Il fotografo francese Yann Arthus-Bertrand fonda nel 1991 l’agenzia Altitude, una banca di immagini
aeree unica nel suo genere. Specializzato in questo tipo di fotografia, autore di circa sessanta libri, dal
1995 intraprende l’ambizioso progetto (patrocinato dall’Unesco) di raccogliere immagini della “terra vista dal cielo”. Basato sugli scatti realizzati da Arthus-Bertrand, La terre vue du ciel offre un inedito ritratto
del nostro pianeta. Piene di suggestione e bellezza, queste immagini ci conducono lungo un percorso
che dalla genesi arriva all’inurbamento, passando per le vestigia di antiche civiltà e per gli angoli più
sconosciuti della Terra.
In 1991, the French photographer, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, founded the agency ‘Altitude’ creating a unique collection of aerial pictures. Being a specialist in this kind of photography and having written about
60 books, he has carried out an ambitious project (with the patronage of UNESCO) of collecting photographs of the “earth from above” . Based on the shots taken by Arthus-Bertrand, La terre vue du ciel
depicts a portrait of our planet never unveiled before. These pictures are full of emotion and beauty and
take us on a journey from the Genesis to urban society; along the way they show us traces of ancient
civilizations and some of the most hidden places on earth.
Renaud Delourme ha iniziato la sua carriera come reporter televisivo e
ha fondato la rivista Thalassa. Nel 1988 crea le Editions Montparnasse,
che si occupano anche della produzione di documentari. La terre vue du
ciel è il suo primo lungometraggio.
Renaud Delourme started his career as a television reporter and then
founded the magazine Thalassa. In 1988, he created the Editions Montparnasse, which also deal with the production of documentaries.
La terre vue du ciel is his first long-running film.
