Compatibilità
Questo dispositivo è la naturale evoluzione del SIMATIC Rack PC 647C, al quale rimane
compatibile al 100% per quanto concerne le dimensioni.
I SIMATIC IPC647D non sono compatibili a livello d’immagine con gli IPC precedenti, in
quanto l’ hardware presente sui nuovi IPC è tecnologicamente più avanzato.
Per utilizzare le schede di rete integrate come Master Profinet RT, bisognerà attendere
I’aggiornamento SP2 di WinAC RTX 2010 (ca. metà 2014).
Migrazione
Il SIMATIC IPC647D sostituirà a medio termine il SIMATIC IPC647C che rimarrà
disponibile per circa ulteriori 15 mesi precedentemente alla fase di dismissione, che durerà
ca. 12 mesi.
