MONTE MADERNO - VALLE DEL BORNICO
Si parcheggia al Piazzale Roma e si percorre il lungolago fino alla Piazza di Maderno. Si sale a fianco
della Chiesa Romanica XI sec.1 per Via Benamati, fino al bivio con Via Moretto, si imbocca a sinistra
Via San Pietro e si sale per Montemaderno fino all’incrocio con Via Fontane. Si continua a salire a
sinistra per altri 100 mt, giunti alla strada comunale di Montemaderno la si attraversa imboccando
di fronte la strada sterrata di Via Oriolo. Dopo circa 150 mt, si gira a sinistra, percorrendo il
sentiero che porta a Stina. Si scende a sinistra per 30 mt e si gira subito a destra percorrendo un
sentiero stretto delimitato da siepi e recinzioni fino a Maclino. Si sale a destra per le scalette e si
raggiunge la sala civica comunale che si oltrepassa fino alla strada comunale di Montemaderno.
Si gira a destra per Vigole e dopo soli 50 mt, si gira a sinistra scendendo dietro la casa Anffas fino
all’incrocio di Via Maclino Bezzuglio. A destra si scende per la Valle del Bornico percorrendo una
caratteristica stradina sterrata costeggiata di uliveti e si giunge al Torrente omonimo. Attraversato
il ponte e si sale fino alla vecchia Bassa via del Garda che si percorre in discesa fino al centro
abitato di Bezzuglio. Scendendo per il centro storico, dopo circa 250 mt si gira a sinistra e si
scende per la strada che porta a Fasano. Scendendo sulla destra si può ammirare un casello con
antica limonaia e le vecchie fontane del paese risalenti al 1909. Arrivati all’incrocio con la strada
comunale di Fasano si scende a sinistra, al cartello di Maderno si ritorna al parcheggio di Piazzale
Roma per Via Bornico attraversando la Statale Gardesana 45bis in località Benella e si percorre la
passerella a lago.

La chiesa è il più antico e celebre monumento di Maderno ed al tempo stesso una delle più importanti
testimonianze storico-archeologiche della Riviera.

MONTEMADERNO – BORNÌCO-TAL
Parken Sie das Auto auf dem Parkplatz „Piazzale Roma“ in Maderno, der an der Hauptstraße 45bis
liegt und gehen Sie die Seepromenade entlang bis zum Hauptplatz von Maderno.
Nehmen Sie die Straße links der romanischen Kirche aus dem 11. Jh.,1 Via Benamati, bis zur
Kreuzung mit Via Moretto. Gehen Sie nach links, Via S.Pietro entlang in Richtung Montemaderno
bis zur Kreuzung mit Via Fontane hinauf. Gehen Sie weiter hinauf und halten Sie sich für weitere
100 m links bis zur Straße, die nach Montemaderno führt.
Überqueren Sie diese und nehmen Sie die gegenüberliegende Via Oriolo. Nach ca. 150m biegen
Sie nach links ab auf den Wanderweg, der nach Stina führt. Gehen Sie dann links 30m hinunter
und biegen sie sofort nach rechts auf einen von Hecken und Zäunen umgebenen schmalen Weg
bis Maclino ab. Gehen Sie nach rechts die kleine Treppe hinauf und am Rathaus vorbei bis zur
Gemeindestraße von Montemaderno. Biegen sie rechts Richtung Vigole ab und nach nur 50m gehen
Sie links hinter dem Haus ANFFAS entlang bis zur Kreuzung von Via Maclino Bezzuglio hinunter.
Auf der rechten Seite erreichen Sie das Bornìco-Tal über eine kleine von Olivengärten umgebene
Schotterstraße bis zum gleichnamigen Wildbach. Gehen Sie über die Brücke und hinauf bis zur
alten „Bassa via del Garda“, die Sie bis zum bewohnten Ort Bezzuglio hinunterführt. Sie gehen
durch die alte Ortschaft und nach ca. 250m biegen Sie nach links auf die Straße nach Fasano ab.
Auf der rechten Seite stoßen Sie auf ein charakteristisches Gerätehaus inmitten eines antiken
Limonenhains und auf die alten Dorfbrunnen aus dem Jahr 1909.
An der Kreuzung mit der Gemeindestraße von Fasano gehen Sie links hinunter, an dem Straßenschild
Maderno gehen Sie Via Bornìco entlang. Bei der Pizzeria Benella überqueren Sie die Straße und
über den Laufsteg am See entlang zurück zum Parkplatz Piazzale Roma.

Park at Piazzale Roma and walk along the promenade as far as the square in Maderno.
Go up Via Benamati, by the side of the 11th c. Romanesque church(1), as far as the crossroads
with Via Moretto, turn left into Via S.Pietro and go up towards Montemaderno as far as the
crossroads with Via Fontane. Keep walking to the left for about 100 mt. When you reach the main
road to Montemaderno cross it ang go into the dirt road Via Oriolo. After about 100 mt. turn left
and walk along the path to Sitna. Go down to the left for 30 mt. and turn right , then continue
along a narrow path flanked with hedges and fences as far as Maclino. Go up the staircase on
the right and reach the townhall, pass it and walk to the main road leading to Montemaderno.
Turn right to Vigole and then left after 50 mt., going down behind the Anffas building and reaching
the crossroads of Via Maclino – Bezzuglio. Walk down the Bornico valley on the right, along a dirt
road flanked with olive trees and reach the stream. Cross the bridge and go up as far as the old
“Bassa Via del Garda”. Follow it downhill to the village of Bezzuglio. Go through the centre of the
village and, after about 250 mt., turn left and go down the road to Fasano.
On the right you can admire an ancient lemon-house and the old village fountains dating back to
1909. When you reach the crossroads with the main road to Fasano go down on the left and at
the road sign of Maderno make your way back to the car park of Piazzale Roma along Via Bornico,
then across the main road SS45 bis at Benella and along the lakeside promenade.

The church is not only the most ancient and renowned building in Maderno, but also one of the most
important on the Riviera from the historical and archaeological point of view.
