L'installazione di Daniele Innamorato nella Hall del Grand Hotel et de Milan appartiene a una serie che l'artista ha
provocatoriamente chiamato 'Stupid Artists Combine Things', facendo riferimento a quella corrente nel mondo dell'arte
contemporanea che nacque con le avanguardie di Marcel Duchamp, passando per Robert Rauschemberg e per le 'macchine inutili'
di Bruno Munari, al cui nome si ispira pescando nello stesso registro linguistico e nella voluta auto-ironia, fino alla deriva
postmoderna del tutto possibile in ogni luogo, tempo e spazio semantico.
Ogni interpretazione site specific dei lavori appartenenti alla serie, è studiata per dare voce al luogo in cui è installata e farsi
portatrice dei temi, della funzione, della percezione e della fruizione del luogo stesso. Se la forma è quindi di volta in volta simile e
riconoscibile, il portato emotivo e narrativo è sempre differente, in un rapporto di 'sempre uguale ma sempre diverso'.
'Trattato sui suoni...' si manifesta come un'installazione aerea composta da carte, cartoncini e fogli in pvc colorati fluo su cui in alcuni
casi l'artista è intervenuto con vernice reagente alla luce di Wood (presente nel corpus della struttura), piegati e assemblati per
creare forme diverse unite da fili colorati.
L'opera non nasce da un preciso progetto in studio, ma viene creata in loco, partendo dai materiali scelti e pre-lavorati, assumendo
una forma che è direttamente legata al sentito del luogo in quel momento. In questo caso specifico si è scelto di raccontare la storia
dell'Hotel gestito da generazioni dalla famiglia Bertazzoni. Il titolo combina tempi musicali, nomi e azioni con una grammatica dal
piglio futurista, chiamando in causa le personalità eccellenti che ne hanno attraversato le sale e vi hanno soggiornato, a partire da
Giuseppe Verdi. Un omaggio biografico per nulla autorizzato fatto di forme, colori e luminescenze, in cui l'artista celebra il lavoro
altrui e si prende la libertà di immaginare il lato intimo e carnale di cui l'Hotel è stato testimone.
Hotel che diventa sineddoche della città, microcosmo da cui partire per un personalissimo elogio a maestri passati e presenti del
mondo dell'arte, del design e della leggerezza.
L‟esposizione è parte di un progetto che include STRAFhotel&bar con un‟installazione dal titolo “TIME – Stupid artists combine
things”, dal 24 marzo al 13 aprile 2014. Inaugurazione 11 aprile 2014 con dj set di Daniele Innamorato, Federica Perazzoli e Jacopo
Bedussi dalle ore 19:00.

DANIELE INNAMORATO
è nato nel 1969 a Milano, dove vive e lavora.
Mentre termina i suoi studi in fotografia, inizia la sua ricerca sulla pittura, dapprima con un approccio figurativo, per trasformarlo poi
in astrazione totale.
Dal 2003 ha tenuto mostre personali presso Careof / Fabbrica del Vapore (2003, Milano, a cura di G. Del Vecchio), Galleria Paolo
Curti Annamaria Gambuzzi & Co. (2007 e 2010, Milano), Spazio Ciboh (2008, Milano), Grand Hotel Majestic (2011, Bologna), Nilufar
Galllery (2012 , Parigi e Dubai), Chiesa del Luogo Pio (2012, Livorno ).
Le sue opere sono presenti in numerose mostre collettive, tra le quali: Palazzo Reale (2000, Milano), Openspace dell'Umanitaria
(2000, Milano), Villa Serena (2003, Bologna) , Kunsthalle Locarno (2006, Locarno, CH), Galleria Nilufar (2008 e 2012, Milano),
Galleria Paolo Curti Annamaria Gambuzzi (2009 , Milano) ; inoltre ha esposto i suoi lavori in numerose fiere d'arte contemporanea
internazionali. Recensioni delle sue rappresentazioni sono state presenti in Flash Art, Artforum e molte altre riviste internazionali .

THE “STUPID ARTISTS COMBINE THINGS‟ series “TREATY ON SOUNDS, NOTES, AND NOISE WHICH CREATE SHAPES,
RAPID WALLOPS BY RUSSOLO, DIGITAL PUNCH-UP WITH VERDI, SHRIVELLED ELECTRIC WIRING WITH MUNARI, LIVELY
NOTES WITH CALCAGNILE, VIOLENT FIGHTS IN 105 AND SEX AND CARNAZZA IN 106”
Daniele Innamorato‟s installation in the Grand Hotel et de Milan‟s hall belongs to a series that the artist provokingly titled “Stupid
Artists Combine Things,” in reference to a trend set within the world of contemporary art, beginning with Marcel Duchamp‟s avantguardie, followed by Robert Rauschemberg, through to Bruno Munari‟s “useful machines”, the name having been inspired by the
relative linguistic register and the intention of self-irony, up until the post-modern drift, all is possible in any place, time and semantic
space. Every site specific interpretation of each work as a part of the series, has been studied to give voice to the distinct location in
which it has been installed as well as representative of that theme, of its function, and of the preception and use of the that particular
location. Thus, even if the shape seems to be similar and recognizable each time, the emotional aspect and narration is always
different; a relationship which is “always the same but always different.”
“Treaty on sound,” manifests itself as an air-installation composed of cards, cardboard and sheets of paper made of blurry colored
PVC, in some cases, the artist intervened, using paint reagent to wood (present within the body of the structure), bent and
assembled to create different shapes connected by colored wiring. The artwork hasn‟t been conceived from a well-defined studio
project, but is created on-site, starting with materials carefully selected and previously manupulated, obtaining a shape, which
defines the sense which that location provides in that particular moment. In this case, the choice is to tell the story of the Hotel which
has been run by the Bertazzoni family for generations. The title is a combination of musical rythm, names and actions structured in a
futuristic manner, calling on such personalities par excellence, who have wandered through the halls as well as sojourned in them,
starting with Giuseppe Verdi. A biographical hommage, by all means unauthorized, made of shapes, colors and luminescences, in
which the artist celebrates the works of others, yet taking the liberty to imagine the intimate and carnal side of which the Hotel is
testimony. The Hotel acts as synecdoche to the city, a microcosm from which a most personal acclamation is made to the masters,
past and present, of art, design and lightness.
The exhibit is part of a project which includes the STRAFhotel&bar with the installation called, “TIME – Stupid artists combine
things,” from March 24 to the April 13, 2014 with dj set by Daniele Innamorato, Federica Perazzoli and Jacopo Bedussi from 19:00.

was born in 1969 in Milan, where he lives and works.
While finishing his studies in photography, he started his research on painting, at fisrt with a figurative approach, to eventually turn
into total abstraction.
From 2003, he had solo shows at CareOf/ Fabbrica del vapore (2003, Milan, curated by G. Del Vecchio), Galleria Paolo Curti
Annamaria Gambuzzi & Co. (2007 and 2010, Milan), Ciboh Space (2008, Milan), Grand Hotel Majestic (2011, Boulogne), Nilufar
Galllery (2012, Paris and Dubai), Chiesa del Luogo Pio (2012, Livorno).
His works were featured in many group exhibitions, among which: Palazzo Reale (2000, Milan), Openspace dell‟Umanitaria (2000,
Milan), Villa Serena (2003, Boulogne), Kunsthalle Locarno (2006, Locarno, CH), Nilufar Gallery (2008 and 2012, Milan), Galleria
Paolo Curti Annamaria Gambuzzi (2009, Milan); and has been exhibited in many International contemporary art fairs.
Reviews of his shows were featured in Flash Art, Artforum, and many other International magazines.
