GARDEN
Garden è un progetto installattivo e di scrittura di movimento nato da una riflessione
fisica e spaziale sugli effetti provocati dalla persuasione su un individuo, è un pezzetto di spazio per sé dove si vive e ci si può muovere. Il giardino come forma d’azione,
cura e creazione, lavoro sulle quotidiane invenzioni d’immaginari, pratica di relazione
nella cura del luogo e strategia di sopravvivenza, come spazio individuale e di condivisione.
‘Garden’ is a performative installation project, born from an embodied and spatial reflection on how persuasion affects the individual. ‘Garden’ is a space for one’s own, where the
individual can live and move. A garden is a form of action, care and creation, it is a labour on the everyday creation of imaginary spaces, it is a relational practice and a survival
strategy, an individual, yet shared, space.

WE USED TO BE LOVERS
Una performance in cui il gesto, la partitura coreografica di dieci performer, la luce e
il suono di tre musicisti si immergono nel paesaggio architettonico creando un concerto cinematografico sull’amore e le sue declinazioni.
A performance where action, the choreographic score for ten performers, light and sound
intertwine with the urban landscape to create a cinematographic concert on love and its
declinations.

di testo tratti dai quaderni di Richard Foreman, Notebook e’ una serie di imitazioni
fisiche e sonore, espansioni e azioni fantasma.
‘Notebook’ is an act of translation in language and in sound. A setting of fragments of text
from the notebooks of Richard Foreman, ‘Notebook’ is a series of sonic and physical imitations, expansions and phantom actions.

HALF MOURNING
Il lutto leggero (Half Mourning) e’ la fase di transizione convenzionale in cui si inizia
a dismettere il nero per reintrodurre alcuni colori nel vestiario e a partecipare ad eventi mondani. Half Mourning e’ un’esplorazione performativa di Purvciems, quartiere
periferico di Riga, in Lettonia, una delle nazioni che fu vittima dello stalinismo e del
nazismo, quasi contemporaneamente. Tragedie senza piu’ tracce, eppure cosi’ grandi
che persino raccontarle significa tradirle. Noi siamo entrati e abbiamo abitato quei
luoghi. E la’ abbiamo capito che la morte non e’ soltanto una questione di tempo. Un
esempio: vi siete mai domandati se siete gia’ stati nel luogo in cui morirete?
‘Half Mourning’ is a transitional phase in which the grieving person starts re-introducing
colours in clothings and starts to take part to the social life again. Half Mourning is a performative exploration of Purvciems, a suburb of Riga, Latvia. Latvia was victim both of
Nazism and of Stalinism almost at the same time. These tragedies have left no trace today,
still they are so huge that even telling them means to betray them. We entered and inhabited those places. There, we understood that death is not just a matter of time. For instance,
have you ever asked yourself. If you have already been in the place where you will die?

EBOLLIZIONE
Una donna agisce come in un flusso di coscienza piuttosto fisico- corporeo, lasciando
emergere gli eterni dualismi mascolino/femmìneo ed erotico/nevrotico, così spesso
martoriati di cliché. Buffamente aggressiva, affannandosi nel proprio dramma e
dicendo più del dovuto mette in luce le proprie fragilità, i momenti di titubanza, le
gote che arrossiscono, gli sguardi che fuggono.
A woman at the mercy of a physical-embodied flow of consciousness. Letting the eternal
dualisms masculine/feminine, erotic/neurotic, so often wrenched by cliches, emerge. Aggressive and silly, saying more than it’s needed, exposing her fragilities, her hesitations, the
blushing cheeks, the wandering gazes.

MARGHERA HARP
Marghera Harp trasforma Forte Marghera in un gigantesco strumento a corda e uno
specchio acustico dello spazio. Attraverso cavi di metallo indotti elettromagneticamente, collegati a sezioni risuonanti dello spazio, il contenuto acustico dello spazio si
rivela.
‘Marghera Harp’ turns Forte Marghera into a massive stringed instrument and an acoustic
mirror of the space. Using electromagnetically-induced steel wires strung between different
resonant parts of the space, the acoustic content of the space is revealed.

- Mia madre e’ nata in Angola. – Mio padre e’ nato in Portogallo. Era stato mandato
in Angola come soldato delle milizie coloniali portoghesi. – Si sono conosciuti la’. –
Pochi anni dopo sono scappati in Portogallo, per via della guerra d’indipendenza.

C’e’ una tendenza a generalizzare e a stereotipare questioni legate a immigrazione,
rifugiati e richiedenti asilo. Ci si concentra sull’impatto economico e non su quello
umano. Questo progetto mette in discussione le nostre posizioni e opinioni verso uno
specifico gruppo sociale, le persone che richiedono asilo.
Contact zone
Ispirato a un disegno del 18esimo secolo, che illustra una nave di schiave di nome
Brookes, Contact zone si interroga su cosa significhi vivere in una societa’ multiculturale, in cui identita’, cultura, abitudini devono essere ri-negoziate quotidianamente.

-My mother was born in Angola. -My father was born in Portugal. He was sent to Angola
part of the Portuguese colonial military. -There, they met. -A few years later they escaped to
Portugal due to the Independence War.
‘Untitled’
Regarding the issues of Immigration, Asylum seekers and Refugees, there is a tendency to
generalize and stereotype, focusing on the economic impact rather than on humanity. This
project aims to question our conventional attitudes, behaviour and opinions towards a
specific social group, asylum seekers.
‘Contact zone’
Drawing inspiration from an 18th century print depicting a slave-ship named ‘Brookes’,
‘Contact Zone’ questions what it means to live in a multicultural society; where identity,
cultures and customs need to be negotiated daily.

The outcome of a web search are filtered according to a set of variables, including the track
of past explorations and the virtual experience the individual has undertaken. Each of us
corresponds to a bubble of personalised information, the feature of which is determined by
algorhythms we cannot control.
