tutte le classi hanno assistito alla proiezione in italiano del cartone
animato Yellow Submarine mentre i film Help e A Hard Days Night in inglese con i sottotitoli in
italiano sono stati presentati alle classi quarta e quinta, la quinta ha visto Magical Mystery Tour in
inglese e, infine, la terza e la quinta hanno visto una parte del film Let it Be, ultimo lavoro dei
Beatles prima dello scioglimento; durante l’ora di computer sono stati visionati su YouTube diversi
video relativi alle canzoni studiate; nell’ora di Educazione all’immagine sono stati eseguiti i ritratti
di John, Paul, George e Ringo utilizzando i pastelli di cera e un “murales” del “sottomarino giallo”
con colori a tempera e acrilici. Il progetto si concluderà l’8 giugno con il tradizionale concerto di
fine anno scolastico dedicato interamente ai Beatles.
2012 is the 50th anniversary of the first disc of The Beatles. In other to celebrate this historic event
our Primary school organized a series of activities involving the students of all the 6 classes. First
of all we published a special edition of the school Newspaper dedicated to the Fab four. We also
prepared an interdisciplinary project realized during the lessons of Music, English and Art resulted
in a final concert celebrating the end of the school year which will take place on Friday, the 8th of
June 2012. We will perform Love Me Do (1962), She Loves You (1963), A Hard Days Night (1964),
Yellow Submarine (1966), Hello Goodbye (1967), Obladì Obladà (1968) and Here Comes The Sun
(1969) The concert was prepared during all this spring semester. During the lessons of English
language, our students translated and studied the words of seven Beatles’ songs; the Music work
shop saw the preparation of the arraignments for the chore and orchestra, called for the occasion
The Beatles’ Cover Club Band. All the classes saw the cartoon Yellow submarine and the films A
Hard Days Night, Help, Magical Mystery Tour and Let it be. In the era of computers and internet,
we used a lot the You Tube and watched a lot of videos of the songs we prepared. During the Art
lessons, our students drow portraits of John, Paul, George and Ringo and a mural of a yellow
submarine.
