Prosecco’s elite is found in the Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze,
a small sandstone vineyard on the hill of Cartizze in S. Pietro
di Barbozza. The unique characteristics of this area allow for
later harvest periods with higher concetration of sugars.
Our Cartizze vineyard is the legacy of Nonno Bepi planted in
the 1920s. It’s heritage is unrivaled and the wine is a timeline
of the history of flavors of our land.
VINEYARD LOCATION The Tordera hillock in the hamlet of
Cartizze in Valdobbiadene.
VARIETALS Old vines of 85% Glera, 10% Bianchetta, 5%
Perera.
TRELLISING Double-arched cane.
HARVEST TIME Late September.
ALCOHOL 11,5%
RESIDUAL SUGAR 22 g/l.
TOTAL ACIDITY 6.3 g/l.
TOTAL SULFUR 88 mg/l.
COLOR Brilliant staw yellow with greenish hues.
PERLAGE Tiny and persistant.
AROMAS Complex and elegant; Abate Fetel pear; linden
and wisteria flowers; very noticeable hazelnut aromas.
TASTE Intese and elegant; golden ripe apple.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS Sparkling desert wine par excellence;
millefeuile with caramelized pears and chantilly.
SERVICE 8- 9° C (46°- 48° F).
