1. RULES
The regatta will be governed by the 'Rules' as defined in the ISAF 2005/2008 (RRS) Racing Rules and in the FIV
prescriptions concerning the National Sports Activities in force.
2. ADVERTISING
The regatta is a Category "C".
3. ELIGIBILITY AND LICENCES
Italian competitors shall submit their FIV licences valid for the 2008 year with medical stamp and Class membership.
Foreign competitors shall comply with their national rules.
Boats with regular Measurement Certificate, shall be admitted.
4. SCHEDULE OF RACES
5 (five) races are scheduled. The warning signal of the first race will be displayed at 12.25 p.m. of 8.11.2008.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH :
DINNER TO ALL THE COMPETITORS WILL BE OFFERED BY BALARDI FAMILY AT
“PICCOLO HOTEL”.
5. ENTRY
Entries shall be submitted on the Official Entry Form not later than Thursday, October 30th to:

The completion of registration shall be made at the race office within 11.00 a.m. of Saturday 08.11.2008.
6. ENTRY FEE
Euro 70,00. Payment have to be done by cash, no credit card.
7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing Instructions will be available upon registration at the race office of Fraglia Vela Malcesine.
8. INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of Euro
1.000.000,00.
The insurance or other valid substitutive document shall be submitted at the Regatta Office upon registration.

9. BOATS MOORINGS AND TRAILERS STORAGE
Free moorings, car parking and trailers storage will be at the disposal of all the competing yachts from Saturday,
November 1st until the end of the race.
Outside the above mentioned period the tariffs of 2008 price-list will apply.
10. PRIZES
“BALARDI CUP – PICCOLO HOTEL TROPHY” to the 1st classified;
Prizes for the final scoring.
Commemorative prizes to all the competitors.
11. DISCLAIMER
Competitors agree to be bound by International Sailing Federations “Racing Rules of Sailing 2005/2008” and the
Notice of Race. Competitors agree to take any and all responsibility for the nautical qualities of their yachts, the
rigging, the crew's ability, and the safety equipment. They also agree to take any and all responsibility for damages
caused to third persons or their belongings, to themselves or to their belongings, ashore and at sea as a consequence
of their participation in the “Balardi Cup – Piccolo Hotel Trophy” regatta, relieving of any responsibility the
Organising Authority and all persons involved in the organisation under whatever qualification and to accept full
responsibility for the behaviour and dress of the yacht's crew, representatives and guests.
Competitors are acquainted with “Racing Rules of Sailing 2005/2008” Fundamental Rule 4 “Decision to Race: The
responsibility for a boat's decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone”.
12. PHOTOGRAPHS AND TV RIGHTS
By participating in the “Balardi Cup – Piccolo Hotel trophy” regatta a competitor automatically grants to the
Organising Authority, the Class Association, Management Group and the Sponsor the right in perpetuity to make use
of and show, at their discretion, any motion pictures, still photographs, live or taped film or video on television
and/or other media, showing him/her during the period of the competition, as well
as to use such contents in any media whatsoever, for either editorial or advertising purposes or to be used in press
information without compensation.

IMPORTANT
Please note that due to local parking restrictions it is not possible to park Camper Vans within the confines of
the Fraglia either during the day or overnight. If you are arriving with a Camper Van you have permission to
unload at the Fraglia but must immediately move your vehicle to your reserved campsite.

Taking into consideration the limited number of parking spaces available, we highly recommend that
competitors, trainers and spectators use the cycle path which connects Malcesine to Navene via the Fraglia
Vela. Arriving by bike not only is environmentally friendly, but will also help with the parking and traffic during
Regattas. Hire bikes are readily available if you do not have your own.
We would remind you that ONLY ONE PARKING PASS will be issued to each team or boat competing in Regattas
at our base in Navene.

I DECLARE to relieve Fraglia Vela Malcesine Asd and all the persons involved in the organisation of the race from all and any responsibility for theft and/or damage that
