Prayer Works!
LET US PRAY for those who have died
especially for the men and women in our
Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives in
defense of our country.
Never doubt the power of prayer!
This week’s prayer intention is for all
those who are homeless. I ask you all
once again to pray one Our Father and
three Hail Mary’s for the intention that
they find proper housing and shelter.
Thank You!
THE SANCTUARY LAMP will burn in
memory of Anna and Ralph Guange from

A note from Fr. Wayne . . .

Secrets of the Rosary
On Friday, February 6th at 6:00 p.m., we will explore
Saint Louis De Monfort’s Secrets of the Rosary. At
the end of six weeks we will come to a renewed love
and a deeper understanding of this devotion.
On Friday, we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the
five-alarm fire that devastated our beloved Church. I
can say in complete and utter honesty that yes the
Church building was destroyed, but the spirit that
makes Sacred Heart a blessed place continued on.
No fire, frigid temperatures, nor great adversity could
or will ever dampen the spirit that makes us a vibrant
and loving parish family. I am proud and honored to
have been the pastor of this parish for the past twelve
years and I truly look forward to the many more
years that I will be here to serve and love all of you.
Let us together pledge to continue the work of those
who have gone before us; those who had built this
new Church building. Our faith is in Christ and as
He rose from the dead, so too, did this parish rise
from the ashes of a burned Church. We will always
be rooted in Christ and we will always strive to be the
sons and daughters God has called us to be. May
God continue to bless our family.
Who is Saint Louis De Monfort?
Confessor Marian devotee, and founder of the Sisters of Divine Wisdom. He was born Louis Maie
Grignon in Montfort, France, in 1673. Educated at
Rennes, he was ordained there in 1700, becoming a
chaplain in a hospital in Poitiers. His congregation,
also called the Daughters of Divine Wisdom, started
there. As his missions and sermons raised complaints, Louis went to Rome, where Pope Clement
XI appointed him as a missionary apostolic. Louis is
famous for fostering devotion to the Blessed Virgin
Mary and the Rosary. In 1715, he also founded the
Missionaries of the Company of Mary. His True
Devotion to the Blessed Virgin remains popular.
Louis died at Saint-Laurent-sur-Sevre. He was canonized in 1947.
Parish Mission Statement

FOURTH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME
FEBRUARY 1, 2015
L’INGRESSO:
Lodate Dio, schiere beate del cielo,
Lodate Dio, genti di tutta la terra;
Cantate a lui, che l’universo creò,
Somma sapienza e splendore.
SECONDA LETTURA
Lodate Dio, ricco di grazia e perdono;
GLORIA
Gloria a Dio nell'alto dei cieli e pace in terra agli
uomini di buona volontà. Noi ti lodiamo, ti
benediciamo, ti adoriamo, ti glorifichiamo, ti
Signore,
Figlio unigenito, Gesù Cristo, Signore Dio, Agnello
Alleluia.
Alleluia
VANGELO
Il Signore sia con tutti voi
E con il tuo spirito.
Dal vangelo di Marco
Gloria a Te, O’ Signore.
PRIMA LETTURA
Sei
venuto a rovinarci?
profeta pari a me.

COMUNIONE:
Inni e canti sciogliamo, o fedeli,
Al divino Eucaristico Re
Egli, ascoso nei mistici veli,
Cibo all’alma fedele si diè.
Dei tuoi figli io stuolo qui prono,
O Signor dei potenti, Ti adora.
Per i miseri implora perdono,
Per i deboli implora pietà.
Per i miseri implora perdono,
Per i deboli implora pietà.
CREDO
Credo in un solo
Dio, Padre
onnipotente,
creatore del cielo e
della terra, di tutte le
cose visibili e
invisibili.
sotto Ponzio Pilato, morì e fu sepolto.
Amen
Sotto i veli che il grano compose,
Su quel trono raggiante di luce,
Il Signore dei signori si ascose
Per avere l’impero del cuor.
O Signore, che dall’ostia radiosa
Sol di pace ne parli e d’amor
In Te L’alma smarrita riposa,
In Te spera chi lotta e chi muor
In Te L’alma smarrita riposa,
In Te spera chi lotta e chi muor.
FINALE :
Lodate Dio, uno e trino Signore,
Lodate Dio, meta e primio dei buoni;
Cantate a lui, sorgente d’ogni bontà
Per tutti i secoli. Amen.
L’Angelus
V. L’Angelo del Signore portò l’annunzio a Maria;

The Didache Series - Midwest Theological Forum
The Natural Law
We know the Natural Law through human reason. On some fundamental level, everyone grasps the first principle of the Natural Law, which is to do good and avoid evil. Everyone
understands that one should not do to others what one does not want done to oneself. (I
should not be a bully because I do not want to be bullied). Everyone also understands that a
good end does not justify a bad means (To pay my school tuition, I should not rob a bank).
However, the Natural Law gets complicated because the rule of conduct for us concerns the whole of human nature. This whole human nature includes soul and body, our social nature, and our vocation to be with God. Next week some examples of this complexity.
