Il TARM valuta la capacità di leggere, comprendere e interpretare un testo in lingua inglese tratto (e adattato) da
quotidiani/periodici internazionali di stampo socio-economico. 5 domande attestano la comprensione del testo e del
lessico specialistico legato a concetti economici di carattere generale. È necessario possedere un grado di competenza
linguistica di livello pre-intermedio. Nello specifico i candidati dovranno dimostrare di saper:
● Comprendere il senso generale dell’articolo;
● Identificare i concetti essenziali espressi nel testo;
● Riconoscere il significato di alcune parole chiave in lingua inglese utilizzate nel contesto economico.
Altre 3 domande sono relative a istituzioni nazionali e sovrannazionali, ai più importanti avvenimenti che riguardano le
vicende e i fenomeni di attualità nell’economia e nella politica nazionale e internazionale nonché i protagonisti che
svolgono ruoli importanti nelle organizzazioni, nelle imprese e nelle istituzioni. Anche in questo caso è necessario
possedere un grado di competenza linguistica di livello pre-intermedio.

Apple is regularly voted the most innovative company in the world, but its inventiveness takes a particular form. Rather
than developing entirely new product categories, it excels at taking existing ideas and showing the rest of the world how

the Macintosh. It was not the first graphical, mouse-driven computer, but it employed these concepts in a useful product.

company’s latest product, the iPad—a thin, tablet-shaped device with a ten-inch touch-screen. The iPad has soon been
the subject of hysterical online speculation verging at times on religious hysteria: sceptics in the blogosphere jokingly
call it the Jesus Tablet. The enthusiasm of the Apple faithful may be overdone, but Mr Jobs’s record suggests that when
he blesses a market, it takes off.
