Nelle colonne sono alloggiati i carri di scorrimento
che fanno da supporto agli oscillanti.
Sono corredati di un sistema a pattini fissi e
registrabili facilmente intercambiabili, realizzati in
speciale lega a basso attrito ed alta resistenza a
base di bronzo, i quali scorrono su guide in acciaio
temperato riportate sulla colonna.
Il movimento di salita-discesa è realizzato con il
collaudatissimo sistema a vite in acciaio al carbonio
rettificato e madrevite in speciale lega di bronzo,
completato da una madrevite più piccola di
sicurezza.
La trasmissione del movimento è data dal rinvio ad
ingranaggi posto sulla testata della colonna che
riceve il moto dal gruppo posto sul collegamento
frontale del telaio.
Un sistema di lubrificazione con centralina di
pompaggio inserito direttamente all'interno di ogni
colonna provvede a garantire una lubrificazione di
tipo a pioggia sia per i pattini che per la madrevite: il
serbatoio è ricavato direttamente nella base della
colonna ed un sistema di protezione a nastro
semirigido, che chiude tutta la colonna, garantisce
la protezione dalle contaminazioni esterne.
Tutto il sistema colonne risulta quanto di più
resistente ed affidabile esista sul mercato ed è il
frutto di quasi sessant'anni di esperienza specifica

ARE HOUSED IN THE COLUMNS
THE COLUMNS ARE MADE IN A SINGLE PIECE
OF A SPECIAL IRON ALLOY. THANKS TO THE
LARGE SECTION AND THE MECHANICAL
DAMPING EFFECT THAT IS INTRINSIC OF IRON
CASTINGS, THEY BEAR THE LOAD OF THE
SWINGING ARMS AND BLADE FRAME AND
DAMPEN THE VIBRATIONS GENERATED BY THE
MOTION OF THE BLADE FRAME AND ITS
CONTACT WITH THE BLOCKS.
The sliding carriages supporting the swinging
arms are housed in the columns and are equipped
with a system of fixed and adjustable sliders made
in a special high resistance, low attrition, bronzebased alloy. The sliders move along tempered,
high resistance steel guides locked onto the
columns and are easily interchangeable.
The blade frame’s vertical motion (up and down
movement) is ensured by means of a well-tested
system based on a rectified carbon steel screw
gear along with a nut screw made in a special
bronze alloy. For safety reasons the screw is
supported by a smaller nut screw made in the
same alloy.
The up and down motion is transmitted by
gearboxes located at the top of each column.
A lubrication system lodged inside each column
provides a continuous spray-type lubrication both
for the sliders and the screws.
The lubricant tank is located at the bottom of each
column together with a pump, a system of semirigid belt-type protection seals each one of the
columns, thereby avoiding any external
contamination.
The complete system represents the best on the
market in terms of reliability and robustness, the
result of almost sixty years of
experience in the field.

IL CARICO DI TENSIONAMENTO DI TUTTE LE LAME
PREVISTE CON DEFORMAZIONI TRASCURABILI.
Il tensionamento ottimale delle lame è assicurato da un
tenditore idraulico a pistoncini che controlla e regola la
tensione durante il lavoro tramite una centralina
oleodinamica controllata dal PLC.
Il tenditore idraulico è in grado di tensionare le lame,
montate con qualunque interasse relativo, in modo da
avere la massima libertà di spessore della lastra
ottenibile anche nella stessa telaiata.

Il quadro portalame è sostenuto dagli oscillanti di
nuovo disegno, di grande rigidezza e con raggio di
oscillazione maggiorato.
In tal modo si è ottenuta una traiettoria delle lame
appiattita che, abbinata ad una corsa allungata,
garantiscono una geometria di taglio ad alto
rendimento e una massima resa sia in termini di cala
su ogni materiale, sia di ottimizzazione dei
consumabili e che consentono al telaio di fornire
prestazioni ineguagliabili in termini di produzione e
qualità del lavoro.

Optimum tensioning is ensured by a
hydraulic tensioner equipped with
pistons.
The hydraulic tensioner can tension
the blades set at any desired distance
to saw different thicknesses, even
during the same sawing session.
The blade frame is held by two
swinging arms of a new design which
is sturdy and allows for a greater
swinging radius.
In addition it results in a very flat
trajectory of the blade frame which,
combined with the longer stroke,
ensures a fast down-feed and
maximum yield on all materials as well
as the optimisation of consumption to
achieve unequalled performance in
terms of production and quality.

L'albero di batteria è ricavato da un forgiato di acciaio
speciale ad alta resistenza, mentre l'eccentrico completo
di perno biella è ottenuta da una fusione in lega speciale
che conferisce al componente una assoluta resistenza alla
fatica.
Il volano di grandi dimensioni, a grande inerzia per
regolarizzare il moto alternato, ed i supporti di batteria, che
alloggiano i cuscinetti orientabili a rulli, sono fusioni di
ghisa.
La biella, integralmente costruita in acciaio speciale, ha
una sezione di spessore variabile secondo un nostro
sistema esclusivo.
L'attacco della biella al quadro portalame è ottenuto con
quattro prigionieri di grosse dimensioni che eliminano
tutte le saldature e le conseguenti rotture e fatica.
La variazione della lunghezza della biella, necessaria a
rettificare la traiettoria del quadro portalame durante la
discesa verticale in fase di lavoro, è ottenuta con un
sistema ad eccentrico interposto tra il perno dell'albero di
batteria ed il cuscinetto della testa di biella azionato,
tramite catena, da un motoriduttore.
Quando il telaio sta lavorando il bloccaggio della biella è
garantito da un pacco di molle a tazza, mentre l'apertura
temporanea, necessaria ad effettuare la rotazione
dell'eccentrico,è eseguita da un cilindro idraulico che va a
contrastare la forza delle molle.

THE SYSTEM, COMPOSED OF THE FLYWHEEL, THE MAIN SHAFT WITH ITS SUPPORTS, THE ECCENTRIC AND
THE CONNECTING ROD TRANSMITTING THE DRIVING MOTION TO THE BLADE FRAME, FORMS THE HEART
OF THE GANGSAW. IT IS IN FACT HERE THAT THE DRIVING FORCE PUSHING AND PULLING THE BLADES OVER
THE BLOCKS IS GENERATED AND THIS IS WHY EACH COMPONENT HAS TO BE MANUFACTURED WITH
GREAT CARE IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE BEST RESULTS BOTH IN TERMS OF WORKING LIFE AND PERFORMANCE.
The main shaft is machined from a piece of special, high
resistance forged steel, while the eccentric and its shaft are
machined out of a single casting in a special alloy to make
the component highly resistant to fatigue.
The very large flywheel which accumulates great inertia
and hence stabilises the alternate motion of the blade
frame sits on self-aligning barrel bearings housed in heavy
castings.
The connecting rod is made entirely in a special steel and
has a variable section following our own specifications.
The connecting rod is linked to the blade frame by four
large stud bolts which avoids any welding and
consequently any breakages or stress.
The length of the connecting rod must be altered so as to
adjust the trajectory of the blade frame during sawing.
This is achieved by means of an eccentric moved by a
motor reducer and a chain drive placed between the
eccentric shaft and the connecting rod big end bearing.
When the gang saw is in operation, the connecting rod
is locked by a pack of disk springs.
The system is opened for the short time required to alter
the length of the connecting rod (rotating the eccentric)
by means of a hydraulic cylinder which counteracts the
force of the springs.

Questa è l’unica soluzione che garantisce la
equiripartizione del flusso di miscela sui tagli,
distribuendo uniformemente l’abrasivo su tutta la
superficie interessata.
Collettore e tubi di erogazione sono realizzati in
gomma anti-abrasiva, garanzia di migliore
rendimento, in termini di durata, per tali organi.

ADJUSTMENT OF THE ABRASIVE SLURRY
Completamente gestito da un PLC opportunamente
programmato è in grado di confrontare campioni di miscela
trattati secondo schemi definiti e rilevati a tempi prestabiliti,
con i valori di “miscele ideali”. È chiaro che, considerando
lo scostamento dai valori presi a riferimento rispetto a quelli
effettivamente misurati, si possono dedurre le regolazioni
necessarie per la correzione della viscosità e della quantità
di graniglia attiva presente nella miscela. È possibile,
altresì, impostare più valori campione, relativamente alla
stessa telaiata, che verranno presi come dati di riferimento
in funzione della profondità raggiunta dalle lame nel blocco
durante l’operazione di taglio.
Il MIX-LAB garantisce, pertanto, un costante e preciso
controllo della miscela abrasiva, nei suoi due parametri
principali:
- viscosità
- contenuto di graniglia abrasiva attiva.
Questo, naturalmente, permette agli addetti macchina di
concentrarsi sulle altre fasi del processo produttivo.
Risultati naturali, oltre ad una maggiore efficienza ed un
migliore rendimento generale della macchina, saranno
immediatamente riscontrabili nella segagione di qualità
superiore ed un consumo di graniglia metallica e delle lame
ottimizzato.
The laboratory is entirely operated by a specially
programmed PLC which can compare samples of
abrasive slurry, which have been specifically treated and
taken at set times, with values for “standard abrasiveslurries”. Based on the differences arising from the
measured values and the reference values it is possible to
establish the adjustments necessary to correct the
viscosity and the quantity of the steel shot in the abrasive
slurry. The PLC software also makes it possible to insert
data for different abrasive slurries for the same cutting
session which may be used as reference data according
to the penetration of the blade into the block.
The MIX-LAB ensures a constant and accurate control of
the abrasive slurries, as regards its two main parameters:
- viscosity
- active steel-shot content.
This allows the machine operators to concentrate on the
other phases of the production process. Hence, in
addition to better efficiency and yield of the gang saw, the
results will immediately be apparent in the superior cutting
quality and reduced consumption of steel shot and
blades.

UN’EVOLUZIONE INTEGRALE ALL’INTERO PROCESSO
PRODUTTIVO.
La GASPARI MENOTTI grazie ad un software particolarmente
sofisticato ha permesso un’ulteriore evoluzione nella segagione
del granito, con lo scopo di completare il ciclo aperto dai sistemi di
automazione per i telai e risultato ancora più importante di
ottimizzare la produzione, sia sotto il profilo qualitativo sia sotto
quello quantitativo.
Il software grazie ad una semplice e chiara impostazione di
parametri permette di intervenire in modo automatico ed
autonomo, variando la velocità di discesa delle lame (velocità di
taglio), in funzione del numero delle stesse, delle lunghezza dei
blocchi, della durezza del granito, degli assorbimenti di energia
del motore volano. Può - inoltre - intervenire sul consumo della
graniglia, sulla composizione della miscela, sulla viscosità e su
tutti i parametri che, fino ad oggi, erano patrimonio esclusivo
dell’esperienza.

Tutte le fasi della lavorazione, tutti i parametri di taglio, tutti i
valori impostati ed i dati di riferimento possono essere
monitorati, ed eventualmente corretti, in modo chiaro e di
immediata interpretazione, così da controllare
costantemente, ed in tempo reale, il corretto andamento di
tutte le fasi di lavoro.
Il feeling con il macchinario è immediato grazie alla nuova e
intuitiva interfaccia grafica Touch-screen che permetterà
all'operatore di usufruire velocemente delle numerose
funzioni disponibili.
Per esigenze di elaborazione dati come per la contabilità
industriale od anche solo per l’archiviazione dei dati di
lavorazione, è possibile stampare su modulo continuo tutti i
dati ed i valori che compaiono sulle pagine elettroniche dello
schermo.
È quindi possibile un'analisi del costo industriale della
segagione che, elaborata, permette la contabilità grazie ad un
accurato sistema di rilevamento dati, consumi, tempi.
Tutti i componenti hardware utilizzati, sia elettronici che
elettromeccanici, provengono esclusivamente da brand di
primaria importanza mondiale e quindi facilmente reperibili in
qualsiasi parte del mondo.

It can also intervene as regards the consumption of steel shot, the
composition of the mixture, the viscosity and all the parameters
which to date have depended on experience alone.
All the processing phases, all the cutting parameters, all the values
set and the reference data can be monitored - and if necessary
corrected – clearly and promptly so as to keep a constant check, in
real time, of the correct performance of all the working phases.
Operators will immediately become familiar with the machines
thanks to the new and intuitive touch screen graphic interface
which allows for the quick selection of the many functions available.
If necessary for industrial accounting or even just for filing the
processing data, it is possible to print all the data and values which
appear on the electronic pages of the screen on fanfold paper.
Hence, thanks to an accurate system of data collection and
monitoring of consumption and time, it is possible to make an
industrial sawing cost analysis.
All the hardware components used, both electronic and
electromechanical, are exclusively of leading brands and
consequently easy to find on the market anywhere in the world.

GASPARI CONNECT SERVICE (GCS )
Gaspari Connect Service® è il nuovo servizio integrato di assistenza
remota messo a disposizione dei propri clienti dalla Gaspari Menotti. Il
GCS® è montato su tutte le macchine di nuova generazione
(lucidatrici, linea resinatura e movimentazione, macchine a filo
diamantato e tagliatrici per lastre) ed è una infrastuttura informatica
chiavi in mano gia configurata che utilizza la rete internet come canale
di comunicazione.
Unica condizione necessaria per poter fornire questo tipo di servizio è
un accesso ad internet all'interno dello stabilimento produttivo.
UN SISTEMA IN CONTINUA EVOLUZIONE
Il vecchio sistema di tele-assistenza utilizzava il canale telefonico,
analogico o digitale, che aveva il vantaggio di essere estremamente
diffuso e di facile utilizzo ma non garantiva una velocità di connessione
elevata con conseguente limitazione del sistema. GCS® adotta
internet come canale di comunicazione tenendo conto che ormai la
diffusione delle connessioni alla rete sono sempre più diffuse anche
nei settori aziendali medio piccoli.
A SYSTEM CONSTANTLY DEVELOPING
The old remote assistance system used analog or digital phone lines
which had the advantage of being almost everywhere and easy to use
yet did not guarantee high connection speeds. Hence it limited the
overall efficiency of the system.
GCS® uses the internet as its communication channel since access to
the internet is becoming increasingly common nowadays even in
small factories.

Gaspari Connect Service® is the new integrated service of remote
assistance available for Gaspari Menotti customers. GCS® is already
installed on all Gaspari’s new generation machines (polishing
machines, resin and handling lines, diamond wire machines and slab
cutting lines). It is a turnkey data processing system, already set up,
which uses internet as its communication channel.
The only condition necessary to take advantage of this service is an
internet connection inside the factory.
Control
The GCS® connection with the network can be activated by the
customer only by means of a special control located on the machine.
In this way, the customer has complete control of the remote access
to his own machine.
