Specie in estate, tutto il mondo e’ uguale. Almeno per
certe cose. Come l’abbandono degli animali e la mancanza di cura nei loro confronti. Un’attivita’ che la Dog
Rescue di Hong Kong, associazione che dal 2003 si occupa dei cani abbandonati dando loro ricovero e cure
mediche, nonche’ una nuova casa, conosce molto bene.
Sono molte le attivita’ svolte per raccogliere fondi e
permettere così che l’attività prosegua. Tra queste, ce
ne e’ una che si svolgera’ il 25 giugno a Repulse Bay.
HKDR was founded in 2003 for the specific purpose
of saving dogs and puppies from the Hong Kong Government’s Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) Animal Management Centres, where
around 7,000 dogs and puppies are destroyed every year.
A lot them of were family pets that had been
abandoned on the street or in country parks,
while others have been directly surrendered.
Many are puppies that are the result of irresponsible owners not desexing their pets, or
are those born to abandoned or stray dogs.
They all have one thing in common and that
is that they are homeless and unwanted, and
have just four days to live unless they are chosen for re-homing. To support the Hong Kong
Dog rescue activities there are two traditional
fundraising events on 2016. The first tis the
Gala Dinner which will take place once again
at the Aberdeen Marina Club on Saturday 1st

The theme this time is “Game of Bones”” which
will give everyone huge scope when it comes
to dressing up. The second is “Peak to Fong” ,
sponsored Dog Walk and Street Party on Sunday 13th November. Once again, Disney have
very generously pledged their support with
amazing T-shirts in limited edition collection.
But coming up first is dogs-included Summer BBQ Party on Saturday 25th June, 3pm
to 9pm, at The Pulse in Repulse Bay, complete with dog splash pools for the four-legged
guests, unlimited drinks and food, and a Snapshot competition where winners get a picnic
basket sponsored by Invisible Kitchen. ( www.
