Possiedo buone competenze organizzative dell'attività di ricerca, e di progettazione e sviluppo
del software, acquisite nell'ambito del Distributed Systems Group (DSG) del Dipartimento di
Ingegneria dell'Informazione, di cui faccio parte dal 2003.
Sono stato anche Relatore di 20 tesi di laurea e Tutore di sei dottorandi, presso lo stesso
Dipartimento.
Sono ideatore e organizzatore, dal 2010, del Workshop on MOdeling and Simulation of Peerto-Peer and Autonomic Systems (MOSPAS), nell'ambito della International Conference on
High Performance Computing & Simulation (HPCS), con proceedings editi da IEEE.
Competenze professionali
La mia attività di ricerca riguarda i seguenti temi:
•
modelli stocastici e simulazione ad eventi discreti di sistemi distribuiti complessi e
adattativi;
•
progettazione e realizzazione di architetture orientate ai servizi e middleware per
sistemi distribuiti, anche di tipo mobile;
•
robotica distribuita e Ambient Intelligence;
•
Wireless Sensor Networks.
Tale attività è testimoniata dalle oltre 80 pubblicazioni su riviste, libri e proceeding di conferenze
internazionali con peer review, nonché dal software open source rilasciato.
Sono membro dell'IEEE dal 2001.
