BOOK YOUR NEXT FLIGHT
At check-in, your baggage will be weighed and tagged with your name, itinerary, airport
codes, flight numbers and dates. The desk staff will affix tag receipt onto your ticket so
that you can identify your baggage upon arrival and so that, should your baggage be lost,
it is easier to track. We suggest you also place your own personal tag on your baggage,
including your contact information, so that you can be reached in the event of a
problem.
SIZE, WEIGHT AND QUANTITY
Make sure your baggage is strong enough and does not exceed the maximum allowed
size: 158 cm (height + width + depth).
Cardboard boxes may be accepted as checked baggage, provided they are labeled with
the passenger's name, wrapped in cellophane, and comply with the maximum allowed
size.
Allowance:

The cost of your Alitalia ticket includes the transportation of a certain amount of baggage
(allowance). This allowance varies according to the travel class and destination. The allowance is the
maximum number of pieces and total weight of baggage allowed and depends on the date of the issue
of the ticket and not on the date of the flight.
Excess:
•
If your baggage exceeds the number of pieces, weight or size allowed, you will be required to pay
an excess baggage fee at the Alitalia ticket desk at the airport.
