Merchant Shipping Notices
It is a U.K. requirement that Merchant Shipping Notices (or “M” Notices) are carried onboard large
commercial yachts.
As there are a large number of "M" Notices, and many are not relevant to large commercial yachts, it is
accepted that these may be stored electronically.
However, the following list highlights some of the M Notices which are pertinent to yacht crew and are
expected to be readily available onboard and familiar to them:
