The water park is Le Caravelle in Ceri ale, in
the province of Savona, and is the only one

chi ama il movimento ci sono i campi da
beach-volley e le lezioni di aerobica, step

La M i n i era d i Ga m b a t es a (in provincia di
Genova) è aperta al pubblico con una serie di percorsi lungo le gallerie scavate
per l’attività estrattiva. Le visite si svolgono in parte a piedi e in parte su un trenino, a tutti verrà consegnato un casco
protettivo ed è consigliabile indossare un
paio di scarpe confortevoli e una giacca
calda anche in estate, perché la temperatura in galleria si mantiene attorno ai 15
gradi.
Dopo la proiezione di un breve filmato si
potrà quindi percorrere una piccola porzione dei 35 chilometri di lavori sotterranei della miniera, insieme a una guida che
descriverà le tecniche di scavo e di estrazione, i mezzi di trasporto e le condizioni
di lavoro dei minatori. Per poi terminare
nell’enorme salone artificiale dal quale in
20 anni sono state estratte 600.000 tonnellate di manganese. E’ possibile organizzare anche visite scolastiche, tematiche
e speleologiche.

a self-service restaurant, a café and sandwich shop, a focaccia shop and the picnic

The Mi niera di Gam batesa (Ga mbat es a
Mine) (in the province of Genoa) is open to
the public with a series of long paths and
tunnels carved out of the earth for the activity of extracting manganese. Visits are
held in part on foot and in part with a small
train, and everyone is given a protective helmet. It is a good idea to wear a pair of comfortable shoes and a warm jacket even in
summer time, because the temperature in
the tunnel hovers around 15 degrees centigrade. After watching a brief film, you can
go through a small portion of the 35 subterranean kilometers of the mine, together with
a guide who will describe the techniques for
excavation and extraction, the means of
transportation and the conditions of the
miners’ work. To then end up in the enormous artificial salon from which 20 years

testimonianze dedicati al passato, l’arte,
la cultura e i personaggi di Genova e provincia su pellicola, che i visitatori possono visionare sui 40 schermi distribuiti
nelle varie sale, seguendo un tema a piacere. Dal mito del cavaliere-eroe San
Giorgio, la cui croce rossa in campo bianco decora la Lanterna, alle storie degli altri fari del mondo; dalla figura del Baciccia, la maschera popolare le cui origini si
perdono nella tradizione genovese ai versi dei poeti che hanno cantato la Superba; dagli strumenti per la navigazione alla leggenda del Sacro Catino (il Graal per
alcuni)conservato in cattedrale. b

The Lanterna of Genoa, the lighthouse that
is the symbol of the city and that for centuries has been indicating the way for ships
