Siamo al 43. Festival Internazionale del Teatro, dopo sei
anni di sviluppo del progetto Biennale College Teatro.
Un progetto che ha dato al Festival un’identità unica
nel panorama mondiale. Grandi maestri offrono la
loro conoscenza ed esperienza, generando uno spazio
in cui incontrare giovani artisti per condividere il fatto
teatrale. I partecipanti possono vedere per due settimane
alcuni dei migliori spettacoli internazionali, interagire
coi maestri, frequentare le loro lezioni o partecipare al
processo di ricerca e creazione di una messa in scena
per il pubblico veneziano. Biennale College Teatro
ha generato ogni tipo di contributo creativo, per gli
insegnanti come per i partecipanti, provocando incontri
tra artisti di paesi diversi, originando progetti, facendo
entrare alcuni di questi artisti in importanti compagnie,
spingendo produttori internazionali a sostenere lavori
nati nell’ambito del College. Questa estate un nuovo
Festival, un nuovo College, con artisti come Christoph
Marthaler, Thomas Ostermeier, Oskaras Koršunovas,
Lluís Pasqual, La Zaranda, Jan Lauwers, Falk Richter,
Christiane Jatahy, Milo Rau, Agrupación Señor Serrano,
Antonio Latella, Fabrice Murgia, Romeo Castellucci,
Yasmina Reza, Pascal Rambert, Mark Ravenhill, Albert
Faura & Max Glaenzel.
This edition is the 43rd International Theatre Festival,
six years into the development of the Biennale College
Theatre project. A project that has shaped a truly unique
identity for the Festival on the international scene.
Leading masters offer their knowledge and experience,
generating a space in which they can meet young artists
to share the practice of theatre. The participants have
the opportunity, for two weeks, to see some of the finest
international productions, to interact with the masters,
to attend their lectures or participate in the process of
researching and creating a play for the Venetian public.
Biennale College Theatre has generated all sorts of creative
contributions, by both the teachers and the participants,
setting the stage for encounters between artists from
different countries, originating projects, paving the way
for some of these artists to join important companies,
encouraging international producers to support the works
created within the College. This summer, a new Festival,
and a new College, with artists Christoph Marthaler,
Thomas Ostermeier, Oskaras Koršunovas, Lluís Pasqual, La
Zaranda, Jan Lauwers, Falk Richter, Christiane Jatahy, Milo
Rau, Agrupación Señor Serrano, Antonio Latella, Fabrice
Murgia, Romeo Castellucci, Yasmina Reza, Pascal Rambert,
Mark Ravenhill, Albert Faura & Max Glaenzel.
