ew Holland has taken the
recent shift towards
biodiesel as a good
chance to install Tier III engines
in its new 50-100 HP tractors,
the T4000, T5000 and TD5000
model ranges, all produced at
the company’s factory at Jesi
near Ancona. The power units
can work on 100% biodiesel
known in the business as B100.
The tractors are versatile and
can be used in a whole range of
tasks, from the open field to specialised operations. Versatility
has been the hallmark of NH’s
leadership in this segment of the
market for decades.

T4000, cut to the customer’s
measure
The T4020, 4030, 4040 and
4050 come in three different
models, with rollover protective
frame (ROPS), rollover protection and low profile, and with a
Blue Cab pressurised cab
mounted on shock absorbers.
The long list of models and options is designed to give the
customer a tractor cut as close
to his needs as possible. The
T4000 series, heir to the TND-A,
has four-cylinder, turbo-compressed power units with intercooler and internal exhaust gas
recirculation, putting them in line
with European Union’s Tier III regulations on gas emissions and
the like. In particular, the T4020
and T4030 have new 3200 cc
F5C 65 and 77 HP engines from
the Fiat PowerTrain research programme. They reach their nominal power at only 2,300 rpm,
which means an immediate benefit in reducing noise and running costs. The 86 HP T4040
and the 97HP T4050 use the
4,500 cc FPT Nef engine, which
runs on about 8-9% less fuel
than previous Tier II models.
The engine block is also thicker
and more compact to reduce
noise and vibration.
The normal transmission is the
Shuttle Command with 16 forward gears and 16 in reverse

T4000, macchine configurate a misura di utilizzatore
La serie T4000 è composta
di quattro modelli: T4020,
T4030, T4040 e T4050, ciascuno dei quali è disponibile
in tre diversi allestimenti:
con telaio Rops, con telaio
Rops e profilo ribassato LP,
con cabina sospesa con impianto di pressurizzazione
Blue Cab. L’ampia offerta di
allestimenti e opzioni punta
ad offrire ad ogni utilizzatore la soluzione più adeguata
alle proprie necessità. I trattori della serie T4000, eredi
dei TND-A, montano propulsori a 4 cilindri, turbocompressi con intercooler
ed Egr (Exaust gas recirculation) interno, rispondenti

alla normativa Tier III. In
particolare i modelli T4020
e T4030, rispettivamente da
65 e 77 CV, sono
equipaggiati
con i nuovi
F5C, da 3,2 litri,
frutto della ricerca motoristica di
Fiat PowerTrain, in grado di
raggiungere la potenza nominale a soli 2.300 giri/min
con un intuibile immediato
beneficio in termini di economia di esercizio e riduzione della rumorosità. I
modelli T4040 da 86 CV e
T4050 da 97 CV sono motorizzati invece con l’Fpt Nef
da 4,5 litri che garantisce
consumi ridotti dell’8-9%
rispetto alle precedenti versioni rispondenti alle normative Tier II; inoltre il
blocco motore più spesso e
compatto riduce rumorosità e vibrazioni.
La trasmissione fornita di serie è la Shuttle Command con 16

rapporti avanti x 16 retromarce e mini riduttore da
800 m/ora, ma sono disponibili in opzione: la trasmissione Shuttle Command 28 AV
x 16 RM con superriduttore; la trasmissione Split
Command 32 AV x 16 RM
con riduttore meccanico sincronizzato; la trasmissione
Dual Command 32 AV x 16
RM con Power Clutch, ossia la gestione del cambio di 8 rapporti senza
mai dover utilizzare il
pedale della frizione; la
trasmissione Dual Command 44 AV x 16 RM con
Power Clutch e superriduttore da 200 m/ora. Il Powershuttle permette l’inversione di marcia sottocarico.
I trattori T4000 associano ai
nuovi motori a 4 cilindri una
maggiore potenza idraulica.
Per tutti i modelli della serie la portata delle pompe a
tandem standard è di 75
l/min, incrementabile fino a
96 l/min con la pompa MegaFlow opzionale.Il sollevatore
posteriore è a controllo meccanico, con una capacità di
sollevamento di 2,6 tonnellate.A richiesta è disponibile il
controllo elettronico.
All’interno della cabina, riprogettata, l’impianto elettrico è semplificato e migliorato con l’adozione della tecnologia Can-bus
che migliora la comunicazione tra i sistemi elettronici
del trattore, riduce e semplifica i cablaggi e consente
una rapida individuazione
degli eventuali guasti.Totalmente nuovo il cruscotto
analogico-digitale, che combina il meglio delle due tecnologie per fornire all’operatore un’informazione immediata ed una chiara lettura dei dati operativi.
T 5000, produttività
e potenza
La serie T5000 si compone
di 4 modelli: T5030 da 76
CV, T5040 da 86 CV, T5050
da 97 CV e T5060 da 106
CV. I T5000 prendono il posto dei TL e TL-A e
adottano motori Iveco Ftp

reverse, a Split Command with 32
by 16 and a synchronised mechanical reducer, a 32 by 16 Dual
Command with power clutch so
that the eight-gear box can be
managed without touching the
clutch, a 44 by 16 Dual Command
with power clutch and supercreeper at 200 meters an hour.
The power shuttle makes it possible to reverse when the tractor is
under load.
The T4000 associates the new engines with increased hydraulic
power. For all production models,
the standard tandem pumps ensure a flow of 75 litres a minute,
rising to 96 litres if the Megaflow
pump is chosen as an optional.
The back lift is mechanically controlled and can lift up to 2.6 tons.
Electronic control is also available.
The cab has been re-designed inside, the electrical fittings simplified and improved with the introduction of can-bus technology to
improve interfacing between the
tractor’s electronic systems. It also reduces and simplifies cabling
and enables quick identification
of defects. The analogical-digital
display console is totally new and
combines the best of the two
technologies to give the driver
immediate and clear readings of
operating data.
T5000, productivity and power
The T5000 series consists of the
76 HP T5030, 86HP T5040, 97
HP T5050 and 106 HP T5060,
which replace the previous TL
and TL-A series. The power unit
is a 4,500 cc Iveco FTP Nef turbo
intercooler Tier III engine, with
torque increased by about 1416% and low fuel consumption.
The front axle has been re-designed from scratch to ensure reinforcement for double traction and
a steering lock of 60°, giving a
steering circle of 4.05 meters.

draulic plant, the series achieves a
maximum flow of 80 litres a minute
which means a significant improvement in the lift’s performance.
TD5000, versatility and comfort
The series includes the 88 HP
TD5040 and the 95 HP TD5050
with 4,500 cc Iveco FTP Nef turbo
intercooler engines with integrated
exhaust gas recirculation. This ensures respect for Tier III requirements and also contains fuel consumption without penalising performance, achieving maximum
torque at only 1,300 rpm and offering abundant reserve torque
(50% for the TD5040 and 44% for
the TD5050).
Two transmissions are offered: the
Synchro Shuttle with synchronised
gears which, thanks to the synchronised inverter, brings 12 reverse gears into play as well, and
the 20 forward by 12 reverse Synchro Shuttle with super-creeper if
requested. Strong points of the
new tractors are their compactness
and the excellent ratio of weight to
power which makes them very versatile. The lift can handle up to
3,600 kg.

TD5000, versatilità
e comfort
La serie TD5000 è composta
di due modelli, TD5040 e
TD5050, con potenze di 88 e
95 CV rispettivamente e motori Iveco Ftp Nef turbo intercooler da 4,5 litri che inte-
grano nella testata il sistema
Egr. Questa soluzione tecnica, oltre a garantire
New Holland T4050
il rispetto della
normativa europea
Tier III, permette di contenere i consumi senza penalizzare le prestazioni, con il
raggiungimento della coppia
massima a soli 1.300 giri/min
ed un’abbondante riserva di
coppia (50% per il TD5040 e
44% per il TD5050).
Due le trasmissioni offerte:la
Synchro Shuttle a 12 rapporti
sincronizzati che,grazie all’inversore sincronizzato, diventano 12 AV + 12 RM, e la
Synchro Shuttle 20 AV x
12RM con, a richiesta, il superriduttore. Tra i punti di
forza di questi nuovi trattori
le dimensioni compatte e l’ottimo rapporto peso/potenza
che li rende macchine molto
versatili. La capacità di sollevamento è di 3.600 kg.
