più sacro. E’ l’ultima sezione rimasta in piedi del muro di
contenimento che circonda il Monte del Tempio, distrutto
nel 70 dC.. Si trova lungo la parete occidentale della Spianata
delle moschee, una zona rialzata della città che comprende la
moschea Al Aqsa, la Cupola della roccia e altri luoghi di culto musulmani. Si tratta di un luogo controverso e allo stesso
tempo toccante, e qualunque sia la fede religiosa o le singole
sensazioni riguardo al storia del Muro, sia estremamente emozionante fare una sosta qui per osservare gli ebrei che infilano

Sono moltissimi i riconoscimenti che hanno catapultato Mariano Vargas nella rosa dei talenti fotografici
internazionali, come testimonia l’importante premio
britannico (10 ° Carità Erotic Awards-Fotografo
dell’anno), che lo annovera tra i migliori fotografi
erotici di oggi in seguito alla segnalazione della casa
editrice Taschen.
L’artista spagnolo, nato a Cadice, racconta che la sua
passione per questo modo di interpretare la fotografia e’ avvenuta in modo spontaneo. Tutto merito
della fotocamera di suo padre, presa in prestito per
fotografare delle amiche…”avevo 16 o 17 anni e con
la fotocamera Yashica GSN di mio padre ho iniziato a
fotografare delle amiche per poi dipingerle - racconta

artistici, l’immagine di Botticelli: La nascita di Venere. … Le donne che ho fotografato sono quelli che difendono il nostro tempo, che rappresenta
l’archetipo di quelle madri, quei lavoratori. Con
questo lavoro non voglio trasformare le donne dei
nostri giorni nella donna che simboleggia il periodo del Rinascimento, ma piuttosto il contrario. Ho
visto la necessità di estrapolare all’età contemporanea quell’immagine di donna rinascimentale, neobarocca, che ho scoperto quando ero un ragazzino”

ma senza dubbio quel momento magico che viene
ripreso dalla fotocamera e’ un momento unico e
sublime, che viene trasformato in un’opera d’arte.
Tanti sono i nuovi progetti che ci permetteranno di
ammirare altri capolavori dell’artista; uno di questi
è il nuovo libro , Mariano Vargas Works, cosi come
la mostra al Museo del Louvre, inserita in un progetto fotográfico sulla bellezza, le donne e la libertà,
che sapra’ regalarci, come dice l’artista, il suo miglior

“My favorite amusement was lock myself in the
library of my paternal grandfather, imagining with
great interest the art books that they had on their
shelves. They attracted me those pictures of naked
women with a pink complexion, their poses, their
faces overwhelmed by modesty, their expressions. I
keep in my memory as the best of artistic memories,
the image of Botticelli: The Birth of Venus. ... The
women I photographed are those who defend our
time, which is the archetype of those mothers, those
workers. This paper will not vogliotrasformare women of our days in the woman who symbolizes the
