The yacht is particulary beautifully built by the Beltrami yard , the standard of workmanship beeing superb.Of an order we used to associate with Fife of Fairlie... Description: IN ENGLISH: Nina V is the design n° 182 of Jack Laurent Giles . She was built by the italian shipyard Beltrami, one of the very best of the world. in 1954. As reported by Yachting World Annual of 1954, Nina V was able to beat the fastest yacht of the fleet, Miranda IV ,another Giles design of 1951, in one of the very first races of her life, between Genoa and Sanremo ,in light weather condictions earning immediately a reputation of very fast racer. In 1957 she won the important offshore race La Giraglia , this time in very hard conditions , gale wind and stormy weather... So she was named a racer for any weather! Still raced up to the 70'ies, she became a cruising yacht later and she is ready now to come back and raceamong the classic yacht fleet . ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IN ITALIAN: Nina V è il progetto n° 182 di Jack Laurent Giles. Lunga 14,50 m, fu costruita dal prestigioso cantiere Beltrami tra il 1953 e il 1954. Come riporta Yachting World Annual del 1954, il suo primo armatore Franco Mazzucchelli “non intendeva affrontare un intenso programma sportivo ma, in una delle sue prime regate , tra Genova e Sanremo, Nina V fu in grado di battere Miranda IV , celebre progetto di Giles del 1951 che aveva una prodigiosa reputazione di imbattibilità. Quello di Nina V fu così giudicato dalla rivista “un esordio promettente”. A cui fecero seguito altri grandi successi Meno estrema della sorella maggiore, è stata una barca vincente specie in condizioni di vento forte e mare formato, come nell'edizione del 1957 della Giraglia,che vinse, quando molti delle partecipanti furono costrette al ritiro. Barca molto importante fino agli anni 70, poi buona barca da crociera di base nelle acque toscane, è ancora in ottimo stato strutturale ed ha subito nel 2007 un controllo e una revisione generale a Viareggio presso i Cantieri Francesco Del Carlo. ● Asking Price: 60.000 ● History: Notes: This yacht is a sound boat .She lacks some brightwork and is in the need of a new engine.
