modules and subsystems) for agile Petabit/s Optical Core and Metro Networks
Expected funding per project: 6 – 8 M€

Photonic integrated circuit (PIC) technology
Disruptive approaches to optical manufacturing by 2 and 3 D opto-structuring
Expected funding per project: 3 – 4 M€
ICT30.b Innovation Actions
 Innovation Incubator for SMEs
 Application driven core photonic devices integrated in systems
Focus is on one of the following themes:
i. Biophotonics: imaging systems for in-depth disease diagnosis
ii. Sensing for process and product monitoring and analysis
The action may involve financial
support to third parties
Expected funding per project: 8 – 10 M€ and 6-8 M€ respectively
ICT30.c Coordination and Support actions
 Supporting the industrial strategy for photonics in Europe
(road-maps, stakeholders engagement, coordination of regional, national and European strategies and priorities, development of financial engineering…)
Expected funding per project: contribution of up to 3 M€. No more than one action will be funded.
