Success comes from the ability to respond to market demands.
The concept above has been at the core of Veco philosophy since the company's inception, and continues to
be after 35 years of business. Having the ability to anticipate
customer needs has permitted the founder, Franco Formenti,
to create a new industrial reality at a world-class level.
Frigoboat's product line has evolved from an innovative
refrigerating system he designed with simple means in
1970 for a friend sailor, to today's comprehensive range of
highly sophisticated refrigeration equipment.

Cette notion sous-tend la philosophie Veco depuis ses
débuts et continue d'être au cœur de la stratégie de
l'entreprise. La capacité de deviner les attentes du consommateur a en effet permis à l'ingénieur Franco Formenti, fondateur de l'entreprise, de créer une industrie à l'échelle mondiale en passant d'un système innovant de réfrigérateur, réalisé de manière artisanale en 1970 pour un ami navigateur, à
une série de produits toujours plus sophistiqués et diversifiés
dans le domaine du froid.

origini, e continua ad essere al centro della strategia aziendale. La capacità di intuire le istanze del consumatore ha infatti
permesso all’ing Franco Formenti, fondatore dell’azienda, di
creare una realtà industriale a livello mondiale, passando da
un sistema innovativo di frigorifero, realizzato in maniera artigianale nel 1970, per un amico velista, ad una serie di prodotti sempre più sofisticati e diversificati nel campo della refrigerazione.
1972
1978 - The name FRIGOBOAT is adopted as the name of the manufacturing
company, previously named 3F di F.Formenti. Franco Formenti's son, Carlo, and
Giuliano Brivio joined Franco in the company "FRIGOBOAT s.n.c.", later to become
Veco S.p.A. Carlo is currently the CEO, Giuliano Brivio is Technical and Production
Manager, while Franco concentrates on new product development.
1978 - Création du nom FRIGOBOAT qui devient également l'appellation de
l'entreprise, précédemment baptisée 3F di F.Formenti. La nouvelle société FRIGOBOAT s.n.c. accueille également le fils du fondateur, Carlo, actuel président du
conseil d'administration, et Giuliano Brivio, responsable de la production et des services techniques.
1978 - Nasce il nome FRIGOBOAT che diventa anche il nome dell’azienda precedentemente denominata 3F di F.Formenti. Nella ditta FRIGOBOAT s.n.c.
entra il figlio Carlo, attuale presidente del consiglio di amministrazione e Giuliano
Brivio in qualità di responsabile della produzione e dell’ufficio tecnico.

The company occupies 5,000 square meters.
In this area are located the manufacturing
lines, the commercial and administration offices, and
the technical and development departments.
Veco has a state-of-the-art test room where units up
to 1 million Btu/h capacity can be thoroughly tested.
Veco has the capability to design and manufacture a
complete series of components and assemblies, utilizing laser cutting machines and robotic work centres. The Commercial Office houses the Export
Department as well the National Sales (Italy) and the
Customer Support departments.
The Technical Office comprises the R&D branch and
also a special department for Quality Management.
To meet the highest standards of quality control, and
as a guarantee that all Veco products fulfil our specified characteristics.
Veco has been certified ISO 9001-2000 by DNV.

administratifs et techniques. Elle dispose en outre
d'un vaste atelier destiné à la vérification finale et à
l'essai des climatiseurs d'une puissance allant jusqu'à un
million de Btu/h. L'entreprise est en mesure de concevoir et
de produire toute une série de composants et de gérer une
chaîne d'usinage des tôles avec des machines de découpe
au laser et des robots de pliage.
Les services commerciaux gèrent les ventes en Italie et à
l'étranger. Les services techniques, assistés du service
clients, s'occupent de la recherche et du développement de
nouveaux produits.
VECO est certifiée ISO 9001-2000 depuis 2002.
De plus, un département a été créé
au sein de l'entreprise qui se consacre exclusivement au contrôle
qualité afin de vérifier que chaque
produit sortant des chaînes de
montage répond aux critères
techniques déclarés.

collocati oltre alle linee di montaggio, gli uffici commerciali, gli uffici
amministrativi, e l’ufficio tecnico. L’azienda dispone di un imponente
impianto per il collaudo e la verifica di macchine per il condizionamento
di potenza fino ad un milione di Btu/h.
L’azienda è in grado di progettare e produrre tutta una serie di componenti, gestendo una linea di lavorazione delle lamiere con macchine taglio
laser e robot per la piega.
L’ufficio commerciale per la gestione delle vendita in italia e all’estero.
L’uffico tecnico con il reparto assistenza clientie il settore sviluppo e ricerca nuovi prodotti.
Dal 2002 la VECO e certificata ISO 9001-2000.
All’interno dell’azienda e stato creato un dipartimento che si occupa
esclusivamente del controllo qualità per garantire ad ogni prodotto i requisiti tecnici dichiarati.

The qualified assistance.
The Veco company takes care of the training and of the
updating of its assistance and sale centres. In fact, in
its head office there is a big room for training and updating
courses, composed by a very comfortable area for the theory and by a laboratory for the test and the practice. This exigency shows how much care the firm devotes to assure that
its assistance and its sale centres are qualified and up to the
market and to give immediately information about its innovations on the market.

Our plants are installed on boats sailing all around the world. That’s why we have got assistance centres everywhere.
In the USA the Vecona company has been founded thanks to the direct sharing of the Italian Veco company. In fact, the
Veco management pays much attention to the overseas market, which appreciate the European production quality and above
all the italian design very much.
The American branch is composed by a 4500 sq.m. storehouse and has got 72 peripheral assistance centres.

The out-hull exchanger system offers two important advantages, which make particularly desirable its adoption:
1) Thanks to its streamlined design, it doesn’t interfere with the motion during the navigation and thanks to its rounded shape, it doesn’t offer any offer any hold to eventual objects in the sea.
2) It is external to the hull so that the warm water, that according to the thermodynamic principle tends to ascend can circulate freely and to flow upwards. So there is a continous turnover: the warm water flows upwards and the cool water replaces it continually
around the exchanger, even if the boat is not sailing and it is in tropical waters, so that the refrigerating system works better.
In fact, if the exchanger was in a niche of the hull (A), according to a first project, to exclude the risk of entangling eventual objects
in the sea ( Solved thanks to its rounded shape), it would be impossible to avoid the stagnation of the warm water. This would cause
the impossibility for the system of cooling down adequately.
Le système avec l’échangeur hors-coque offre deux avantages très importants, qui rendent souhaitable son adoption:
1) La particularité de son design hydrodynamique n’oppose aucune résistance au mouvement pendant la navigation. En outre, sa
forme arrondie évite le risque de s’accrocher à eventuels objects jetés à la mer.
2) Comme il est extérieur à la coque, l’eau chaude, qui sur la base du principe thermodynamique tend à monter, peut circuler sans
empêchements. Elle s’écoule vers le haut, en permettant ainsi un rechange continu: l’eau chaude monte et l’eau froide la remplace autour de l’échangeur, même si l’embarcation n’est pas en navigation ou se trouve en eaux tropicales, pour garantir un meilleur rendement du groupe réfrigérant.
En effect, si l’échangeur était inséré dans une niche (A), selon un projet initial pour éviter le risque
de s’accrocher à eventuels objects jetés à la mer (résolu grâce à sa forme arrondie), on créerait
une stagnation d’eau chaude à cause de laquelle la température du système n’arriverait pas à égaler un refroidissement optimal.

auspicabile la sua adozione.
1.La particolarità del suo design idrodinamico non oppone alcuna resistenza al moto,
così da non interferire con la navigazione.
Inoltre, avendo una forma arrotondata non offre appigli a eventuali oggetti dispersi in mare.
2.In quanto esterno alla carena, l'acqua calda, che in base al principio termodinamico tende a salire, può liberamente circolare e defluire verso l'alto permettendo in tal modo un continuo ricambio:
l'acqua calda compie un percorso di risalita e l'acqua fredda si sostituisce ad essa attorno allo
scambiatore in modo continuo così da garantire una resa maggiore del gruppo refrigerante, anche
con imbarcazione ferma e in acque tropicali.
Infatti, se lo scambiatore fosse inserito in una nicchia (A), come peraltro si era elaborato in fase di
progettazione, ritenendolo utile al fine di escludere i rischi seppure remoti di potersi impigliare in
qualcosa, non si potrebbe ovviare ad un inconveniente tale da compromettere il buon funzionamento del gruppo refrigerante. Infatti si creerebbe un ristagno di acqua calda, per cui la temperatura del sistema non riuscirebbe a raggiungere un raffreddamento adeguato e ottimale.

Electronic controller for Danfoss BD35 e BD50 compressors which incorporates the universal mains supply adaptor (230/50-60 and 115/50-60).
When mains is available this device excludes automatically the battery supply and runs the compressor from mains. This device is compatible for 12
and 24V installations and includes an overload protection for the A.C. supply with the limit of 100W. For Frigomatic W units (pump cooled), the pump
must have a separate D.C. supply as the controller cannot run the compressor and the pump.
For the compressor speed it is needed a specific device E52595.
The size of this special controller are bigger than the original one and not all the Frigomatic models are compatible with its size. It is howevre possible
to install the controller remotely extending the wires up to 75 cm. (2 1/2 ft). The plug is not polarized.
For the electrical connections, note that the fan (5) must be connected between F and + with a max absorption of 0.5 A. The same for the fridge lamp
(10) to be connected between A e C, with the same limitation max 0.5A. Fan and fridge lamp get a stable 12V from the controller.

Pratico dispositivo che permette di raffreddare una cella che è adiacente a quella dove è installato l'evaporatore o la piastra ad accumulo
dell'impianto frigorifero. Il ventiltermostato deve essere installato nella cella che non ha l'evaporatore o la piastra in alto. A circa< metà altezza della
stessa cella va realizzato un foro che permetta la circolazione dell'aria quando il termostato fa funzionare il ventilatore, aspirando il freddo dalla cella
che ha installato l'evaporatore. Il nostro ufficio tecnico è a disposizione per suggerimenti su questa installazione.
